Alpha’s Regret Pregnant Rejected Luna

Chapter 131

Chapter 131

“Ethan,” Bella called, walking into the study to find him pleasantly surprised to see him home early.

“You’re home early,” she muttered happily. However, her smile faded the moment she saw the item on

the table the small vial and its contents looked familiar. It couldn’t be what she was thinking. She

moved closer to examine it, confirming that it was indeed hers. She bit her lips, looking around

anxiously, wondering how he managed to find it. Resolving to act oblivious until the end, she composed

herself.

“Ethan, what’s that?” she asked, gesturing to the vial as if she didn’t know what it contained and hadn’t

seen it before.

“That?” Ethan questioned, looking away. “It’s a strange little substance, don’t you think?” he asked her

lightly.

“Yes, I wonder what it is,” she answered, her heart pounding loudly. “What’s in the bottle?” she asked,

feigning curiosity.

Ethan spun around in his seat and faced her, his face expressionless. “Strange thing is, I found it

amongst your things, hidden plainly out of sight,” he said, picking it up and examining it. “I should be

asking you, Bella, what is that?” he asked, still not looking at her.

“I don’t know what that is. I wonder who put that there,” she chuckled nervously, convinced she had

hidden it well. How did he find it?

“You don’t know what it is?” Ethan asked, his eyes boring into hers with quiet intensity. He calmly

walked to where she stood, his demeanor calming, but a simmering anger underneath made him look

dangerous.

“No, I don’t. Maybe one of the maids put it there,” she attested.

“Okay,” he nodded, and visibly relieved, she made to turn around and leave. His next words stopped

her in her tracks.

“How long have you known?” he asked suddenly.

“Known what?” she asked, her heart practically in her mouth at that moment. Ethan watched her

intently.

“That Hazel’s kids are mine,” he muttered. Completely caught off guard and momentarily speechless,

Bella didn’t know he had found out. Hesitating for a moment, unsure of how to react, she asked,

“What?” feigning surprise. “What did you say, Ethan? Hazel’s kids, those kids are yours?” she asked,

walking up to him, her tone raised in disbelief. “How, Ethan?” she asked.

Ethan watched her closely, and she was acting like she didn’t know. Could he be making a mistake?

No, it had to be her. She had been sneaking around; no one else would try to hurt those kids.

“You see, I just got a call,” he muttered, walking around her. Bella kept her expression guarded to one

of surprise and hurt.

“A disturbing one,” he said again. “I don’t understand. You haven’t answered my question, Ethan,” she

demanded.

“You’re still keeping the act up?” he asked her with a frown.

“That was you, wasn’t it, Bella? You who sent those people,” he pressed. “What are you talking about?”

Bella whispered, real fear washing all over her. She’d been caught? How? How did Ethan know it was

her? Sebastian wasn’t caught.

Ethan chuckled lightly. “I’ve tolerated you for long, let you play and have fun to your fill. But you crossed

the line, Bella. You hired people to try to hurt my kids!” he drawled. “And with that, you’ve been slowly

poisoning me as well,” he leaned in, towering directly over her. “Ethan!” she yelled, tears almost

springing from her eyes. “That’s not true. What kids? What are you talking about, Ethan?” she denied

strongly.

“You’re still denying it,” he muttered, chuckling in disbelief. Ethan was almost becoming convinced by

her acting. Someone’s weak attempt to hurt Daisy again; he didn’t have proof Bella sent them. He was

merely acting on his hunch and instincts. But she was putting on a very convincing act.

“You really have kids?” she asked, turning to meet his eyes, looking shocked and betrayed. “You’re

unrepentant,” he muttered in slight amusement. “Look, I don’t know what that item is, and I don’t

understand what you’re talking about, Ethan. I really don’t!” she cried out desperately.

“You won’t actually hurt me. Me and your unborn child?” she cried out, frightened. “You’re right, what

was I thinking,” he muttered. Just as she was about to inhale a breath of relief, she felt a stinging,

powerful hit on the side of her face. She stumbled and fell to the ground, looking up immediately, her

eyes wide in disbelief. Ethan had hit her.

“Ethan!” she whispered. She could feel her face swell almost immediately. He stalked closely and

squatted to where she was lying. “What child?” he asked her almost gently. Bella slid back, trying to get

out of his reach. There was a maniacal look in his face and eyes. He looked like he was on the verge of

exploding, his eyes were glowing in a light manner, his beast struggling for release. How was that

possible? She was surprised. “What child are you talking about, Bella? You’re not pregnant,” he

whispered to her ear. She looked at him immediately, her roun d eyes becoming larger from shock.

He moved to the desk, grabbed the test results, and threw it down at her. “That’s yours, isn’t it?” he

asked her. Her lips parted, and she began to stammer.

“Ethan, look, I did it all because I love you. I wanted your time and attention. I was going to tell you the

truth…”

“You’re not fooling anybody, Bella.”

