Boyfriend For Rent (They Met Again)

Chapter 29 Omg! He’s So Shameless

Ivan POV

The sound of my blaring alarm woke me up, and i groaned angrily, as I forced my eyes opened, before sitting up on the bed. Oh heavens! I hate this whole shit, so I’ll have to go out for some morning workout shit now. I wish I can still sleep for a few minutes, but I gat to go.

I groaned tiredly, as I swung my legs down the bed, before getting on my feet, after which I dragged my feet to the bathroom, and as soon as I got in, I stood tiredly and sleepily in front of the mirror, looking back at my messed up reflection. Gosh! I look horrible. Anyways, I’ll take my bath when I get back, but for now, let’s brush my teeth at least, who knows, I may bump into some bitch on my way, and bad breath will stop me from talking to her.

After brushing my teeth, I brushed my hair, and wore my head band around it, before stepping out to get dressed, and in a few minutes, I was all dressed up in my sport wears, ready to go do some exercise. Glancing at my reflection on the mirror one last time, I winked at myself, and picked my headset from the dresser, before storming out of my room, and straight to the living room.

Descending down the stairs, the sweet aroma of spaghetti, filled my nose, as I felt my mouth watered. Who the heck wanna kill me this early morning? We don’t have a cook in the house, I know Nora won’t sacrifice her sweet sleep to cook this early morning, and Nathan? Oh please, I shouldn’t even be thinking of him in this kind situation. He hasn’t cooked in my presence before, so I doubt if he knows how to boil water, let alone cooking such a nice food.

Letting my curiosity get the best of me, I sighed, before making my way to the kitchen, where I was welcomed with the back view of a guy, not just a guy, but Nathan. Wait! Is it that my eyes are not working or something?

“Is that you Nathan?” I called his attention, trying to make sure that my eyes are still working. For heaven sake, Nathan is not a big fan of cooking, I have never even imagined him, knowing how to cook.

“Oh! You’re here.” He smiled, as he turned to face me, with a smile on his face.

“Are you back from jogging already?” He asked.

“You know how to cook?” I asked, to be sure about the whole thing.

“Of course I do. I made sure I take cooking class back in California. My crush back then liked guys that can cook, so I decided to give it a try, but turned out she already liked someone else, it’s so disheartening, but it’s all to my advantage now.” He chuckled, before turning to stir the spaghetti.

“Wow!” Was all I could say. I never knew he knows how to cook. I’m so happy about this, I won’t have to hire cook again, I think he’ll be doing all the cooking henceforth, that wouldn’t be a bad idea, right?

“Yeah. I wanna make it up to Nora, since I made her sad yesterday, so I decided to make her this, I pray she likes it.” He chuckled, as he glanced at me.

Wait a minute! Don’t tell me he’s planning not to let me eat from this food? No, that’s never gonna happen.

“So, I’m going out, serve my own, I’ll eat it when I get back.” I smirked.

“I’m sorry bro, but you would have to make yourself some noodles when you get back, I made it for Nora alone.” He smirked.

What! Is he being serious right now or is this some joke? Hiw could he say that?Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

“You must be kidding me Nathan. I’ll be so mad at you, if I get back here, and don’t see my food.” I glared at him, before walking my way out, while I heard him chuckled. He better be joking. If there’s anything I love most after sex, then it’s food. You can call names, but I don’t care.

Stepping out of the house, I started jogging down the road, as I tuned my headset, and listening to my favorite song, Beautiful People by Ed Sheeran, while I hummed to the wonderful song.

The sound of my ringing phone stopped the music, and I stopped to catch my breath, before pressing the answer button on the headset, not bothering to check the caller ID on my phone.

“Hello Ivan.” Came the familiar voice.

I scoffed, as I rolled my eyes at nothing. Why the heck is she calling me now? I’m still damn mad at her for what she did, so why the heck is she calling me?

“What’s it Mira?” I scoffed.

“Cmon Ivan, you can’t continue like this. You’ve been snubbing my calls for weeks now, you’re hurting me, can you please stop doing this to me?” She whined like she was going to cry. She knows how to get to me, I hate it when she’s sad, it hurts me.

“Mira can you ple…”

“Ok fine, I’m sorry, Ok? I promise it won’t happen again. But you know I’ve been trying to get on her good side from onset, I don’t just know why she never liked me, and you know I can’t force her to.” She complained.

“Mira I don’t know either…., I think we should sit down and talk about these whole things. Alot of things have changed for these whole years that you’ve been away, so we need to talk about this, and sort things out.” I said sincerely. I don’t know what I feel for her anymore. She used to be my world, she used to be my everything, but I’m no longer sure of who she is to me now. You won’t blame me, right? I mean, she’s been away for almost ten years, so it’s normal, right?

An awkward silence clouded the other end, I think she is sad about what I said, but that is the only way, if we wanna continue this, I need to be sure of my feelings for her, I need to be sure if we can continue this or not.

“Call me when you wanna see.” I said, before hanging up. Letting out a sigh, I made to start jogging again, when I saw the person, I’ve been looking for since. Oh my God, it’s time for payback…
