Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 830

Willy's heart ached. He could not give an answer to her questions, because this wasn't part of his original plan. Time had gone by so quickly, and before they knew it, things had come to this; even he couldn't explain how or why.

Thinking about it, he still could not believe his actions and impulses.

But at that moment, if he was asked whether he regretted it, the answer was a 'no'. Not only that, he was very sure of one thing.

He caressed her hair and said softly, "I didn't lie to you! I said that I'll save you! I'd never break my promise!"

It was just that, for the past few days, it was not convenient for him to visit her at any time, and he didn't get to inform her as well. That was indeed wrong of him. In fact, in the dark of the night, he would feel extremely uncomfortable, like he was missing something, or someone.

After a few times of going to the prison, he felt like it had become a habit!

As if he was bewitched, he would feel like dropping in once it was dark. However, that place was no ordinary place. It was not only inappropriate for him to go, but it was a place he couldn't exactly visit anytime he felt like it.

"I'm not talking about that!"

Knitting her eyebrows, Lauren raised her head to look at him. "If you have a fiancee, why did you do this to me? And..."

And why did he get her pregnant? What was she supposed to do now? He had put her in a terrible dilemma!

The little life in her womb... If she kept it, it would be an illegitimate child; if she didn't keep it, she had to return to prison right away. However, it was a living thing, and it had allowed her to gain freedom for a short time! Even if it wasn't harmful to have it removed from her body - how could she bear to remove it after taking advantage of it?

Plus, everything happened so suddenly! She hadn't even thought about being a mother just yet, but she had become a real mother!

If she had known that it would come to this, she would rather not have chosen to come out!

Whether Zedd's betrayal was real or fake, the damage was done. Why would she want to hurt herself just because of a moment of persistence? Although she was furious, she was not stupid!

"Who told you that I have a fiancee?"

As soon as he asked, Willy figured out the answer.

"You don't think that it's Wendy, do you?"

Lauren's long eyelashes fluttered as she was dumbstruck. "Isn't she?" She thought to herself.

She had gone to prison and said so much to her, like she had every right to do so. She couldn't be a fake, could she? Did she barge in the prison and pretend to be his fiancee, just to give her a warning?

Their eyes met. Willy raised his hand and pinched her cheeks. "I don't have a fiancee or a girlfriend! If I had to say that I had one, then you are the only woman I have eyes for!"

Why was she so gullible?

Did she really believe everything Wendy said and thought she was a mistress? Did she think that she was in the wrong, which was why she did not dodge and let herself be beaten?

Wasn't she quite sensitive and fast to react? How could she not even dodge her whip?

Thinking of the scene when he just set foot in the cell, Willy's heart clenched once again. Fear lingered in his gaze.

Although still puzzled, a smile tugged at her lips unconsciously. "Really?"

As her father cheated on her mother and had a mistress, her mother had a car accident. She lost her mother's love at a very young age. However, very soon, her stepmother joined the family. The fickleness and cold-bloodedness of men made her hate their species with an intensity of a thousand

suns.

Therefore, for many years, no matter how well her father treated her, how he doted on and pampered her, she never admitted that she had a father. When she entered college, she moved out and even changed her surname.

She didn't have a father, and she took on her mother's surname instead. She was not a Luther, but a Headey. She was an orphan!

Her whole life, what she hated most was men who toyed with women and mistresses who ruined others' relationships!

The situation had turned upside down, and it happened twice in just a day. For a moment, Lauren was unable to grasp the situation.

Ever since her mother passed away,

she got used to being alone. Although she was the eldest

daughter of the Luther family, with a father who loved her very much and a brother who protected her, nothing could make up for the emptiness and sadness of losing her mother. With her father being busy all the time, her stepmother joining the family too soon, and her brother studying abroad, Lauren had always been lonely.

Although many people revered her and seemed to spoil her, she had always shut herself away. Since she was young, all she had was an empty room and a photo book. The love her father gave her was what she hated; the love her elder brother gave her was only in the form of a long-distance phone call never- ending anticipation, and occasional love.

In fact, she was not cold and unapproachable, she just lacked love. A smile from someone was enough to make her day. However, the habit of self- preservation since childhood had caused her to unwittingly build walls around her. There were very few people who were willing to or were able to break down her walls to understand her.

However, in just a few days, Willy had successfully done it.

In Lauren's small social circle, that man had already become the person closest to her. Therefore, unconsciously, she would show her childlike side, and express her emotions freely.

At that moment, Lauren was deeply pleased with Willy's words. Even if she was just his woman, and their relationship was not official nor did it have any status, at least the explanation had gotten rid of what was bugging her.

"Of course! With only you, my hands are already full. How would I have time to mess with another

woman?"

Willy led her to the bed.

He said with a smile, "Wendy is just the daughter of an uncle who has a good relationship with my family. She has been spoiled since young and is very capricious! She speaks and acts impulsively. She is a little girl who has just become a grownup and hasn't faced the brutality of society. Hence, inevitably, she's as arrogant as they come!"

"She just came back from studying abroad. I have no idea how she found you! Sorry to have troubled you!"

Upon hearing that, Lauren started to understand the situation.

Wendy thought that they were meant to be, but he only saw her as a little sister; or it could be said that, for the time being, she was still a little sister

to him.

Willy's explanation could be considered an apology. Lauren also understood that he was asking her not to pursue the matter any further and put an end to it. In short, she would have to suffer that grievance.

The corners of her mouth curled up slightly. She changed the topic and said, "Did you pay the doctor off to lie? I forgot to tell you I had a checkup before I was sent to prison!"

If the reports were compared, her not being pregnant would immediately be exposed! It would definitely be impossible keeping the fake date a secret then! If that happened, the crime on her hands would be even worse than the one she was accused of committing before!C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
