Chapter 89: Advice
-Leon's POV-
My army and Latis' met and my sword went to work.
I had a destination in mind, it was the commander's post.
Much like Sir William the commander of our enemy forces was stationed in a select area near the
battleground.
That was where I headed, no matter how many people I had to slaughter I was getting there.
Swords clashed in every direction, the sound of metal almost resonated a smithy.
The people of the same race pounded and swung away at each other all around me. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
I noticed Jesse close by fighting, blood flew from the soldiers he just laid down.
His voice was heard as readily as the sword.
No soldier seemed to get within a distance of the carriage, many soldiers grouped around it.
They were my soldiers, of course, they were protecting the one thing I cared about most in this world,
well should I say two.
She resisted my action, she said it was a bit illogical, I did it anyway.
Though this was all for the main goal.
I spun around the battlefield, almost dancing with the enemy.
Red flew in every direction, both blood and my mana, as did my sword, slicing through soldiers like
butter.
It was a breeze, I noticed soldiers start trying to get out of my way, it was the smart option.
My soldier as well, were in a bit of astonishment of how easily their king took down forces single-
handedly.
Jesse and a few other men followed me, I already paved a good way through to the end goal.
Once we took down the last remaining few who resisted our push forward, we made it to him.
It was a spot pretty far off it seemed to be there main campc though there soldiers were alittle
preoccupied with the battle to notice us.
He was alone at this point standing near a table spouting orders to one of his men.
He didn't realize my entering, though once seeing us he was quite surprised.
He fell to the ground and backed up on his behind, edging his way to the exit behind him.
"Are you Commander of these forces.?"
He didn't speak he was quite startled, I don't think the blood coming off my unsheathed sword helped.
One of the ones around me spoke.
"That's him, your highness, Commander Walbrook."
The man kept edging closer and closer to the exit, though Jesse seemed to block that escape quite
quickly.
I crouched down to his levels my dagger was out, just to add some flare to my words.
"Great, we don't need introductions then. I think you know who I am, my presence throughout the
country seems to have been made clear. So I'm going to make this really easy for you, if you want the
lives of your soldiers, the ones you have left anyway, and yourself to be spared, then I suggest you
follow my orders."
"Why would I."
I stared him down, my dagger inching for him.
"Then why don't we just call it advice, to let it seem less forced upon you... Are you listening.?"
He nodded and stared at me in the eye.
"Good... now I've already informed your king about holding a meeting.. so the wisest thing for you to do
is to pull back those few forces you have left and open up that border without any resistance."
