A Spoonful of Sugar: Don’t Beg for Love

Chapter 568

Chapter 568

Hesper started to regret agreeing to work there, but there was no time for regrets. Furthermore, what

was more important was that Hesper knew everyone who used to work alongside her needed their

jobs.

Rachael could toy with the company and leave it because, to the Lanes, it was a loss that they could

recover from. However, to the employees, they might lose the job they needed to feed their families.

"Get all the reports for this season and send them to me in half a day." Hesper turned and got into the

private elevator. "Tell all the departments that we'll have a meeting in half an hour."

"Yes, ma'am." Isaac was excited, he replied loudly, like a school kid answering a question he knew the

answer to. Hesper shook her head, then closed her eyes to rest.

The report was soon sent to her. She knew that this was made ready beforehand. Based on her old

habits, Isaac had known she was going to ask for it.

"You know I'm not very good at this. I had to ask the secretary a few times before getting this." Isaac

scratched his head timidly but Hesper knew how difficult it was to him.

Isaac was just someone sent to protect her, but he had to start taking other roles because they were

low on manpower. He went from being unfamiliar at first to being a professional now, and that was all

because of his hard work.

"Alright, did you arrange for the meeting?"

Isaac nodded. "Everyone said they're happy to see you back!"

Hesper's mouth curved into a smile. She already knew that because their group chat originally named

'tear down the capitalist' had changed to 'Welcome back, Ms. Lane'.

Hesper wouldn't usually waste time on unimportant things, but the trust and sincerity of the employees

cemented her decision to return.

It was a busy morning. Hesper hadn't worked in such a high-paced environment in a long time, but it

felt fulfilling. It distracted her from her other problems.

Isaac was right. Rachael squandered the foundation. Hesper never thought that she would do this to

the company.

Hesper was amicable with Rachael at first because she did save her in Salt City. If it weren't for that,

she would have died at the hands of 013.

However, Rachel wasn't a reliable person. Maybe it was jealousy. She was resentful that Hesper took

her place and the love she should have received as a Lane.

There was no point in bringing up the past. Hesper collected the information she needed to meet the

next clients. From Isaac's description, it wasn't that the clients wanted to cancel their agreement

because they didn't want to work with Lane Holdings but that they didn't trust Rachael.

That meant she had a chance to turn things around.

However, when Hesper saw the Paradise Project that was at the bottom of the pile, she couldn't

remember when she approved of it, and it didn't seem like Rachael signed it either.

The location was great, and she could tell that it was a good project that had to go through a few

negotiations. Even though Hesper didn't want to look down on Rachael, from her performance… she

didn't seem like someone who could close the deal.

What was more suspicious was that a great project like this was at the bottom of the pile. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

She called the direct line. Isaac walked in.
