Chapter 642 -
Chapter 642 -
David got out of the car and opened the door for Kate.
Kate felt uneasy; the hospital and police station were not some places people should come for a
surprise.
Kate looked at David with uneasiness in her eyes; David felt her sadness, and he leaned and carried
her by princess style in his embrace. "Don't think about anything; you will soon know." He whispered
into her ears gently.
Kate gripped the side of his suit on her chest and blinked uncertainly, she didn't know what he wanted
to see, but she was not ready to see it yet.
David kissed her forehead. "Believe me; you will be happy to see it." David hugged her and walked into
the hospital lounge.
Kate's racing heart finally calmed down because she believed her husband more than the world, so
what was this little matter? Since he said nothing serious or anything, she felt him this time.
David pressed the 20th-floor button in the elevator; they were alone in the elevator, and the bodyguards
didn't follow them because David knew everything was already checked thoroughly; also, this hospital
was under his company, so even if anyone wanted to sneak in, they couldn't.
The elevator stopped and opened in front of an empty floor; David stepped out and walked to the right
side of the bed until he saw one person standing there.
Kate also noticed it; when the person heard footsteps, the person turned around, and it was none other
than Nate Allen; seeing her Dad, Kate was surprised, and she yelled excitedly, "Dad." She almost
jumped out of David's arms.
David felt her excitement seeing Nate, he felt sour, but he didn't show it on his face because the Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
happiness faded from his sourness on her expression; David leaned and placed her feet on the ground.
When Kate felt her feet touch the ground, she almost ran to Nate and threw herself in Nate's arms,
seeing his princess after so long.
Nate felt his world lightened by the sudden light and was over the moon when he finally saw her happy
and healthy again.
Nate hugged her tightly and kissed her head dotingly; this girl's one smile made him forget the pain he
had gone through for the last few days; both the father and daughter duo ignored the person and let out
their emotions through silence.
After a long time, Kate raised her head and looked at Nate with teary eyes. "Dad, I missed you, but why
are you……." Kate stopped halfway when she realized they were in the hospital. The fear she just
forgot came to haunt her heart.
"Dad, why are you here? Where is mom? Did something happen to mom?" Kate was on the verge of
crying, thinking something might have happened to her mother. She felt the world darkened by
sadness.
David and Nate got anxious after seeing her hard erection; Nate shook his head hurriedly, "No
princess, your mother is okay; nothing happened; we're here because of your grandma." Nate hurriedly
explained.
Kate stopped on her track when she remembered Mrs. Allen going through an operation after a heart
attack and finally sighed out loud.
When she saw the emotion in her father's eyes, she realized she was too emotionless, but what could
she do? Mrs. Allen was a stranger to her; she didn't get back her memories, so unlike her father, she
had no emotional attachment, but she felt sad for Mrs. Allen; she did so much.
If possible, she wanted to build a good relationship with the woman who gave her such a father. She
was happy to know her all over again. She might have forgotten the old her, but now she would know
about their relationship again.
"Dad, how is grandma? Is everything okay? You were in A country; did the doctor allow you to bring her
here?" Kate asked everything in one go.
Nate patted her head "she wants to meet you; she is okay now." Then, Nate said as if he was hiding
something.
"Dad, something happened, right?" Kate felt he was hesitant to tell her what was happening.
"She is paralyzed from her waist because she suffered a huge blow from a heart attack, and it's not her
first time; this was her third time; she was lucky to be here this time," David explained.
After the operation, old madam Allen regained her senses successfully, but another sad news came,
they found she couldn't move her lower body, but what shocked them when old madam suddenly asked
them to prepare a divorce letter for her and sent it to Old master Allen who almost went crazy
searching for her.
Nate looked into his mother's eyes and asked if she was sure; in return, she asked another question
"Son, I want to leave everything behind with this paper, but will I burden you if I ask you to take me with
you and let me live with you?" When she asked this question.
Before Nate could answer, Kylie grabbed her mother-in-law's hand and vowed, "Mom, what are you
saying? You're the root, while we are the tree on that root. Do you think trees can live without roots? So
how could you think like this?" Kylie scolded like she was scolding her daughter.
Old madam Allen teared up, she thought she would die, but since she didn't, she wanted to leave this
suffocating place for good.
"But mom, are you okay with leaving this country?" Nate suddenly asked her. Since he found his wife
and son, he had no intention of staying in the country and living between his daughter and
grandchildren for the rest of his life.
Standing on his mother and grandmother's side, Kevin suddenly looked at Nate, and his eyes sparkled
like stars in the night sky. He had wanted to say this for a long time, but the situation was a little tricky,
so he stopped.