“I should have done this sooner,” he said with a sigh. “Then you brought up that story. I don’t hit

women, Bella; I won’t hit you. But I know some people who would gladly repay the favor and debt for a

long time,” he muttered. “Anna, Grace, come inside,” he summoned them. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Bella became even more frightened at the sight of her maids. “What’s going on?” she whispered.

“If you won’t admit it, they’ll just have to beat it out of you. A high dose of Venomixadone was found in

my blood as well. Coincidence?” he asked, his gaze boring

into her.

Bella felt a strong wave of fear. “Ethan! Ethan! What’s this? I’m being framed. I don’t know what that is!”

She yelled as the three women advanced towards her.

“I didn’t hurt Hazel’s kids; I didn’t even know they were yours, Ethan.”

“Ethan, you’re making a mistake. You’re going to torture me for something I know nothing about?!” she

yelled in disbelief. Ignoring her, Ethan headed out the door in an unbothered manner.

“Alpha, are you sure about this?” Anna whispered.

“Get it out of her lips, even if it takes all night,” Ethan said, walking out.

“Just give it up, Bella,” he told her.

Ethan had been covertly monitoring Bella for days, hoping to catch her in the act. However, despite

bugging her phone, he found no evidence. His plans took a detour

when someone attempted to harm Daisy for the second time, intensifying his

I

suspicions towards Bella. The revelation of her false pregnancy added another layer of confusion.

He stood at the balcony while the screams of Bella rent the air for several hours. She was screaming

for him but he blocked her out completely. A very high dose of Venomixadone was found mixed with his

blood. That substance was rare highly toxic, it all made sense. He laughed painfully, he had been a fool

all this while. It was all clear now. “Some Alpha I am.” He muttered sarcastically.

Axel walked in at that moment. “I need you to have this checked out, what it contains.” He started to

pass the vial to Axel but stopped when he saw the state he was in.Ethan frowned looking over his

friends unhinged and bl oody arm.

“We need to talk, the girl from the previous time, she’s missing.” He said his chest heaving heavily. “I

need to look for her. I shouldn’t have left her alone.” He muttered.

“What are you talking about?” Ethan asked him genuinely confused. Axel sniffed cleaning his eyes. “I

quit.” He stated.

“What?” Ethan yelled in disbelief. “I can’t work, I need to find Jasmine. She can’t be gene.” He wasn’t

going to come to terms with it, there was nk way she killed herself. Everything of hers was still in place.

Her bunny slippers was still by the door, even her regular hoodies she used whenever she stepped out.

There was no way she would vanish like that and without telling him something? Anything? No.

Jasmine wouldn’t. He was sure, so painfully sure

“Now I no longer work for you, where’s your wife Ethan?” He questioned his entire attitude frigid.

“Sir.” Came a timid voice interrupting them on the balcony.

“I may have hit her too hard.” The young maid whispered. “She fainted.”

“Who fainted?” Axel asked

“Bella.” Ethan said in one word.

“I’m not buying it, wake her up. She’s

gonna talk.”

“What are you on about?” Ethan asked trying to understand his agitated state. “Bella must have

something to do with Jasmine, she’s gone, I can’t find her anywhere. I need to ask he something,

maybe she knows her, she could find her? I don’t know Ethan!” He yelled in frustration.

“I have Bella in place right now Axel.” Ethan said calmly.

“Bella’s been lying, she’s not pregnant and she’s probably the one who tried to harm Daisy today.” ”

You’re torturing her?” Axel asked in disbelief. “Are you sure it’s her? You’re not making a mistake?” He

asked “The first mistake was marrying her.” Ethan looked away not responding to the question.

“I had to resolve to this, she wouldn’t talk, whatever leaves her mouth are lies and she’s too smart.

Always with one cover up or another.” Ethan said with a sigh.

“Bella wouldn’t be working alone, she most definitely has help of some kind but who?” He thought out

loud.

“She knows they’re yours?” Axel asked in surprise.

“Probably.” Came Ethan’s short reply.

“What do you know for sure Ethan? This is reckless.” He muttered. He couldn’t imagine him dealing

with someone who happened to be innocent.

“Nothing, I know nothing. But I’ll find out everything. Bit by bit Axel.” He stated. “Everything began with

Bella. Someone tried to hurt Daisy! It’s got to her, Bella!”

“Did you find proof of some kind?” Axel asked

“No.” Ethan replied.

“Her phone, did you check?” He probed.

“I had it bugged, for weeks now, nothing. I found her other phone, there’s nothing in it.” Ethan sighed in

frustration.

“Which of them?” came Grace’s small voice.

“Ma’am Bella had about three phones.” She broke to them.

“Not two? Are you sure?” Ethan asked her.

“Yes.” She affirmed. That had to be it, the second burner phone she had had nothing on

it.

“Find it, turn her study inside out if you have to “he instructed. “Axel, check her office. It just might be

there.”
