Blood Everywhere
In the alley.
The thief was cornered and had nowhere to run.
His pursuer was relentless.
His back to the wall, the thief spun around and whipped out a switchblade from his pocket.
Glaring at the man, he snarled, "Back the hell off!"
His pursuer, cool as a cucumber, gave a nonchalant shrug and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "I don't think I want to do that."
'Then get a taste of this!" the thief roared before lunging at the man with his knife.,
His pursuer sidestepped and dodged the attack with ease, donning the same indifferent look as if this was all in a day's work.

The blade of his knife glinted in the sunlight.
His pursuer sneered. 'You asked for it."

The switchblade clattered to the ground.
The thief went down like a sack of potatoes, clutching his groin and groaning.

The man straightened up and ground his handmade Italian leather oxford on the thief's offending hand.
The thief broke out in a cold sweat.
He reached out his other hand to grab the man's ankle, intending to drag him off balance.
But as he looked up, he was transfixed by the man's cold, almost reptilian eyes.
The thief shuddered.
"Hey, Kira's voice came from behind. 'Did you get him?"
The man turned around to face Kira.
At the same time, the thief snatched the knife lying near him and thrust it into the man's calf.
Steel cut through fabric and pierced skin and flesh.
The man narrowed his eyes.
Anger raged through his veins.
He saw red.
Turning back slowly, he impaled the thief with a savage, bloodthirsty look.
The thief lost all thought of revenge.
He scrambled backwards on his hands and feat, his knife forgotten.
The man looked ready to tear him limb from limb.
Kira dashed over. 'Is this the-

The man was bleeding.
The lower part of his black pantleg was soaked, turning dark maroon.
A small pool of blood had formed around his feet, spreading outward.
A crimson rivulet was snaking towards her.
A coppery smell invaded her nostrils, hurling her mind back to the car accident two years ago.
