Chapter 1499 Lisa's Disappearance
Chapter 1499 Lisa's Disappearance
Ivan never expected Radley to reveal all his secrets in just one night.
The next day, Ivan came up with an excuse to visit Crawford Mansion and pick up Radley. He couldn't
shake the feeling that the Crawfords were looking at him strangely.
Josh stared at Ivan, his mind wandering to thoughts of pink underwear. With a snort, he playfully
slapped Ivan on the shoulder. "You scoundrel!"
Drake, with a serious expression, commented, "I overestimated you." He had thought Ivan was
genuinely cool.
Zachary added, "My sister would never be interested in you!" He had even imagined Hannah throwing
herself into Ivan's arms.
Sheila scrutinized Ivan with crossed arms and asked, "Are you attracted to the queen or the consorts?"
Amused by the unexpected revelation, she thought, Tsk tsk, I never thought this reserved man would
indulge in fantasies of vying for favor. I've even imagined myself as his consort, hehe.
Confused by their comments, Ivan found himself at a loss for words.
Lilly, maintaining her composure, handed Radley back to him. "Take good care of Radley and make
sure he doesn't startle Mrs. Shaw."
He suspected that Radley must have caused some trouble last night. So, he looked at Radley, who
appeared guilty.
"Merry Christmas," Ivan greeted Lilly. "I'm heading home now." Suddenly, he regretted his decision,
questioning why he had left Radley alone at Crawford Mansion yesterday.
Then, she waved at him.
After saying goodbye to the elders of the Crawford family, Ivan left in a hurry. When he was alone, he
squinted at Radley. "What did you do?"
Radley hesitated to admit that it had peeked at Gilbert with the Harem spirit.
At that moment, Ivan considered the possibility that if Radley had done anything to harm the Crawford
family, he would punish him.
Radley, unaware of the seriousness of the situation, never expected that peeking at Gilbert and scaring
Bettany was a big deal. So, it stammered, "No, nothing... Just some trivial matters..."
Ivan stiffened, wondering what else Radley might have said.
Radley quickly exclaimed, "Just some insignificant things. It's true."
Ivan smiled, but there was a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Such as?"
Radley, feeling flustered, glanced around and settled on a minor detail. "Such as..." It hesitated before
saying, "For example, in your previous life as the Emperor, you supposedly liked pink underwear..."
Ivan was shocked by the revelation, thinking that Radley was talking nonsense because he had never
worn pink underwear.
Radley, alarmed by Ivan's reaction, thought, Oh no, Master's reaction. He does care about it. It quickly
corrected itself, "No, I didn't say pink underwear. I remembered it wrongly. I just said my Master likes to
watch palace dramas..."
Ivan was left speechless, wondering when he started liking palace dramas. Suddenly, he remembered
something and shouted, "Radley!" Gritting his teeth, he grabbed Radley's neck and shook him.
Radley, out of breath, had its tongue sticking out.
After sending Radley away, Lilly didn't feel anything unusual. She knew that the Emperor Greenbow
from the previous life and the current Ivan were not the same person, so she didn't entertain any messy
thoughts.
The next day was Christmas Eve, and some of her uncles had already taken leave. However, Anthony
had yet to show up, and there was no information from him in the family group.
"Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, and there's no news about Uncle Anthony," she observed, looking out
the window. For the first time, she felt the anticipation of waiting for someone to come home. Worry and
anxiety crept into her heart. She counted auramancy with her fingers and frowned. "Grandma, I'll go Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
pick up Uncle Anthony."
Bettany set down the bamboo shoots, a local specialty brought back by Lilly. "Did something happen to
your Uncle Anthony?" she asked with concern.
Lilly smiled reassuringly. "It's just a minor issue, nothing to worry about."
Bettany nodded. "Go quickly and come back soon."
Lilly only took the small ghost beast, Speedy, and Polly. After making an excuse to leave in the car, she
teleported to Hallow County.
At that moment, Lisa and Anthony were still in Hallow County. Despite traversing mountains and rivers,
they found themselves back in the same place.
In addition to Crestwave Peak, Hallow County also featured the so-called Kongo Jungle—a wilderness
and jungle. However, it lacked the unique characteristics of Crestwave Peak.
"Lisa..." He lay at the entrance of a cave, holding her hand with his other hand.
"Don't worry about me... you go first!" Lisa uttered with difficulty.
That cave, for some inexplicable reason, resembled a black hole, as if it intended to engulf everything.
Anthony's gaze was unwavering, and he declared, "I won't let go."
In the worst-case scenario, they would have been sucked into the cave. He refused to release her
hand, always sensing that if he did, she would vanish. Moreover, he harbored a premonition that
parting from her would mean being worlds apart.
She gazed at him with depth, her voice tender for the first time. "It's okay, I've always been fine. But we
still have children to take care of. The Crawford family can't afford to lose you."
Feeling the pulling force from behind, she understood that she might pass through it, but Anthony,
confined in his mortal body, could not. If they persisted in their struggle, both would inevitably fall
inside.
Therefore, Lisa took a deep breath and, with a heavy heart, released her hand from Anthony's grip. As
the engulfing force swallowed her, she shouted, "Don't jump down! If you do, we won't end up in the
same place!"
He forcibly repressed the urge to jump and yelled, "Lisa!"
The snowfall was heavy that year, blanketing the surrounding mountains and forests in white.
His heart felt as if it had been brutally torn out, causing him unbearable pain.
Suddenly, the black hole vanished in an instant. The white snow covered everything, taking away the
person he cherished the most.
"Lisa..." Anthony trembled involuntarily, rushing over and began to dig through the snow with his hands.
His frantic digging intensified, leaving his knuckles sore and bloody.
