Chapter 14
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!"
Rose let out a loud scream as she quickly jolted awake from her sleep. Her upper clothes was soaked in sweat despite the fact that air conditioner was turned on. She has a completely pale face regardless of her naturally pale skin. It was only when she opened her eyes did she realize that she had fallen asleep and had a nightmare.
"I thought one was supposed to have nightmares when it's night?" Rose mumbled, trying to catch her breath while running a hand through her head. It was a terrible dream of herself dying again and she got to see the evil and wicked smile on Sophia's face again. Just as she was trying to regain herself, she heard a knock on the door. "Come in." She answered in a gentle voice.
The door opened and Paige strolled into the room with another maid carrying a tray behind her. Paige gestured the maid to leave after she placed the tray on the table.
"I brought you something to freshen yourself before dinner is prepared." Paige said as stared at Rose who was still dressed in the same clothes she had worn since she arrived. Her appreance and hair was a bit messy.
"Oh, thank you aunty." Rose nodded at Paige and tried to smile at her but she couldn't bring herself to smile.
"Are you okay, Young Miss?" Paige asked not able to take her eyes off Rose's pale expression.
"Y-yes, I am." Rose nodded her head.
"Are you sure? I heard you scream earlier, is there something wrong?" Paige went straight to the point and asked. She was just a few steps away from Rose's bedroom when she heard the scream.
"It's nothing. It seems like I remembered something and it made me scream like that. Anyways, thank you for bringing me something to eat." Rose said as she stood up from the bed.
"It seems you remember something? Young Miss are you sure-"
"Oh, yes, I'm very much okay Aunty." Rose didn't let Paige finish her words as she gently pushed her to the door and opened it. "Thank you for worrying about me but I'm okay." She added before pushing Paige out of her room and closed the door. Rose let out a sigh after successfully getting rid of Paige. She heads to the bathroom to freshen up seeing how soaked her clothes were due to the sweat.

An expensive black car drove and parked in front of Gray main building. The driver got out of the car and walked to the other side and opened the backseat door. A middle aged woman dressed in an expensive dress climbed out of the car. The maid at the entrance door quickly bowed their head when they sighted her.
"Welcome back, Madam." They greeted her and she only nodded her head at them before walking passed them and headed straight to her bedroom.
"Madam...Madam... Hurry. Madam!" Beatrice who was sitting in front of the dressing table removing the makeup she worn today was startled by the sound of a maidservant.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
"Mary, what is your problem? Are you planning to give me a heart attack? Why are you screaming out my name like that?" Beatrice had a displeased expression on her face as she glanced at the Mary who had barged into her room without knocking on the door. "I'm sorry about that, Madam. But there is a more pending issue than that." Mary apologize for her rude action holding her chest as if she was just running for her life. She resumed back to what had brought her into the room. She was one the maid Beatrice trusted and was close to in the mansion.
"What issues are you talking about? Look here, Mary. I have had a long infuriating day having to deal with those two-faced bitches out there, please do not add to my frustration." Beatrice waved her hand, uninterested in what Mary was about to say and turned back to the mirror.
"Madam, this is seriou! The young miss... The young miss has arrived." Mary stated.
"Eh? So what is the matter? What are you panicking for?" She inquired. She was thinking of her daughter Sophia.
"Mary, I have told you if you're disturbing my peace for stupid reason then leave before I lose my temper on you."
"No Madam. It's the Eldest Miss. Roseline. She is here."
At the mention of Roseline's name, Beatrice instantly turned to look at Mary.
"What did you say? Roseline? How could she be here? Where is she? When did she arrive?" Beatrice questioned, surprised to that Rose was around.
"Well, she arrived a few hours ago. That was why I came rushing to inform you when I heard you've also arrived." Mary responded.
"Quickly show me..." She got up from the seat and rushed out of the room.
She couldn't help but curse in her mind. How come Roseline just arrived without letting anyone know? William is not here. He is doing business overseas and will come back home in a week time. She gritted her teeth in annoyance.
She was panting when she arrived outside Rose room. She knocked slightly on the door before opening it and entered the room. The moment Beatrice stepped into the room, she quickly scanned the room to find Rose before her gaze landed at the veranda where Rose is currently sitting elegantly while reading a book in another language and sipping her juice that Paige had brought for her earlier.
Beatrice calmed herself before speaking to announce her presence. "Roseline? When did you arrive?" She asked as she took a few more steps into the room.
When Rose heard her voice she tore her eyes away from the book she was reading and glanced at her. Beatrice let out a gasp in astonishment. The girl before her is very beautiful. No. To say that Roseline is beautiful was an understatement.
She looks like a deity. She had long, silky jet black hair that cascaded down her back like a thick dark curtain. Slender eyebrows matched with long curly eyelashes. She had a tall and long nose and natural rosy heart shaped lips. And her biggest feature is her deep-seated gray eyes that she inherited from her mother, Ruby.
However, apart from being taken aback because of Rose's beauty, Beatrice was shocked when she saw a cold, dangerous glint in Rose's eyes when she looked at her.
