Chapter 7.2
I wiped the sweat in my forehead and got my spare keys. It's time for me to have a dinner. I planned to boil some water to cooked noodles. E ano 'bang alam ko sa pagluluto? Wala. "hmm..." I opened the cabinet and the food was well organized already.
Wayde must be really a neat person.
The first thing he does is work out, and resting in the garden for awhile. After, he would directly go to the kitchen to cooked.
But the thing is, I don't.
Really? Ngayon pa talaga?
Napabuntong-hininga ako at nanlulumong sinarado iyon. I couldn't even fried fish without someone guiding me, baka ako pa ang dahilan kung bakit abo nalang ang madadatnan ni Wayde sa bahay.
I sat at the bar stool for awhile- contemplating on what dish would I cooked. Besides, there's still a lot of time for me to learn.
The cold breeze is brushing off my hair and I don't even need a fan to obtain some air. I fixed my posture when a bright idea comes to my mind. Right! Gagawa nalang ako ng tinolang isda!
Madali lang naman siguro 'yon. But the thing is, I don't trust my cooking skills. I sucked at that department, but I'll still try to do it.
It's good that the vegetables that I need are already set, and also the fish. After I prepared the ingredients, I immediately searched on how to cook it. I reached out for the knife rack and got some standard knives there.
I grimaced from time to time when the knife slipped on my hand. Buti nalang ay hindi ako nasugatan.
I boiled some water down and put the vegetables there. Should I put a potato there?
Right! I should slice one. I wonder if what would it taste like.
"What are you--" napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng boses.
Wayde's eyes darted to the food that I'm cooking. He's still in his business suit while holding an attached case.
He immediately removed his coat and I can't helped it but to admire his masculine body. His long sleeve polo is flexing his muscles that makes him tremendously sexy. Even the veins in his hands were showing and wearing that rolex watch made him even more attractive.
In my peripheral version, I saw him smirked and rolled up his sleeves upto his elbow.
I smiled awkwardly, "G-ginagawa ko ba ng tama 'to?"
Then his eyes settled on me. What are you cooking, woman?"
Nag-aaalangan akong sumagot at napalunok. I should have not came to this decision! Seryoso ba 'to?
"Tinolang isda?" Now I'm not sure if it's really tinolang isda.
He raised an eyebrow before massaging the bridge of his nose. I bit my lowerlip waiting for him to answer.
It looks like I just got myself into a big trouble big time.
"I'm sorry. I was just trying to cook for dinner.
For the last time, he roamed his eyes on the mess I made before saying something. Inayos nito ang reading glasses nito at inalis ang relo.
"Let me teach you how," lumapit siya sa mga pinaghihiwa kong gulay at sinuri iyon.
"Damn... that's a plain torture right there." He said and chuckled.
"And why would I be mad at you?"
"Sumusunod lang ako sa youtube, but it turns out a mess. Sana pala naghintay nalang ako sa'yo." "Hmm..." he said coolly while listening to my rants.
"I thought it would be okay to put some potatoes in that soup. Yung kamatis naman, it's so soft to cut that I can't even cut it properly. "Well, yeah?" he looked amused.
Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. "Ba't mukhang tuwang-tuwa ka pa?"
"You're hilarious. Instead of being mad at you, bakit hindi nalang kita turuan?" natigilan ako sa sinabi niya. I really thought that he would be mad because I mess his kitchen up.
But it turns out I'm wrong. Wayde's action made me realize a lot of things. It may sound ironic but his simple actions made a big change inside me. His words are like a rope that is tugging the vulnerable state inside to make me wander outside my comfort zone.
Sometimes, I get overwhelmed. But most of the time, I learned.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
