Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1435

The following day, Fiona didn't stir until around nine. After a quick freshen-up, she stumbled downstairs, still wrapped in a sleepy haze. Man, she was tired. Her eyelids felt like they weighed a ton until she caught sight of a slender young man in the kitchen, rocking an apron and busy cooking away. Her sleepiness vanished in an instant! The young man wore a white long-sleeved shirt and grey trousers with a black apron tied at his waist. Despite his lean build, he had a surprisingly toned physique, muscles subtly outlined under his loose clothes. Hearing Fiona's footsteps, he glanced over at her. The cool light from the wall lamp illuminated him, highlighting his pale yet serene features. His neat short hair framed a pair of sharp, striking eyebrows. When he lifted his single eyelids, faint creases appeared, and the light sparkled in his eyes, giving him an intense, almost mysterious vibe.

Suddenly wide awake, Fiona realized she hadn't recognized him in her sleepy state. It wasn't until he spoke, "Ms. Fiona," that she remembered he was the guy she had brought back from the sanatorium the day before.

Jeez. He really was a looker. Facing someone like him every day would be a real test for her flirtatious side.

Tyler, oblivious to her thoughts, emerged from the kitchen with a plate. "I wasn't sure what you'd like, Ms. Fiona, so I whipped up a few things."

He'd prepared a spread of Western breakfast staples since he wasn't familiar with Chinese cooking. Pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, toast-you name it, it was there.

Fiona speared a pancake with her fork, taking a bite that filled her mouth with delicious flavors a perfect blend of sweetness without being heavy. "Wow, you're quite the chef," she said, thoroughly enjoying the meal, cheeks puffed out with satisfaction. Tyler watched her anxiously but relaxed when he saw her genuine enjoyment. "If you like it, I'll make it for you every day."

Fiona had brought him out of the sanatorium, and he felt he couldn't do much for her in return. If she liked his cooking, he'd happily cook for her daily.noveldrama

"I'd love that, but it might not be doable," Fiona sighed, motioning for him to sit and eat with her.

Tyler thought she might be worried about bothering him or being lazy so he quickly reassured her he was up for it every day! He could rise early! He didn't mind the effort!

"You should move out this afternoon," Fiona said abruptly, stopping him in his tracks.

Move out? Was she tired of him already? Had she changed her mind just after bringing him back?

That's okay, he was used to it by now. "Alright," he said, placing his hands on his knees, gripping his trousers tightly despite his calm expression. "I'll move out."

"Do you know where you're going?" Fiona asked, amused by his willingness. "A friend's got a place not too far from here. You can stay there. Living alone might feeDmore comfortable."

Tyler looked at her with surprise. So she wasn't just casting him aside?

"I've got to run an errand this morning, but I'll send Mikey over in the afternoon to help you move. If I'm back early, I'll pitch in too," Fiona said cheerfully, unable to resist another pancake. Tyler's cooking really was something else.

"Tyler, could you grab me a container?" she asked. There was plenty left, and she figured it'd be perfect to take some for Issac when they headed to the hospital later.
