Loving You In Secret

Chapter 1676

Chapter 1676

However, reality proved very different from what Avery and Alana had hoped for.

Tyler refused to go along with their plans. He even went as far as threatening to cut ties with them.

“Sorry, but I’m not going to raise any kid that isn’t mine,” he said ruthlessly. “And I’ll never marry a woman who cheated on me while we’re engaged.”

Avery could not believe her ears. “But you told me you believed me and that you forgave me!”

Tyler looked at Avery indifferently. “Don’t tell me you really think I’ll be that forgiving? Or that I like being cheated on and raising another man’s kid?” He sneered.

“Tyler, is it because you think I’m…dirty now? I can explain. I didn’t mean to—”

“I wouldn’t want to marry you even if all those things didn’t happen. Guess I forgot to tell you that I’ve never liked you,” interjected Tyler.

“Then why did you agree to the engagement?!” asked Avery hysterically.

Tyler raised an eyebrow. “Because you asked me to, and I thought I’d go along with the plan until I don’t have to.”

Avery looked dazedly at him. At that moment, she strongly experienced just how cruel Tyler could be.

“So was it all pretend? The thoughtfulness and gentleness you’ve shown me?” she asked.

“Gentleness? I don’t remember ever being gentle with you.” Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Avery gaped like a goldfish. She wanted to say something, but even her thoughts failed. It was as if there was a rock stuck in her throat.

‘Tyler is right. He’s never been gentle with me.’

Avery looked like she was about to cry. “Just…what was I to you in all the four years we’ve been together?”

“Without you and your family’s support, it might’ve taken me longer to be the head of my family,” answered Tyler ruthlessly.

He was not shy about burning bridges at all!

Staring at Tyler’s cold face, Avery finally realized something. She pointed at him and asked, “It was you who set me up to sleep with Lincoln, wasn’t it?”

She had always felt something was off about this matter. After all, why would Lincoln suddenly appear in her room when he was supposed to be sleeping with Vicky that night?

Avery could not figure out why the sudden change occurred, so in the end, she blamed Lincoln for everything.

She thought it might be because Lincoln lusted after her or did not want her to marry Tyler, so he changed his mind at the last minute.

Avery glared at Tyler. “And the video that played at our wedding ceremony! That was you too, wasn’t it?! You ruined our wedding because you didn’t want to marry me!”

“Yes,” said Tyler simply.

At that point, there was no need to hide the truth.

Hatred began to fill Avery’s eyes. She was clenching her fists so hard that some of her nails broke, and even her gums were bleeding from all the teeth gnashing.

She looked into Tyler’s eyes. “Tyler Hart, mark my words—you’re going to regret this for the rest of your life! I’m going to make you pay for humiliating me like this!”
