Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Once the gathering was downstairs, Donna approached alpha Zachary who greeted her with a regal air. In his hands, he held an opulent doll, an extravagant gift for her.

“I offer my apologies, Donna,” Zachary spoke with a tone that oozed power. “I only recently became aware of the circumstances and regret not visiting earlier. Here, this is for you.”

Donna stared at the doll, momentarily taken aback. The plush figure seemed to radiate luxury and brought a temporary pause to her thoughts.

“What troubles you? Do you not fancy it? I recall you mentioning your fondness for such things, so I went to great lengths to have one sent here from distant lands,” Zachary questioned, his voice permeating with authority.

Donna shifted her gaze, her mind searching for the right words. “It’s not that. I adore it. It’s just… I already possess one. My father gifted it to me.”

A flicker of tension crossed Zachary’s face as the mention of Alpha Kilian entered the conversation. His once warm demeanor turned slightly colder.

“I deeply apologize, Alpha Zach,” Donna interjected with sincerity.

Zachary quickly regained his composure, forcefully molding his lips into a smile. “No need for apologies. I was simply unaware. Pray tell, what other interests do you harbor? I shall procure them for you.”

“There’s no need for such extravagances, Alpha Zach. Your intentions alone suffice, and I am grateful for receiving them,” replied Donna politely.

As Zachary observed Donna, he felt a subtle distance emerging between them. She was no longer the carefree child who cherished his company.

Contained within his own thoughts, Zachary mumbled, barely audible, “Donna, we are growing apart as well…” Donna met his gaze, uncertainty clouding her expression.

Tony stepped forward. “Alpha Zach, is your visit solely intended for Donna?”

Zachary shifted his attention to Tony, captivated by the striking resemblance between the young boy and Alpha Kilian. Their uncanny likeness extended beyond physical features to their expressions and mannerisms.

Affirming his purpose, Zachary nodded. “Indeed. Is there a reason for concern?”

Tony smiled innocently. “Oh, not at all. It’s just that I’ve noticed you and Lara crossing paths on multiple occasions. I became curious and thought I’d inquire.”

Zachary’s eyes narrowed, suspicions rising within him. Was he overanalyzing or was there something more to Tony’s words?

“When and where did you witness our encounters?” Zachary inquired, his voice laced with caution.

“I happened to be passing by the entrance of a tavern, seated within a passing cab,” Tony responded with a harmless smile. “Alpha Zach, I must caution you. Lara, she’s quite cruel. It would be wise not to grow too close to her. In the end, you may find yourself wounded.”

Zachary maintained his gaze on Tony, his suspicions intensifying. “Our encounters were mere coincidence, and there is no chance she can harm me,” Zachary countered firmly.

Tony nodded, his grin seemingly innocent. “Of course, I understand. Very well.”

Zachary couldn’t tear his eyes away from Tony. A peculiar sensation gnawed at him as if the boy possessed knowledge beyond his years.

Just then, a car pulled up alongside them. Nelly and Alpha Kilian emerged from the vehicle, capturing Tony’s attention. With a gleam in his eyes, Tony greeted, “Daddy, Nelly, you’ve returned!”

The mere mention of “Daddy” stunned Alpha Kilian and Nelly, who looked at their son puzzled and bewildered.

In the midst of his disbelief, Alpha Kilian saw Tony darting towards them with a smile. A silent message passed through his eyes, directing them to glance to the side.

With quick comprehension, Alpha Kilian focused his attention on Zachary, a knowing smirk playing upon his lips. “Well, well, Alpha Lucas. What a fortuitous encounter we have here.”

Zachary glared at Alpha Kilian, his teeth grinding. “This is no coincidence. I journeyed specifically to see Donna.”

Alpha Kilian chuckled, his taunting tone obvious. Observing the doll Zachary held, he mocked, “Ah, it seems you know my daughter quite intimately. You even choose the toys she favors.”

Zachary’s gaze shifted between the gift and Alpha Kilian. “I have a better understanding than you may think.”

Unfazed by Zachary’s words, Alpha Kilian turned to address Donna. “Why did you reject the gift? Do not let his efforts go to waste.”

“But, Daddy, didn’t you already gift me one?” Donna blinked, using her eyes to signal Alpha Kilian.

Alpha Kilian feigned ignorance. “When did this transpire? I am unaware of such a gift. Perhaps it was a figment of your imagination.”

Donna stood speechless, trapped by her own web of lies.

Must he expose me with such precision?

“Donna, while I understand your hesitations, there are times when accepting gifts is necessary. We must not shatter the hearts of those who offer them,” Alpha Kilian lectured, attempting to enlighten his daughter.

Tentatively, Donna responded, “Of course, Daddy.”
