Chapter 111 You Think I’m Lying?
Chapter 111 You Think I’m Lying?
When Michael Huo saw Linda Yun again, it was at the police station.
She was brought here for disturbing orders.
The police arrived at the scene soon after Steven Meng jumped out of his window.
But Linda Yun wouldn’t allow anyone to move his body.
She claimed it was a murder to them.
But no one believed her.
She wouldn’t let his body be taken away from the spot. She needed to collect evidence to prove
her assumption.
But they just didn’t allow her. There came a bunch of staff soon, loaded his body in the vehicle and
left.
She screamed and cursed like a crazy woman. She even beat the police.
Yes, it was the first time she beat someone the police.
So she was taken to the police station.
At this time, she sat on a stool in the corner of the police station, like a motionless puppet.
The man showed up there in a dark outfit. His charming face was gloomy and gave out a sense of
quivering madness.
"Mr Huo," the director of the police station smiled and came up to him as he saw Michael Huo.
"I’m sorry for all these troubles." Joe Guo spoke in response.
"Well, that’s okay. But Mrs Huo’s in a very unstable mood..." The director took a glance at the
poker face man.
Joe Guo just nodded and hurried to say, "That’s right. We get it. Well, Mr Fang, could we have a
little conversation?"
Mr Fang looked at Michael Huo and then Joe Guo, he just smiled and pointed a door.
Joe Guo followed him into the room.
The man’s face was strikingly handsome. But that pair of eyes of his manifested a sense of hatred.
He gazed at her and walked to her side.
She was sitting on a chair with the back leaning against the wall. Her dark eyes were now lifeless
and emotionless.
"Linda..."
He called her name softly and sat beside her.
But she didn’t speak or move her eyes and was like a statue at this moment.
The man frowned and reached out to hold her shoulder, "I’m here."
Linda Yun looked up slowly, whose disconsolate eyes were directly in the man’s.
For an instant, the guy’s heart wrenched.
"Everything’s gonna be fine. I’m here, okay?" He lifted his hand and tapped on her head.
But her tears gushed out. With her clear pupils expanded, she sobbed, "Uncle Meng jumped from
that building... he, he just jumped..."
Michael Huo slightly frowned, it was then was he aware of her having an uncle.
He had never heard of her mention that guy before.
Was this Steven Meng important?
"It’s him. It must be James Yun. He killed Uncle Meng!" She protested with reddened eyes, "He
killed my uncle!"
Michael Huo lowered his eyes with a sense of gloomy expression appeared on his face, and then
he consoled her, "James Yun killed your uncle? But he... he’s at the hospital now. He barely leaves the
room!"
On hearing his words, Linda Yun was stuck.
"I know you are really upset, but I’m gonna find out the truth. Let’s go home first, okay?"
On saying this, he held her hand.
But Linda Yun got rid of him immediately.
Under this condition, the man was frowning more tightly.
At present, he was not sure how important was this Steven Meng to her.
"You’re not in a stable mood. Let’s go home and then have everything sorted out, is that okay?"
Michael Huo tried to say in a calm and soft voice.
However, Linda Yun gazed at him with an extremely cold look, even, it was mixed with a sense of
disgust.
Staring at her for a moment, he moved his lips with a low voice, "So you think I’m lying?"
A sense of helplessness flashed in Michael Huo’s long and narrow eyes. He continued, "I don’t
mean that. I just mean, what’s the matter? It’s not that you can decide it by yourself. What’s more,
murder is not a small crime. Besides, ten minutes ago, the police gave me the files, all of which could
clearly prove that he did commit the suicide. There was not a single sign of damaging or a stranger’s
footprint. There was... clues that you were there!"
Linda Yun didn’t speak. She just gazed at this familiar and distant guy.
For the next second, she suddenly smiled.
But the smile was unusually cold.
"Okay, I get it."
Then she stood up.
And headed to the door.
"Where are you going?" Michael Huo asked.
"Where am I going? Does it have any business with you? President Huo?" A glint of sneer was
shimmering in her eyes.
The man’s face turned completely cold and doubtful. He squinted his eyes at the woman turning
around in front of him.
Swiftly, he dashed forward and grabbed her wrist.
"Let’s go home. Don’t act like a child."
Linda Yun looked at the hand and again at the man.
"What? Are you gonna lock me up like these cops? Or are you restraining my freedom?"
"Linda Yun!"
She just got rid of his hand without any expression. Her voice was extremely cold "Don’t call my
name!" NôvelDrama.Org © content.
"Enough! Don’t you know that you have already been accused!" Michael Huo’s voice turned calm.
That stupid girl! Didn’t get what was happening right now!
Linda Yun didn’t utter a word, she just stared at the man and snorted, "I’m accused?"
"Your finger prints are all over the room. You had lunch and drank wine. It took no less than three
minutes for him to commit suicide after you left. Do you think the police will suspect you or not?"
Michael Huo frowned.
Actually, he didn’t really thought too much.
But Director Fang had made it clear in the phone.
The incident, and even the whole issue, might be extremely negative to her!
