Every American citizen has a favorite restaurant that he or she loves to visit to have either breakfast, lunch or dinner. And same goes with favorite meals and desserts. The best restaurant to go in New York to have Italian food is Blue Hill Restaurant. They are the best in making all kind of Italian cuisine.
Meagan loves Italian food, the main reason why Jones picked the place this time. Blue Hill Restaurant is one of the most elegant place to eat and the most beautiful in town. Meagan has been here a lot of times but Jones has been here one time when his mom had set him up on a blind date with a business tycoon daughter. The restaurant somewhat reminded Meagan of the past. If it wasn’t for her love for Italian food she would have stopped coming to Blue Hill Restaurant.
A guard at the door welcomed Meagan and Jones and they walked in to find their reserved table in the restaurant. Meagan felt relaxed as she breathe in the smell of Italian food and her stomach grumbled reminding her of how hungry she was at the moment.
A waitress walked up to them. “Good evening and welcome to Blue Hill Restaurant. Please what would you like to have?” She asked with a warm and comforting smile on her face.
The waitress was so natural and her words flowed smoothly from her mouth. Blue Hill Restaurant have trained their workers to be gentle and kind and polite to their customers.
“I’ll have the new recipe everyone has been talking about and a bottle of wine.” Jones replied.
“What about you, ma’am?” The waitress asked.
“I’ll try the same.. spaghetti Alla carbonara-lazio.” Meagan tried to pronounce it but she didn’t get it right.
The waitress corrected Meagan causing her to giggle a little. “I’ll be right back with your order.” The waitress walked out.
“I should check out this new recipe on their site.” Meagan took out her cellphone, switched on the data and clicked on Google. She type in the Italian cuisine on Blue Hill Restaurant site.
“Found it?” Jones asked as he studied her.
Meagan nodded. “Carbonara is a typical dish from Lazio. It is a pasta dish made with spaghetti, carbonara sauce, rigatoni, bucatini combined with egg and cheese.” She read it to him.
“Sounds like a crazy meal.” Jones chuckled.
Meagan showed him the image of the food on the site. “From the review section, they said the taste is crazy and the secret of the meal is the creamy sauce that covers it.” She swallowed hard as she looked at the image on her cellphone again.
About five minutes later, the waitress brought the food and a small plate of salad was added.
“Is the salad part of the meal?” Meagan asked with a furrowed eyebrows.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“It’s like a complimentary gift for getting this particular meal.” The waitress replied.
“Alright. This looks really nice.” Jones commented.
“Please enjoy your meal.” The waitress smiled and turned away to leave.
Meagan took part of the crispy green salad that was lightly coated with cream and she mixed it with the pasta dish. Meagan scooped it into her mouth, the mixture gave her a unique taste as she experienced the intense combination of flavors.
“Wow! This is delicious!” She urged Jones to mix his meal the same way she did but he mentioned that he doesn’t eat salad.
“Really? I didn’t know.” Meagan wiped her mouth with a serviette.
Jones tasted the cream sauce on the meal. “This ss indeed crazy. I agree.” He commented on the food.
Meagan and Jones ate while they discussed random things about work, food, and weather forecast.
“Excuse me.” A masculine voice said. Meagan looked up and then she saw him. “Meagan, long time.” Max smiled.
Meagan couldn’t utter a word. She didn’t expect to see him.
“Is he the new guy you are seeing? Wow! Finally, you have gotten a chance to let go of your feelings for me.” Max tucked his hands into his pocket. He had two of his friends behind him.
Jones already knew this man was Meagan’s ex boyfriend just by his words.
“Well.. I am surprised to see you.. how long has it been now? Two.. or three.. years? I can’t even remember. Are you still a regular at this place? Oh I can see it.” Max pointed at their empty plates on the table. He had sighted Meagan when they stepped into the restaurant and decided to come up to her.
Jones got out of the chair and stood face to face with Max. “You should be more polite to her.” He said.
“Jones, just let him be.” Meagan stood up, reached for her bag, removed few notes from it and dropped it on the table.
“Leaving so soon? Come on, Meagan, we haven’t seen each other in a long time. So how about we have a friendly chat?” Max ignored Jones and looked her.
“I don’t have anything to say to you.” Meagan said. He is still an asshole. She said within.
“Why? We still have an unfinished business. Remember I didn’t agree to us breaking up.” Max chuckled.
“You are crazy, Max.” Meagan said.
His eyes did a slow crawl on her. “Your style seems to have changed. You don’t look so nerdy and innocent anymore.” Max laughed at her.
Jones couldn’t control his fury anymore but he tried so hard to not allow his wolf to burst out into the opening and pounce on Max. He decided to teach Max a lesson in a cool way.
“Max.” Jones stretched out his hand towards Max for an handshake.
Max looked back at him. “Are you her new man?” He asked.
“No, I am just a friend. And all thanks to you I can’t go pass that stage with her.” Jones answered. From what he knows this man right her is the only reason why Meagan can’t go into another relationship yet.
“Why? Did she lie to you about me? I didn’t do anything wrong. Well.. I just played a game on her and scored a goal.” Max looked at Meagan with a smirk on his face.
Tears welled up in her eyes but she blinked them back immediately.
“Right, you did well. I am Max.” His hands was still hanging in the air.
“You look like a playboy yourself. So don’t waste your time committing yourself to her.” Max accepted the handshake.
“How about we become good friends for about two minutes?” Jones grinned as he squeezed Max’s hand.
“Wh… what.. what are you trying–” Max voice trailed off as he tried to pull his hand out but Jones hold was too strong on him.
“Nerdy? What’s so wrong about being a Nerd? I heard about the things you did to her and you never apologized for your wrong deeds.” Jones said in a low tone.
Max groaned in pains until his eyes pleaded with Jones to let him go.
Jones growled, warning Max’s entourage to stay back or else he would hurt them. They didn’t dare to move knowing he is a werewolf.
“Can you feel the pain? Your bones will be crushed if I don’t let go anytime soon. But it is not even close to what she went through with you and after you left her.” Max became sweaty, he could feel his bones cracking as Jones squeeze his hand harder.
Meagan just stood there as a tears that had threatened to spill already strayed down her cheek. “You’ll apologize to her!” Jones grimaced as Max fell on his knees.
Meagan was silence. She liked that Max was in pain. How dare he show his face to her again after everything he has done to her? She never prayed to see him ever again.
“Fine! I’ll apologize!” Max groaned.
Everyone attention was now on them as they watched the scene. Jones released Max’s hand. “Go ahead.”
Max let out a shaky breathe. “I.. I.. I am sorry.. Meagan.. for everything.” He apologized.
Jones ordered him to make a promise to never bother Meagan again and Max did as instructed.
Jones went ahead to where Meagan stood and he wiped her tear with his fingertips. “It’s alright. We can go now. He’ll never show his face to you again.”
Max couldn’t lift his hand as he watched Jones leave with Meagan. “I told you not to meet her.” One of his men said.
“Shut the fuck up!” Max shunned him.
His entourage tried to help him up but he groaned in pain as they led him out of the restaurant.
