Alpha Kilian’s golden eyes narrowed as he glanced at the wine bottle. “How much have you had to drink?” he asked, his voice low and commanding. Nelly, a young werewolf with a mischievous smile, replied, “Not a lot. Just one bottle. I also drank with Thalia for a while.”
His heart raced as he noticed her flushed cheeks and bright eyes. “Do you still want to drink more?” he asked, his voice tinged with anticipation.
Nelly pondered for a moment before nodding eagerly. “Sure!”
“Come on. I’ll take you somewhere special,” he said, pulling her along as they walked away. She didn’t question him, trusting him to lead the way.
Ten minutes later, they stopped in front of a massive wine cellar, filled with rows and rows of different wines. Nelly scanned the luxurious room, amazed by its grandeur.
She randomly picked up an expensive-looking bottle and admired it, realizing that this place was a haven for wine enthusiasts. Just then, Alpha Kilian presented a bottle of red wine to her. “How about drinking this?” he suggested.
Nelly nodded, her excitement building. Alpha Kilian expertly opened the wine and poured it into two wine glasses. As he did, she couldn’t help but ask, “Didn’t you say you’ve never been here before?”
He turned to her, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. “What I meant was, I haven’t been here since the two elders bought this place.”
Curious, Nelly watched him intently as he poured the wine. “Oh? So, you’ve been here before?”
He nodded, pouring her a glass of wine. “The person who built this manor was a friend of mine. I’ve visited before.”
Nelly sipped the wine, savoring its taste. She nodded in approval, enjoying the rich flavors. Alpha Kilian poured her some more, encouraging her to take another sip. However, this time, she furrowed her brows slightly.
Confused, he asked, “What’s wrong?”
Nelly looked at him and said, “It tastes slightly different from before…”
Alpha Kilian smiled, pleased with her observation. “That’s the beauty of this wine. It changes subtly with each sip, revealing new layers of flavor.”
She was amazed. “This is my first time drinking such a special wine.”
Alpha Kilian explained the story behind the wine. It was called Estee, made by a man who wanted to express his love for a woman. There were only a hundred bottles of it in the world, making it priceless.
Nelly exclaimed, “It must have cost a fortune!”
He nodded, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. “Indeed, it did.”
Curious, she asked what happened to the man and the woman he loved. Alpha Kilian chuckled and shared that the man had initially been heartbroken because the woman already had a boyfriend. However, the wine he made caught the attention of a businessman, and the man became a successful wine merchant. Eventually, he crossed paths with the woman again, who was now single, and they ended up together.
Nelly couldn’t help but smile at the happy ending. Alpha Kilian looked at her with affection, and she turned the conversation back to him. “Aren’t you drinking?”
He shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I’ve had enough for today. I fear I might do something impulsive if I drink more.”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Nelly’s mind wandered to a recent night they shared, their encounter still fresh in her memory. She felt a rush of emotions and walked around the cellar, distracting herself with the bottles. Curiosity got the better of her, and she turned to him. “Alpha Kilian…”
He approached her slowly, his presence overwhelming. “Yes?”
“That story you told earlier… It wasn’t just a made-up tale, was it?” she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
Alpha Kilian stared into her eyes, his gaze intense. “What makes you say that?”
Nelly hesitated before speaking her mind. “I just have this feeling.”
A small smile tugged at his lips as he closed the distance between them. “And what does your feeling say about why I told you that story?”
Nelly struggled to catch her breath, his proximity affecting her. “So, you admit it was a made-up story?”
He nodded, his voice dropping lower. “Yes. But the real question is… why do you think I told you that story?”
Caught off guard, Nelly searched his eyes for answers. “I… I don’t know.”
Alpha Kilian’s voice was filled with longing as he confessed, “Because I wanted you to know that sometimes, happy endings can come true. Even in the most unexpected ways.”
