Chapter 63
I was still seething from the way she yelled at me, and now she was standing in front of me, a smirk on her face evil witch that she was. All the pity that I felt for disappeared in an instant, he b**h deserved every single thing that was coming her way.
that blanket that was Maybe Aston wasn’t such a monster after all. She was literally trying to kill me by asking me floating to who knows where and she was doing it with a smile of her face too. Openly! It was like she was not sacred of the consequences! I didn’t see what she needed to be scared of though, none of the people on the beach knew or cared about mr. Even if they did, they could not stand up to Aston, who was ** doubts going to defend her.
She would just easily claim that it was an accident and every one would be on their merry way without blinking twice and that would be the end of my f**g life.
I contemplated ignoring her, but I didn’t want to start another unnecessary argument. I thought about it again. Was she really worth risking my life for? But then again, I would rather die at sea than in her hands. It was really the devil and the deep blue sea for real this time and the deep blue sea was really pulling me close
I looked around as thought I was bidding the world a silent farewell and started to walk towards the weather but turned right back. My heart was pounding under my chest. I had always been scared of the water, it was why I never learned to swim even after all the countless opportunities that I had.
Never once done did I think that I would be in the kind of situation where if I didn’t swim, I would die when I drowning. It was such a f** up situation and there was nothing I could do about it.

Mara waited, her eyes fixed on me, urging me to go. I knew she wanted to make sure I was left behind on this beach, she was enjoying my predicament. After that**t show of a date, it was only natural for her to want to uproot the problem and in my sorry case, that problem was me. If only there was a way to run away from her.
“Go, Kira! Go!” she called out, her voice dripping with malice. “You’re so weak, you can’t even swim. You’re a burden to Aston and the rest of us. Go get the f***g blanket and stop wasting so much time. I have other things and they sure as hell don’t involve staring at a p**y cat.
I walked towards the ocean, my eyes fixed on the blanket that was still floating on the water. Maybe if I just stared at the blanket instead of the waves crashing around it, I would be able to get it without being scared.
I took a deep breath. “Its just like taking a bath in a big tub of cold water and you don’t even have to go all in. All you have to do is grab the blanket and you’ll be on your merry way.” I told myself over and over again.
I attempted to retrieve it, walking slowly but steadily. Gripping the sand beneath my feet with joy to

“Its just a big tub and you all you have to do I grab the blanket.” hold myself again and I went much deeper into the water than I thought I would need to. It was like the wind was playing a harsh trick on me because the blanket kept drifting further by the second and I was already waist deep into the water.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
My head was still out so I could do it. All my senses were screaming for me to turn the hell back due to the wave that was coming but the blanket was already so within reach, all I had to was to grab it without loosing grip of the ground of loose sand that was beneath my feet but the moment I stretched my hands to reach for the blanket, it was like the wind propelled me forward and I lost grip almost instantly, the harsh waves pulled me in and it went dark real fast.
1 struggled to swim, screaming as the water engulfed me. It was cold and dark under and it felt like I was really going to die. After all these months of wishing that I was dead, the moon goddess finally found the time to grant me my wish hut why did it have to be this way?
Was I really going to die after suffocating under such freezing water? What terrified me more than the water itself were the things that lived in it. I could literally get ripped apart by a shark or get swallowed so insignificantly by a whale. All my thoughts seemed to be weighing me down even more, I was submerged, fighting tirelessly for the life I never knew I was still interested in living and when I managed to resurface, I saw Mara standing on the shore, a wide ** smile still plastered on

her face, one that I could see even through my blurred vision. The level of her wickedness slowly dawned on me as I moved my legs desperately, in all the wrong directions.
They used to say drowning was the fastest way to learn how to swim but I guess that was a big lie. I couldn’t swim to save my
life.
I was doing all I could though and I was certain that I was making an impact on the water with how much I was moving. In was a private beach for rich people, hot top**s lifeguards were crawling around si why wasn’t any one of them coming to save me? Was it obvious that I was just a replaceable property trisling the water or was I really just destined to die?
I struggled to stay afloat, but the waves were too strong 1 began to sink, and I thought I was going to drown. I was slowly starting to give up, my legs were not moving as much because I was losing my strength and both my hands were still busy trying to make sure I was still breathing by wiping down my face a million times as if I just got out of the shower and all that I needed to do to breathe was wipe the water off my face,
Just as I was losing hope, I felt strong arms pulling me out of the water. If the hands were not pulling me upwards, I would have been convinced that the sharks had come for me and they were tossing me around before deciding who would have me for lunch. I was carried to the sand, and Aston began to pat ipy back as I coughed out water
“Kira, are you okay?” he asked, his voice laced with worry. “What happened? I thought you were right behind us.” He questioned frantically. There was a small crowd forming to see what happened and it was then I saw the lifeguards rushing in my direction, how effective they are!
I glared at Mara, my anger and fear still raw. “She tried to kill me, Aston. She purposely tried to drown me. She’s been trying to get rid of me since the beginning. I blurted out, the words getting out of my mouth unprocessed and angry.
Aston’s eyes narrowed. “Mara, what’s going on here? Did you try to hurt Kira?”
Mara’s expression turned innocent. “I don’t know what Kira’s talking about, Aston. I was just trying to help her. She’s always been so paranoid.”
I shook my head, my hair dripping with water. “Don’t lie, Mara. You’ve been trying to eliminate me since the beginning and the worst part is that I have no idea what joy my death will bring you because I promise you that even if I die, you’ll be just as miserable.”
Aston’s grip on my shoulders tightened. “Kira, let’s get you back to the campsite. We’ll sort this out later. Mara, stay away from Kira. I mean it.”
I nodded, still coughing out water. As Aston helped me up, I shot Mara a warning look. This wasn’t over yet. I was going to make sure Aston knew the truth about Mara’s intentions even if he was just going to ignore them again. Somebody at least needed to know the real reason I died if she eventually succeeded in killing me.
The crowd soon seemed to disperse as they noticed that there wasn’t much to see. Aston didn’t want to make a scene in front of them and I saw him glare at the life guard as he carried me bridal style to the car. He looked so worried and so furious at the same time.
