Chapter 38 Are You Sure to Treat Him Like That
Chapter 38 Are You Sure to Treat Him Like That
Margery walked in with two bulging bags in her hands and saw Melvin grin like a fool. She raised her eyebrows and asked, "What are you so happy about?"
"Margery, it is so funny. Ethan and I just ganged up on Golden. I was so happy that we discouraged him!"
Melvin helped her to pick the things out from the bags. They were all for Ethan. Suddenly, he remembered something, frowning nervously. "Margery, when you came in, did you see that damn jerk Golden outside?"
Margery held the nutritious millet porridge in her hands and went to the bed. She squatted down, feeding Ethan the porridge carefully, while replying to Melvin, "No, what's wrong?"
"Well, I'm glad I didn't see it. That means he didn't hear what I said to Ethan."
Melvin slapped his hand on his forehead and wiped away the cold sweat in a dramatic way. And then he told Margery what Ethan had said to Golden. After that, he gave a thumbs-up to Ethan with a smiling face and said, "Gee, I am now a little sympathy for Golden for having such a son."
"Melvin, whose side are you on?"
Margery was little angry, complaining that she couldn't get in touch with him last night, so Golden took advantage of her and hugged and kissed her forcibly.
Until now, she still felt a little sick.
"I stand you, of course!" Melvin immediately said.
Ethan kept a cool face and kept silent as he ate his porridge.
Occasionally he raised his big dark eyes and looked at Melvin, so sharp that it was not like a four-year- old child. Melvin was terrified and quickly took out his phone and found Ethan's naked photos, and deleted it reluctantly.
"Ethan, I have... I have deleted them all. I didn't lie to you, and I dare not lie to you."
Melvin looked sincere, and almost wanted to swear.
Ethan nodded coolly.
"Melvin, what's wrong with you two?" Margery was puzzled looking at them.
"No, nothing happened between me and Ethan! I can't stand the smell of alcohol on myself after spending the whole night in bar, so I'll go home, take a shower and get some sleep. Then I'll come back to the hospital to see Ethan later."
After that, Melvin was about to leave, but Margery stopped him.
"Melvin, wait a minute, I just need your help with something," said Margery.
"Yes. What's it? If I can do it, I will try my best, even I will risk my life."
Margery glared at him. "It's not that serious."
After feeding Ethan the delicious rice porridge, Margery cleaned his face and put him in clean clothes. And then, she took Melvin to the corridor and told him what she needed him to do in a whisper.
"Margery, are you sure you want to do this to Golden?" Melvin laughed out loud.
"Not exactly to deal with him, but to treat him."
"He spent 3 million in my hospital to cure his physical sickness. A period of the treatment lasted ten days to half a month. I bet him that he would have to pay me another 5 million and call a press conference to apologize to me if I could cure his illness."
After hearing her explanation, Melvin immediately understood what she meant. He brushed his messy hair and smiled with amusement. "All right, I got it. That would be an experience Golden would never forget in his life."
Margery chuckled. "That's what I told him."
"It means we think alike! If we work together, plus Ethan's assistance, I don't believe we can't deal with Golden," Melvin smiled. "Leave it to me. Bye-bye!"
Margery felt speechless, "Bye!"

When Golden left Ethan's room, he went back to his car and lit a cigarette. He looked sullen now and emitted cold aura.
Ethan's words kept lingering in his mind.
A four-year-old child was still naive, and he did not know how to lie.
"My father said he once had a best friend whose surname was Byrne, but she died a tragic death, and he missed her so much that he found Mummy who had the same name as his best friend and gave birth to me and my sister, so our surname name is Byrne."
His father was Melvin.
Melvin's best friend, whose surname name was Byrne, was Margery of five years ago.
When Margery died, Melvin missed her, so he found Dr. Byrne, who had the same name as Margery, and then gave birth to Ethan and his sister.
It sounded perfectly reasonable.
But the more perfect it was, the more problematic it was.
After he forcibly kissed Margery, her attitude toward him was with extreme dislike mixed with hatred.
He was sure he had never done her any harm.
So where did her hatred for him come from?
Unless...
She was the Margery five years ago, or, Margery's friend who wanted to defend Margery.
He was more inclined to the former because of his keen intuition.
Well, since she wanted to flirt with him, he would play with her!
Sooner or later, he would discover her mystery.
After a long time, Golden took the last drag of a cigarette and smiled.
His long fingers gave a sudden force, and the cigarette butts shattered into powder in his hands.

Half an hour later, Golden showed up in Layne's room.
Layne had woken up. His face was ruddy, and he seemed to be taken good care of.
Looking down, he saw Vivian, who looked so haggard, half lying on the bed. Her thin white hands were stiff, maintaining the position of covering Layne with a quilt.
Golden's heart softened. Layne was so happy to see Golden when he just opened his eyes. "Ethan beat you; don't you want to fight back?" asked Golden in a low voice.
"No." Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Layne frowned and shook his head, "In kindergarten, no one wants to play with me, except his sister Bonnie, my best friend. Ethan is half my friend. If I fight back, Bonnie will be angry and she might not want to play with me anymore. By then I won't have a friend! I want to have good friends. I don't want to play alone, eat alone, and sleep alone."
After hearing that, Golden felt a little sad and nodded, "Fine."
Then he caressed the little fellow's thin face and told him to have a rest. Looking at Vivian's gaunt face, he gracefully took off his suit and placed it gently over her.
