Need Each Other
In Lily’s life, numerous changes have occurred, including the revelation of her real identity.
“What’s on your mind?” Drew asked, hugging her from behind.
She was gazing out the window at their yard, contemplating some changes she wanted to make. Drew’s arms tightened around her waist, and he kissed her shoulder.
“Many things… Mr. Arvesso is the main thing on my mind. After learning that I wasn’t the Martins’ real daughter, I never imagined that he would suddenly appear to be my biological father. Also, I’m unsure of how to approach Orion and Danica. Will it affect their perception of me if they learn I’m their dad’s other daughter?
“And then, I’m not even sure how my mother and Mr. Arvesso’s relationship began. I was eight years younger than Orion, and their relationship might have had an impact on him. So, yeah, those are the people I’ve been thinking about just now.”
“I know that Orion’s mother passed away before he turned eight. So, if you’re wondering if your mother was Uncle Niel’s mistress, she wasn’t. Danica’s mother is a different woman from Orion’s.”
“Hmm… I see.” Lily noted the distinction in their appearances.
Danica resembled an anime doll-small, adorable, and sweet-while Orion was tall, broad, and muscular, enough to fit into a live-action Avengers film.
“When Orion’s mother passed away, I was five. By my estimation, Uncle Niel’s relationship with your mother began after the death of his mother. When he returned to Europe, he got Danica’s mother pregnant with twins.”
Lily had heard about it. Tragically, one of Danica’s twins passed away during high school. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Drew carried her, her legs wrapped around his body, while her arms naturally secured around his neck. She could feel his firmness as she held on.
“Aren’t you happy to know they’re your siblings?” Drew asked again, his breath warming her neck.
“I’m more than happy… I’m just a little worried. Even though our situation is confusing, I don’t want to jeopardize my relationship with them. What if they’re not happy I exist? Explaining this truth to them is quite challenging. Should I let Mr. Arvesso tell them, or is it my right to speak?”
Drew gently caressed her cheek as he led her somewhere. “Orion will undoubtedly be pleased to discover that you are his sister. However, I’m not sure how he will react to your issues with Kenneth once he learns you’re a close relative. Orion tends to be guarded around his family. That’s why he’s the best bodyguard I rehired to watch over you.”
“If his family is wealthy, why did he decide to become a bodyguard?”
Lily was well aware of the extensive properties owned by the Arvessos around the world. Mr. Niel Arvesso was a multimillionaire realtor.
“He was once part of the National Investigations; most likely, it was his dream job. But something tragic involving his siblings and the boss’s son changed things. It became politicized and unpleasant. It might have made him realize that his job wasn’t what he thought it was. After that, I needed a bodyguard because my life was in danger, and that’s when our boss-bodyguard relationship began.”
She suddenly became concerned and didn’t think Drew was calmer than Orion.
“Regarding Danica, I’m not sure… Like I said, I don’t know her very well. How about you? Are you happy to know they are your family?”
Lily gently parted Drew’s hair, revealing his forehead. “Because of the safety I’ve always felt with Orion – something I never experienced in my own family – I’ve always thought of him as a brother. The same goes for Danica. She’s like the little sister who always comforted me, so I’m happy to know that our relationship is deeper than that. But I’m more than happy to have you in my heart, Drew.”
“Great answer!”
“I love you.”
Drew responded with a deep kiss. Lily felt herself leaning back against the mattress of the bed, and Drew savored the moment. He quickly removed her top, then flipped her over, kissing her on the back and shoulders with delicate, featherlike kisses. He traced the scars on her back with the tip of his index finger.
“How do you feel about my scars?” Lily questioned anxiously. He might consider how filthy she was right now.
“I’m uncomfortable seeing those scars because you don’t belong to anyone, Lily. Not even to me.” His finger trembled against her skin. “Kenneth needs help. Would you like me to find the best surgeon to remove these scars?”
She thought that if Drew was uncomfortable with her scars, maybe it was time to consider their removal.
“Sure!”
“I promise you, no part of your body will ever bear a scar from me,” he assured as his hand sensually moved down Lily’s back.
She soon felt his length sliding between her thighs. After taking a deep breath, she looked back at him with anticipation. He kissed her lips and then slowly began to thrust from behind.
“Lily, I will never tire of giving you all of me…” He closed his eyes. The tickling orgasms accompanied Drew’s chest.
Lily remained silent, her gaze locked onto her husband, trying to perceive the emotions he was going through, wanting to share in his feelings.
After a few tender thrusts, he gently maneuvered her onto the bed, intending to kiss her passionately and take their intimacy to new heights. It was a while before they returned to their starting point. Gradually, he caught his breath and rested his head on her soft chest, listening to her soothing heartbeat.
Drew’s body exuded a profound sorrow, which Lily keenly sensed. They had discussed her situation many times, but he was still grappling with the reality of his mother’s actions.
Her husband displayed an extraordinary sensitivity to her needs, treating her with the utmost care, as if she were a fragile crystal. He continued to watch over her, even in the midst of his own grief.
A sad smile graced her lips as she empathized with his pain. “You’re an incredible husband, Drew. With the way you prioritize me, I have no doubt you’ll make an exceptional parent too. We’ll be there for each other, sharing our dreams and love, until the end of our days.”
He gazed into her eyes and whispered, “I love you deeply, Lily,” his voice breaking as tears welled up in his eyes.
