Chapter 219 Visiting Matthew

"He told me that he was going back to the police station," Henry replied.

"Okay. I'll come and see him."

Henry hung up the phone and saw Matthew looking at him.

He immediately explained, "Miss Norah called, saying she would come to the police station to see you."

"Okay!" Matthew nodded.

After a brief pause, he continued, "Go and pick her up." Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

"Our police station is easy to find. Are you afraid she'll miss it?"

He met Matthew's deep eyes and quickly corrected himself. "I'll go right away."

Henry went to get another car and called Norah. "Miss Norah, please stay at the hospital. I'm coming to

pick you up."

"Okay," she replied.

Since they had only just left the hospital, it didn't take long for Henry to come back and find Norah.

As soon as she got into the car, Henry received a phone call.

"Mr. O'flagen has been taken home by his family. You can take Miss Norah to his home," said the

caller.

"Okay."

Norah was tired from taking care of Shawn over the past few days and drifted off to sleep.

When she opened her eyes, she saw the winding road ahead and felt strange.

But she didn't say anything.

After a while, her sense of unease grew stronger. "Is this the way to the police station? It doesn't look

like what I remember."

Henry smacked his forehead and said apologetically, "Well, I forgot to tell you when you were asleep.

O'flagen has been taken home by his family, and we're going to his house."

His house?

Norah was upset, thinking it was impolite to just show up at someone's home unannounced.

But before she could say anything, Henry pulled over. "Here we are."

He got out and went around to open the car door for her.

Norah stepped out of the car and was shocked by what she saw.

The place in front of her was a proper manor.

It wasn't the kind gilded with gold and exuded the smell of money.

But it looked atmospheric and low-key.

The whole manor resembled Arcadia. It was beautiful.

But Norah was upset about visiting Matthew at his home.

Henry helped her carry the gifts and enthusiastically urged her to go in. "Our captain is inside. Please

follow me."

"Oh... Okay."

Since she had already arrived at the door, it would be inappropriate if she didn't go in and see the host

in person.

Norah froze when she reached the living room.

Several women were sitting there, and they all looked over at her.

Among them was an older one dressed elegantly. She looked at Norah in surprise and gave a gentle

smile. "Henry, who is the lady with you here?"

Excited, she quickly put down her cup, unaware that the coffee was spilled.

All eyes fell on Norah.

The girl boasted a waterfall of long hair and fair skin. She was truly radiant.

Henry, who knew the old lady's thoughts, quickly explained, "This is Norah, a friend of Matthew. She

knew that Matthew was injured and came to visit him."

"Oh." Kaitlyn nodded in dismay, but her eyes soon gained their brilliance. "Miss Norah, if you don't

mind, join us to have some coffee here. I'll have someone go up and fetch Mat."

Finding it hard to refuse, Norah nodded, walked to the sofa with light steps, and sat down.

"Please feel at home. What kind of coffee would you like? I'll have someone prepare it for you."

"Cappuccino will be fine, thank you."

Kaitlyn nodded and immediately turned to the housekeeper. "Please make a cup of Cappuccino for

Miss Norah."

"Thank you, Mrs. O'flagen."

Melisa hastened upstairs.

In her hurry, she didn't knock but directly pushed the door open while shouting, "Brother!"

As the words left her mouth, she noticed that Matthew was changing his shirt and the buttons were still

undone.

She groaned inwardly and hurriedly turned around.

Obsessive-compulsive, Matthew didn't allow anyone to watch him change clothes. Even if he had

finished changing, they had to wait until he buttoned up and looked neat enough.

She had complained about it to her mother and sister many times.

Her sister would tap her head. "Come on, it's not a big deal. He wants to reserve the privilege for his

future wife. What are you jealous about?"

"Well, he's in such good shape, and I just want to appreciate it, nothing more."

"Go appreciate your husband's body."

"I'll definitely find a man who's more handsome and has a better figure than Matthew. Humph!"

While she was lost in thought, a voice came from behind her.

"Barging in without knocking? Fortunately, it was me. What if it had been someone else?" Matthew had

finished buttoning his shirt.

Melisa turned around and stuck out her tongue playfully. "I really didn't mean it this time. I was just in a

hurry for something important."

"Something important?" Matthew raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

"That girl you picked up on the mountain... She..." Melisa stammered, too anxious to speak clearly.

"You mean Norah is here?" Matthew was able to comprehend it.

Melisa nodded hurriedly. "Yes, it's that girl. She came to our house to see you. Mom kept her in the

living room to drink coffee. You didn't see Mom's look. She was so..."

Before she could finish her words, Matthew had already stridden off.

Melisa watched him leave in a hurry and muttered to herself, "Pfft, you deny that you like her, but your

actions give you away."

She wondered if her brother would still be so cold and aloof when he had a wife.

When Matthew reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw Norah drinking coffee with Kaitlyn.

From the moment Norah entered the room, Kaitlyn hadn't stopped smiling.

"It's almost lunchtime. Join us for lunch. What would you like to eat? I'll have food prepared."

Norah was flattered, finding it hard to reject such a gentle woman.

Matthew came up, took her cup from behind, and put it down on the table lightly.

He then turned to Kaitlyn. "She's going with me. Enjoy your coffee."

With that, he took Norah by the hand and led her upstairs.
