A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 453 Got the University Offer

Chapter 453 Got the University Offer

During the time she was living in the villa with Linda Xia, Emily Wang had changed a lot. She gradually

became more lively and more confident, as opposed to how timid and insecure she was before.

Perhaps, family circumstances were indeed influential on the development of one's personality. Emily

Wang's insecurity was partly a consequence of her time spent growing up with her uncle and aunt who

didn't care about her.

Emily Wang's uncle and aunt were unkind to her when she lived with them.

They treated her as a burden that they couldn't get rid of.

On the contrary, Linda Xia regarded her as a good friend during the time Emily was living with her.

"Tomorrow, I will make you a soup with some spareribs! Spareribs contain numerous calcium

phosphates, bone collagens, and proteins, which are good for your health, " said Emily Wang.

Linda Xia was amused. She didn't know that those nutrients existed in spareribs. All she knew was that

spareribs soup was a delectable dish, especially when the meat was fresh and tender. Linda Xia was

delighted at the thought of having some spareribs soup tomorrow.

"Emily, why haven't you received any university offers, yet? It's been quite a long time, " asked Linda

Xia while having the fungus soup that Anna Xu had made.

"I have no idea, " said Emily Wang, "but it should arrive today."

Just as Emily Wang finished her words, a servant came in and reported to Linda Xia, "My Lady, we

have just received an express delivery mail with Emily Wang's name on it." It was Emily Wang's

university offer. Speak of the devil!

Linda Xia knew that Emily Wang didn't want to go back home with her uncle and aunt, even just to

fetch the mail, so she told her to write down the address of the Mu's villa, instead of her uncle's place,

when filling in the address where her offers would be sent to. She could continue staying at the villa,

while waiting for her offer, and then she could go straight to college in September; thus, she wouldn't

have to go back to that despicable place she once called home.

They opened the envelop, and inside of which was what they had expected: an offer from the best

medical university in SH City.

"Emily, are you really going to study medicine?" Linda Xia was amazed when she saw the offer.

"Yes, I am. I think it would be great to become a doctor, helping people in need. Like what Ms. Anna is

doing, " Emily Wang answered earnestly. Because of the heat, she had her bangs fixed up and pinned

away from her face. With a loose bun on top of her head, she looked pure and lovely, totally different

from the Emily Wang that Linda Xia had met before.

Before she moved into the Mu's villa, Emily Wang always had her head lowered. With her long, black

hair down and her fringe covering her eyes, she seemed dull and depressed. But now, she looked

lovely and adorable. This proved how important the role of one's environment played in a their life.

"Studying medicine is going to be a challenge. You would need at least five years to finish your

undergraduate courses, and during that time, you would be exposed to all kinds of fresh human organs

and other disgusting things. Aren't you afraid of that?" asked Anna Xu, trying to frighten Emily Wang.

"No, I'm not afraid. I have already made up my mind to become a doctor, " Emily Wang said with a grin.

She was determined to strive for her dream.

Since Emily Wang had clearly made her decision, Linda Xia nodded to support her.

"Ms. Xia, I've been living with you for quite some time now. Does that bother Young Master Mu?" asked

Emily Wang. She had been staying in the Mu's villa for two months. She was worried that Charles Mu

was unhappy about her interrupting his life with Linda Xia, although he was barely home. Charles Mu

spent almost all of his time at the Mu's company during the day, and he only would come back at night.

Also, Emily Wang found that Young Master Mu was always busy even when he was home. Other than

suppertime, when he would chat with Linda Xia for a bit, he was fully occupied.

Moreover, Charles Mu hadn't talked to her again ever since he greeted her the first day she came here.

Therefore, Emily Wang felt that maybe she was not welcome, and the reason why Young Master Mu

hardly came home was because he disliked her.

"What? How could that be? You are overthinking it!"

Linda Xia said after listening to Emily Wang's worried query. Charles Mu had indeed been very busy

these days. There were several big projects that needed to be personally handled by him. He also

needed to focus on his entertainment company to ensure its stable development. Plus, there would be

a few new projects in the near future.

In reality, Charles Mu was just trying to finish all of his work as soon as possible so that he could

accompany Linda Xia during her last months of pregnancy and when their babies would be born. He

would like to take care of her and of them when the time would come.

"But, Young Master Mu has never talked to me after the day I moved in. And he always wears that grim

expression on his face, so I was thinking maybe he doesn't want me to live here…" Emily Wang said

with hesitation. How Charles Mu felt about her existence was very important to her, for she didn't want

to cause any trouble to him. She would rather move out than be a burden to someone else again.

More importantly, she didn't want to cause any distress to Linda Xia by intruding in their personal life.

Anna Xu laughed as Emily Wang spoke. "Emily, " said Anna Xu, "you are indeed overthinking. That's

how the Young Master is. He treats everyone that way. He never even spares a glimpse to other people

because all he see is Lady Linda. You should be worried if he treats you differently."

"Exactly, Anna is right. I will get mad if Charles 'likes' you, " said Linda Xia jokingly.

"No, I didn't mean that, " Emily Wang explained anxiously, "I was just worried about interrupting your

life. Don't tease me like that, please." Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Emily Wang was the youngest among them all; she was barely 18 years old. She was even younger

than Lily Jiang who would soon graduate from college.

Linda Xia knew that Emily Wang had had a difficult life for the first eighteen years of her life, but she

hoped that Emily could put the past behind and find her own happiness from now on. Linda Xia

believed that Emily Wang was a nice girl and that she would make significant contributions to the

society in the future.
