EPISODE 13 Coincidence of Fate?
MOON STONE PACK
NEXT DAY
Meagan sat on the bed reading a book online. She has been up since 6:30 a. m and hasn’t been able to sleep back. She assumed that her body was now accustomed to being fully awake around this time. If Meagan wasn’t on leave she would be at work by this time attending to patients. She had dialed Hazel’s number earlier to remind her about the visit to the pool which was Meagan’s favorite place in the pack. But Hazel didn’t pick up her call. She was still asleep, tired from last night halloween party. All the more reason why Meagan settled to read a book.
At 10:00 a. m Meagan’s phone beeped a message from Brianna.
“Hi best friend, it’s Hazel but I am texting with Brianna’s phone because my phone is down. Please make it down to Julius home for breakfast.”
Meagan sighed after reading the message. She hopped out of bed to change into a jean and big polo. She grabbed her phone dropped it into a small bag that she crossed over her chest and she headed out of the room. Meagan greeted some ladies in the hallway as she made her way to the beta’s home.
Fifteen minutes later, Meagan realized that she has been walking in circles. She couldn’t find her way to the beta’s home.
“How did I end up walking the same area over and over again?” Meagan mumbled to herself as her eyes scanned the area. She was standing in front of a small house with no wolf or human lurking around. It was just her.
Meagan had missed her way right from when she walked into an alley, crossing to a large where several wolves were training.
“Am I beginning to forget things so easily?” She grumbled.
Meagan thought the training ground would lead her to the beta’s home so she didn’t bother asking any of the wolves for direction.
“All the houses here look so alike.” Meagan stamped her feet deciding to trace back her steps by asking for directions from whoever was in the house.
She had visited several places with Hazel since she got to the pack. And there are still more places she haven’t checked out. Meagan had tried Brianna’s number but it was switched off and same goes with Julius and Hazel. Power has been out in the whole pack since dawn.
She wondered why this house was the only house in this area. She knocked once but got response.
“Maybe no one is home.” She sighed in frustration after knocking the second time. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
“I should go back to the training ground.” She turned away to leave but the door opened.
Meagan stopped on track and turned to look at whoever was at the door and her eyes widened in surprise. Just when she though she would never see him again, but he was right here staring into her eyes. “Should I run? Should I pretend like I don’t know him?” Meagan thought.
And she picked the latter choice. She would pretend to not know him. “But what about my voice?” She pondered.
“Allison? We met last night right? I am sure of it, you are the fortune teller!” Carl said surprised to see her around here but also excited.
“Hi,” Meagan greeted.
She concluded that doing any of those options won’t help her out. He recognized her despite the fact that she was on mask last night. Slowly she started back towards him.
“It’s good to see you again.” Carl smiled, almost making her heart race again.
“Do you live here?” Meagan asked.
“Oh yes.. I stay here as a native of moon stone pack.” Carl didn’t want to tell her about his position at the pack because he felt like it might scare her away.
“Would you like to come in?” Carl asked.
Meagan arched her eyebrows, her mind telling her to decline the offer and she should leave immediately. But another look at this man she had only met last night, looking so hot and sexy in the denim jeans and body hug too with his hair still a bit wet as if he just stepped out of shower made it hard to decline the offer. Meagan had two choices, come up with an excuse and leave or go into his house and continue the fantasy story that was playing out in her head.
Carl waited for her response as she got lost in thought. He took that chance to study her closely. He didn’t get to admire her features last night but now was the right time to do so. He wondered how she ended up right in front of his home.
Meagan has a sculpted figure and thin waist and a dazzling complexion. Her long Kohl black hair flowed over her shoulder down to her back. A pair of arched eyebrows, long eyelashes and a delicate brown eyes stared back at him. She was beautiful.
“Allison? Would you like to come in for a conversation?” Carl repeated snapping her out of thought.
“I don’t mind.” Meagan smiled exposing her white angel like teeth.
She accepted the offer! “What are you doing, Meagan?” She asked herself.
She was going into the house of the man that just his smile had made her heart raced and her kneels grew weak at the thought of being close to him. And before Meagan went to bed last night, she had pictured his gleaming eyes and smile. It seemed like he was compelling her to go against her rules.
“Please come in.” Carl opened the door wide for her to step into his mini flat.
He had built this small apartment two years ago. A place he called his resting abode. Carl comes here anytime he is a bit free from dealing with pack affairs. He wasn’t there now because he needed rest but because the pack mansion was full with his distant relatives who came around to witness the moon celebration and also the beta’s wedding.
Meagan’s eyes surveyed the sitting room. It was a luxury. The green couch, the large plasma television, art works that she recognized to worth thousands of dollars and other things that are called ancient artifacts.
“Nice apartment.” Meagan commented.
“Thank you.” Carl replied. “Please take a seat.” He gestured to her to sit down on one of the couches and she did.
“It’s really nice to have you around. How did you stumbled into this area because you look lost earlier?” Carl asked.
“I needed to find my friend to have breakfast but I lost my way.” Meagan answered silently praying that he doesn’t ask anymore questions but he did.
“May I know your friend’s name? I mean.. I can help you find her house after a conversation.” Carl pressed the remote to put on the television.
Meagan didn’t see any reason to hide her friend from him anymore since she looked like a lost puppy.
“She is the bride so I am supposed to meet her at the beta’s home.” Meagan answered.
Carl looked at her. “Alright.”