And once there was a lawsuit or if some relatives of his came to report this case, Linda Yun was
the first suspect!
But for now, he didn’t care about who Steven Meng was.
Or if he committed suicide or not.
What he concerned was that Linda Yun mustn’t be dragged into this mess.
She slightly lifted her chin and sneered, "Well, thank you by the way. President Huo!"
After popping that, she stepped out directly.
"Miss Yun..." Joe Guo had just talked to Director Fang and came out to spot this.
But Linda Yun even ignored him, popped into a cab and left.
Joe Guo hurried inside and said, "Mr Huo, you see..."
The man didn’t reply, he was just twisting his eyebrows and giving some sense of hatred...

Linda Yun told the driver to go to the funeral parlour in the cab.
Then she shut her mouth and looked out of the window.
"This is Chinese wisteria, your mom’s favorite. When she lived in her old house, wisteria was
blooming all over her yard in May. She loved to dance under the tree. I saw the flower blossomed by
the street, so I picked some for your mom. Take this, it’s beautiful!"
"Just go home, don’t let worry about your being late."
"I’ll be fine. If I miss you, I can go to your school to see you."
"Linda, Uncle Meng will continue staying in Austral City. If you need any help, just come to me. I’ll
always help you out!"
"Do call me, Linda, okay? You just come to me if you have something to discuss."
Linda Yun burst into tears, which just then covered all over her cheeks.
Steven Meng’s words are echoing around her head. He was her loving uncle.
The uncle who had been loving her mother deeply...
A few hours ago, he was having lunch and chatting with her...
But...
She put her hand on her lips and bit it hard with tears streaming down her face.
"Ring, ring, ring." Her phone suddenly rang.
She took the phone and wailed, "Kui, my uncle’s gone..."
————
Half an hour later.
Linda Yun got to the funeral parlour.
The place at night was lonely and tranquil.
Only some staff were busy with their work.
Linda Yun entered into the room and quickly found out the closet in which Uncle Meng was lying.
She paid the money and was led to him by a staff.
Uncle Meng, sleeping in that transparent ice coffin, had already been dressed up and put on some
makeup.
His beard was shaved, his calm face was put on some proper makeup and his hair was combed.
He looked pretty handsome.
A look that Linda Yun had never seen.
She gazed at the man who was still energetic and alive this noon lying in this cold place now.
She felt that a fist beat hard on her heart that she couldn’t breathe out of this heartache.
Soon, they brought her a basket of wisteria as she asked and handed it to her.
With her eyes reddened, she took the wisteria bit by bit and placed it gently around Steven Meng.
"Uncle Meng, you said that you wanted to bring it to visit mom. You’ll remember you as long as you
have these..." She sobbed as she said this to him. Then she just knelt down on the ground and burst
into tears by the ice coffin.
"Miss Yun..." Out of sudden, a female’s voice echoed.
Linda Yun looked up in tears it was a staff.
"Sorry to bother you. But I found this. When I was doing his makeup, I found it in his fist." Then that
woman handed her a white handkerchief.
Linda Yun took it with her shaking hands and slowly opened it.
For an instant, a gold trimmed black button was there.
This was...
She looked carefully.
Why this button was so familiar?
She lowered her eyes to recall.
The next second, she widened her eyes and started to shed tears again.
This customized button, belonged...
Belonged to the personal assistant of James Yun’s!
"Ah————" Linda Yun wailed out loud, which was really heart wrenching.
"Sorry, sorry, it’s me, it’s all my fault..."
She chocked and failed to finish her words.
"This is my fault! Uncle Meng... I’m really sorry... please forgive me..."
She began to kneel down and make kowtows to him. Her forehead was tapping hard on that cold
floor over and over again.
It was her fault.
It was her fault...
If she wasn’t there, Uncle Meng couldn’t have died...
"Linda Yun!" When she was about to kneel down, George Mo dashed toward her and grabbed her
shoulders, "What are you doing?"
Linda Yun looked at him faintly through tears. Her forehead was already bleeding.
"What are you doing? Are you out of your mind?" George Mo didn’t want to see her being like this.
Tears, fell down from her cheeks once more.
"This is all my fault. I’m a sinner. He died because of me!" And she was to kneel down again.
"If he saw you doing this, do you think he’ll feel happy?" Mo clutched her shoulders and grilled
loudly.
Linda Yun was suddenly stuck, she looked back at him.
"Don’t cry, don’t cry... You must be really hurt, you’re bleeding!" Mo took pity on her when she was
crying. He wiped the blood from her forehead with his quivering hand. "I believe he was a good guy. He
was your loving uncle. If he saw you treated yourself like this, he would stop you..."
Linda Yun didn’t reply but couldn’t stop weeping.
"Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you in the future on behalf of him. Don’t be sad, don’t cry, okay?" Mo
smiled to her and shed some tears, too.
Then Linda Yun dashed into his arms and said, "George..."
What on one noticed was that...
A man was standing by the door remorsefully.
"Mr Huo..." Joe Guo frowned and called his name softly.
The guy turned around and responded in a low voice, "Let’s leave."
Joe Guo followed him without saying a word.
