A Love Restore 193
Chapter 193
When I came to, my vision was dark and my breaths short, I blinked to adjust to the light on my face and took a deep breath.
“Ginevra?” Julian’s voice from the front of the car was frantic and concerned. Desperate, even
My brain felt hary, thoughts were slow. I clenched my eyes shut, then remembered. I put my hand between my legs, and sure enough I was still bleeding. I tried to sit up, but Julian yelled, “Lay down?” It wasn’t a harsh yell, just a worried one. “We’re just reaching the hospital. How how are you feeling?”
“My belly hurts.” And it did. Like the worst period cramp of my life. Even worse than that
I heard Julian let out a huge, shaky breath. He rapidly wiped at his eyes. “I called the doctor. She asked to rush to the hospital.
I found myself clutching tightly at my belly – in pain, in protection, or just plain worry, I didn’t know. I closed my eyes and began praying.
“This isn’t normal,” I whispered, “It’s too late in the pregnancy for something like this.” I felt a tear slip my eye. A panicked tear, while my heart beat hard and fast inside my chest.
“We’ll be fine.” Julian said, but his voice was small and wavering, like he wasn’t sure of it. I wasn’t either.
It couldn’t be happening. This couldn’t be happening. Not after everything we had gone through. All the pain and trials and tests and failures only for it to end like this?
God, I prayed and prayed for what felt like hours, in the back of that car, but it was probably just a few minutes. My baby. wanted, for her to be okay. My little girl. My sweet daughter. She was not even here yet, and I loved her so.
. Just save my baby. That’s all I
I felt Julian pull in to the parking lot. He got out of the car and rushed to the back, picking me up princess style. He ran to the emergency wing with me in his arms, 1 lay limp as he ran. My body had no energy
I was only half awake and half aware as the attendants took me and Julian lay me down on a stretcher. I was rushed into a room and I knew the doctor was there, looking at me, but I was feeling so drowsy, I barely registered it. A nurse injected me with something, and I felt myself pass out
When I woke up, I was so thirsty. I looked around the room, looking for a glass of water, or someone I could ask for water. A nurse or someone. I looked around and saw Julian sitting uncomfortably on a small chair. He had somehow managed to fit his tall figure in the small cramped space. His head was thrown back as he slept with his mouth slightly open.
I looked down at myself in the hospital gown.
“Julian?” I could barely bring my voice to a whisper, but he heard it. He stirred awake and quickly shot out of his seat, running to my side.
“Ginevra!” His eyes had lit up. He tenderly cupped my face and laid a chaste kiss on my forehead
“Water?”
He looked around frantically, and spotted a water bottle on a table. He took the bottle, and pressed it to my lips. I drank the entirety of the small bottle. My throat was so dry.
“Let me get the nurse,” Julian told me. He pressed another kiss to my forehead. As he turned around to leave, I reached out to grab his hand. I didn’t have much strength, so it was barely a graze of my fingers on his. But he understood and turned around.
“Is she okay?” Was my only question. It was the only question that mattered. The only thing I cared about.
Julian nodded slowly, and a wave of relief washed over me. It was like blood was rushing back into my heart, my bloodstream, like my consciousness was awakening again. He clenched his eyes shut, whispering a prayer to the ceiling. “You’ll both be okay,” his voice cracked at the end. “I’ll be back,” He answered in a rush, quickly moving out of the room.
A few moments later, a nurse and a doctor came into the room, followed by Julian on their trial. The nurse took my vitals while the doctor asked me how I was feeling. I was feeling a lot better now that Julian told me that our baby was fine
“I’m assuming your husband told you that the baby is fine, so relax. You are fine, too.” The doctor told me.

She had called Julian my husband. Neither of us corrected her. Its not like it mattered.
I nodded, and she smiled. “I know its worrisome, but everything seems fine. Its rare, but sometimes bleeding occurs in late stage pregnancy. I will suggest limiting strenuous activity, sexual activity, and more eating healthy.”
“Thank you.” I told her.
She told me I could be discharged soon, and then left. I looked at Julian, and he smiled slightly. He reached out and held my hand, and squeezed.