Nate felt a gaze on him, which was hard to ignore; he looked at Kevin and asked, "Is it okay with you if
we go to S country to live near your sister?" Since the boy was so protective of his sister and mother,
Nate thought he would be happy to move to S country.
Kevin didn't care if Nate asked him; he couldn't hide his excitement and yelled, "of course, mom and I
already planned it; it's okay if you join us." He asked as if it was okay if Nate didn't come along.
Nate was speechless, he thought he was wrong to decide without asking his son, but it seems his son
was merciless toward him when it came to showing him ruthlessness.
Old madam Allen was weak, but she smiled when she saw the father and son duo behave like this.
They were funny. One was too concerned about his son, while the other stabbed him in the heart with
his action, but people could tell they didn't know how to express each other's feelings.
"Okay, let's move to S country then." Old madam Allen just wanted to spend the rest of her life seeing
her children grow up and live happily.
Back to the present, Kate heard everything about old madam Allen; she was surprised by old madam
Allen's bravery; this woman was a wonderful woman; she lived her life for others,
but always kept control of her hand; at this age, she decided to leave the man whose hand she had to
hold in her youth, yet she didn't hesitate or show fear going that man.
She acted as a real woman should, she forgave the older man because of his cruelty, but she didn't
forget the pain she had to suffer at the last moment.
Nate hides Kevin's matter from Kate since the boy repeatedly warned him that if he dared to reveal the
truth until he did, he would end their father and son's relationship,
Nate was helpless, he couldn't help but adore his daughter even more, see how sensible and adorable
his Grace was, yet that boy was the devil in the human skull; now he feels like that boy born to torment
him for life.
If he told him to go west, the boy would go east. He was so rebellious against his father, but Nate could
do nothing about his character since the boy was his son, and they missed so many years with each
other.
"What about mom, dad? Where is she? Is she inside?" The first Kate wanted to meet was her mother;
she missed her mom.
This time she wanted to build many beautiful memories she couldn't make even when they were with
each other, not knowing they were tied by the most beautiful bond in this world, mother and daughter.
Nate could only sigh. "I sent her to the south mansion; I didn't know you were coming. You can only
meet her when you go back home." Nate said his son-in-law knew how to surprise them.
David looked at his father with a smirk. Nate was speechless.
Kate suddenly didn't want to go on anymore; she tried to leave the hospital and go home to meet her
mother.
"Meet your grandma; she is eager to meet you; at least say hello to her." Nate wanted his mother to
meet his daughter because his mother gave her some hope. Only their family could put some hope and
color in his mother's boring life.
Kate looked at David. "Darling, I…" she didn't know how to express her nervousness; she suddenly
couldn't get over-passionate with the woman she didn't even know now.
"Just chat as her junior; I'm sure you will find her dear once you tie a bond slowly." David wanted the
entire world to love his wife, if possible because she deserved it. So he tried to fill the hole she had left
alone for many years.
The more people loved her, the sooner her scar would fade from the past.
Kate nodded; when she was about to enter, the door was pushed open; the nurse came out after she
injected medicine in the old madam; when she saw an unknown person, she looked around; when Nate
realized since Kate was an unknown person, the nurse was heating.
"It's okay; she is our daughter," Nate confirmed, and only then did the nurse move from the place.
Kate nervously looked at David; David couldn't help anymore and walked to her and grabbed her by
the waist. "It's okay; let's go in."
When Kate got his support, she felt relieved and walked in. The old madam was tired after the nurse
gave her the medicine, so she closed her eyes to rest for a while.
"Mom," Nate called her; old madam Allen turned and looked at the door, where she saw a girl standing
in front of her bed with a man, looking at her with the most beautiful gazes she was familiar with.
She felt she was seeing someone through those eyes." She called out unconsciously, "Grace."
The moment she said it, everyone was stunned, she just took a second, and she already recognized
her; even her parents failed to recognize her until the end, yet this woman in front of her showed a
different feeling in her.
Kate's eyes reddened when she felt the strangeness, as if she buried this feeling deep in her heart.
"Hello, grandma." She called out gently; old madam Allen tried to move her body, but in a hurry; and
she almost hurt her wound. Nate frowned, but David and Kate were faster than him.
David held the old madam's body and supported him. "Grandma, calm down." David already accepted
this woman as his grandmother-in-law, so he didn't feel awkward about it and called her the way he
should.
The older woman looked at the man and then at the girl; she raised her hands; Kate grabbed her
hands, and old madam Allen pulled Kate near her and cried bitterly.
