Chapter 716 Everything Will Return To Where It Came From
“I want you to visit me in person,” Eli whined.
After a moment of silence, Stella nodded.
Eli walked away reluctantly, constantly turning back to look at Stella.
Stella stood where she was and watched as Eli walked into the waiting hall. It was not until the plane took off that she finally turned around and got into Elvis’ car.
“Elvis, could you help me with two last things?” Stella asked politely.
“Mrs. Milton, please feel free to give me your orders, I’ll do my best to help you. Also, I’m being sincere,” Elvis said, choking with sobs.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re being sincere. I need you to buy postcards with sceneries from all around the world tomorrow. It doesn’t matter if you couldn’t buy from each place in the world, just buy as many as you can…..” Stella ordered.
“Postcards with sceneries from around the world? Okay, I’ll get that done.”
“Also, I will grade all the papers within the next two days, and I’ll look for those who have any issues. I need you to give the list of names to Anthony. If he believes it, then great; if he doesn’t, then so be it.”
“Chief Levis actually respects Chief Milton. Everyone was just being too impulsive this morning,” Elvis said cautiously.
Stella sneered, “Whether he respects him or if he had his own intentions, we’ll find out in the time to come. However, this has nothing to do with me any longer. If you do complete these two tasks, then you’ve served me well, that’s all.”
Stella didn’t want to talk anymore, so she closed her eyes and tried to get some rest.
She arrived back at the villa an hour later. It was already midnight.
She did not go back to her room. Instead, she went straight to the library and called Anthony.
Anthony was still awake. His voice was very cold and distant when he answered the call. “Mrs. Milton.”
“Do you still remember the treasures that I gave you before? Could you get them back and return them to me?” Stella asked bluntly.
“I’ve given you the money for the treasures, so they belong to the military now. I don’t see the need to return them to you,” Anthony said coldly.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
“The God’s Eyes belongs to my husband, You could at least give that to me, right?” Stella tried to be reasonable and asked.
“The God’s Eyes is useless to you, and Chief Milton has already passed away.”
“So, you’re trying to seize the God’s Eyes too then?” Stella asked sarcastically.
“I’m not seizing it. You’re the one who doesn’t know between right and wrong,” Anthony replied icily.
“I understand. I’ll talk to you later then,” Stella proceeded to hang up.
She had expected Anthony to respond that way, so she didn’t feel too upset.
She dialed Bellamy’s number and asked, “Where are you?”
“At the entrance of the library,” Bellamy said.
“Come in, I have something to tell you,” Stella hung up and sat on the chair.
Bellamy pushed the door open and entered. He stared at her face with a serious look as he stood in front of her.
“Back then, I told Sean to go easy on you. He promised me that he wouldn’t lay a finger on you. Now, everything is within your control. Since something like this has happened to Sean, any chance of him staying as the President is considered lost. So, could you let him go so that he could be with Eli?” Stella asked.
“I can’t for now. Although Sean will no longer be the President, he still has a lot of influence. If I don’t get to the bottom of this, then I’ll have to deal with the consequences later on. Letting him go free is like letting a tiger loose. With that witty mind of his, I’m sure that he’ll be able to make a comeback,” Bellamy said carefully.
“His initial intention for becoming the President was to protect his family. As long as you don’t touch them, he’ll stay as far as he can from that position. That position is so high up there that it makes you feel lonely, plus the woman that he loves isn’t suitable to be the First Lady anyway.”
“You can’t control how others behave. I promise you that I’ll spare Sean’s life.”
“I want you to guarantee his freedom. I have something good to give you in exchange. Jasper owns a God’s Eyes, I could give it to you.
Steven had also gotten his hands on a big loot of treasure a while ago. I’m sure you know that they’re being kept by the military now. I could give it all to you too.
I could also give you the biochemical weapon and its antidote. Once you have it, no one will be a threat to you. What do you have to be afraid of?” Stella said coldly.
Bellamy studied her silently. He then said in a deep voice, “Okay, you have my word. But I can’t do that now, I can’t let Sean go now. Give me time until I’m appointed as the next President, then I’ll let him free.”
“Swear it,” Stella forced him.
Bellamy held his hand up beside his face.
Eli was her bestfriend, and Sean was Eli’s lover.
He didn’t want Stella to be too disappointed in him either.
“I swear that I’ll let Sean free one year after my appointment,” Bellamy said.
Stella didn’t continue to probe further. Bellamy was too cautious a person.
It was a miracle that she could even get him to promise her that.
“The God’s Eyes and the rest of the treasures are with Anthony. Since he’s now under you, I’m sure that he’ll hand it over once you ask. I’ll pass you the key and the location of the biochemical weapon to you later. You could send someone to pick it up, but it would be better if you were to head over there yourself. The virus could only be destroyed at a temperature below a thousand degrees. Whether you choose to leave it or destroy it, that’s up to you.”
“Okay, Stella,” Bellamy squatted in front of her. Holding Stella’s hand, he said sincerely, “I hope that you could understand that everything I’m doing is what I need to do.”
“You didn’t tell me before because you were afraid that I would object. Since it’s already done, I don’t want to say anything else. I’m tired, I’ll sleep in the library tonight,” Stella withdrew her hand from his.
“It’s cold in the library. Sleep in the room, and I’ll sleep in the guest room. If Mom asks, I’ll just tell her that I got back too late and I was afraid of waking you up.”
“Thank you,” Stella didn’t refuse his offer, and she walked off to her room.
She couldn’t sleep peacefully the entire night. She woke up several times.
It felt as though she was awakened by pain every time. She finally fell asleep after tossing and turning in bed for a long time. It was already 10 a. m. when she woke up the next day.
Eli should’ve already landed in Paris. She immediately looked for her phone, only to find that it was turned off.
She guessed that Bellamy must’ve come into her room and turn her phone off. With her eyebrows knitted together, she switched on her phone. However, after some time, she realized that Bellamy may have tampered with her phone while she was asleep.
She took apart her phone, she had to make sure that he didn’t install a chip into it. Then, she ran an antivirus program through it. After making sure there was no spyware in it, she finally called Allen.
“I’m sorry, I just woke up a few minutes ago. Have you picked up Eli?” Stella asked with concern.
“Yes, I have. I’ve already sent her to D Country, she should be arriving there around now.”
“Please find a safe place for her to settle down. I’ll ask Sean to send her child over. I’ll need to trouble you to take care of her for the next few days,” Stella pleaded.
“Yes, I’ll call you once she’s all settled down. By the way, it’s going to be difficult for Sean to turn things around this time, right? It looks like things have been a mess over there recently. Are you alright?” Allen asked with concern.
“I’m sure you’d never expect the person would be taking over the country after this whole mess,” Stella said without any emotion in her voice.
“Don’t tell that it’s all your doing? But I did hear that you were the one who brought Christian Saltzman and Quinn Zellweger to their downfall.”
“I hate politics with every fiber of my soul, and I’m not cut out for this battlefield. You’ll know who it is when the time comes. Also, Allen, there’s one more thing I’ll need your help with.”
