Chapter 378

The cold blade terrified Queena, draining the color from her face as her eyes filled with tears. With trembling hands, she took the phone and dialed the familiar number. Vincent’s voice soon came through “Who is thi

“Vince, it’s me. The moment Querna heard his familiar voice, she couldn’t hold hack any longer and burst into tears.

“Queena, what’s wrong?” Vincent asked anxiously over the phone.

Queena choked back her tears, reluctant to speak until a sharp pain shot through her jaw. Slowly, she said, “Vince, Arvin kidnapped me. He wants to exchange me for Yolanda.

“What Where are you now? Vincent panicked, his voice rising with urgency. He knew firsthand how crazily obsessed Arvin was with Yolanda. With Queena now in Arvin’s hands, the situation had become dangerously unpredictable.

“I don’t know. All I know is that Tm in a small house right now, Queens replied tearfully.

Arvin listened intently to their phone conversation and promptly issued a chilling threat, “Don’t say anything you shouldn’t.” Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Upon hearing Arvin’s voice, Vincent shouted angrily. “Arvin, I warn you not to lay a finger on Queens, or I won’t let you off”

Now that things had come to a point of no return, Arvin narrowed his eyes and swiftly snatched the phone from Queena’s grasp, snarling into the phone, “Queena is with me now What more can you do to me?”

“Arvin, Queena has looked up to you since she was a child. She always saw you as a big brother, Why are you doing this to her?” Vincent exclaimed. Arvin chuckled indifferently at Vincent’s words. “I didn’t mean to harm her, but her safety is in your hands now. I want jonathan to bring Yolanda to me by tomorrow. If he’s even an hour late, your sister will bear a scar on her face just like mine. Keep this between us, or else.. you know what I mean” With that. Arvin abruptly ended the call.

Frustrated. Vincent screamed into the phone before angrily hurling it across the room. The force of his actions aggravated his injuries, sending a sharp pain through his chest. Mila nished over, visibly concerned. “Are you okay?” she asked, her voice filled with worry.

“I’m fine, Vincent replied, sinking into the couch and taking deep breaths as he waited for the pain to subside.

Mila had overheard the conversation. She suggested, “Perhaps we should reach out to Cynthia and the others for help. She then recounted Queena’s disappearance and how Cynthia and the rest were actively searching for her. Vincent rubbed his temples thoughtfully, recognizing the difficulty of handling the situation alone while being abroad. He realized they would need to work together to find a solution.

Although Arvin had insisted they must not tell anyone, Vincent didn’t trust him, thinking that even if he followed Arvin’s demands, there was no guarantee Queena would remain safe. Seeking help from Cynthia and the others would increase their chances of success. Vincent glanced at his shattered phone and turned to Mila “Give me your phone,” he requested urgently. Vincent first explained the situation to Liam and Cynthia. Then, using Mila’s phone, he called Jonathan

It was eleven o’clock in the morning in Clusia Jonathan stood solemnly by his grandfather’s tombstone, near the house where Yolanda was confined.

Inside the house off–key singing echoed intermittently. Suddenly, the singing stopped, replaced by frantic banging on the wooden door. A woman’s panicked voice cried out, “Ghost, ghost! Stay away

from me!” Then, her tone shifted to defiance. “Even if you come near, I’m not afraid of you. I have divine powers too. The singing then resumed

Annoyed by the noise, Jonathan snapped, ‘Any more noise, and you can forget about eating today. Instantly, silence ensued in the house as Jonathan returned to his vigil beside his grandfather’s tombstone.

Since his grandfather’s passing, Jonathan had made a habit of visiting his gravesite daily. Sometimes he stood in silent contemplation, while other times he muttered to himself. Initially, Yolanda would desperately pry at the door, begging him to release her whenever he showed up. Her voice never failed to remind Jonathan of his grandfather’s death, stirring memories and grief. In response, Jonathon would punish her by withholding food for two days. After this happened repeatedly, Yolanda eventually stopped crying. Over time, she began exhibiting erratic behavior, prompting Jonathan to question whether she was genuinely losing her mind or feigning madness. Regardless, he was determined to keep her confined for the rest of her life

Lost in thought, Jonathan was abruptly pulled back to reality by the ringing of his phone. He glanced at the unfamiliar caller ID, furrowing his brow slightly before answering. Vincent’s voice came through “What’s the matter?” Jonathan asked indifferently,

“Jonathan, Queena has been kidnapped by Arvin. He’s demanding Yolanda in exchange,” Vincent said, cutting straight to the point.

Jonathan was puzzled. “Aren’t you all in Fruycia?”

“I don’t know how he got here, but if he doesn’t see Yolanda tomorrow, Queena will be in serious danger, Vincent explained urgently.

“We should’ve dealt with this scourge from the beginning, Jonathan said through gritted teeth. His gaze shifted toward the nearby cabin where Yolanda sat by the window, her eyes varant and hair disheveled. Despite his initial intentions to continue tormenting Yolanda, Queena had been like family to him, and her safety mattered most.

“Okay, wait for me,” Jonathan said, hanging up after Vincent thanked him on the other end of the line. He then walked toward the window.

Smirking coldly at the woman inside, he said. “Even in your current state, someone still cares about you. I wonder how Arvin will react when he sees you like this, all crazy and erratic.

Jonathan then instructed his men to tie up Yolanda and place her in a sack. She hadn’t taken any baths since she was confined in the cabin, and her body odor had become unbearable.

They quickly boarded a private plane. Due to the significant time difference between Chris and Fruycia, they needed to depart immediately to arrive at the time specified by Arvin.

Trapped inside the sack, Yolanda kept her eyes slightly open, listening intently to the noises outside. As the plane began to take off, excitement shimmered in her eyes, erasing any trace of her earlier erratic behavior. She had endured daily torture from that cruel man, eating food worse than dog food, spending nights in the cold, windswept cabin, and fearing the ghost of Jonathan’s grandfather might haunt her. All these experiences had left her nerves frayed. She had hoped pretending to be mad would make Jonathan let her go, but she hadn’t anticipated his sadistic nature.

Yolanda felt abandoned by her own family. Despite knowing her dire situation, they had chosen to turn a blind eye, swayed by the lure of money. She had already deduced through that phone call who was behind this rescue attempt. Honestly, she was deeply touched. It was only now that she

realized who genuinely cared for her.
