Weak
In Mr. Samuel’s office.
Lexi and Mr. Samuel were sitting together. They’re still silent. The son was still sad and did not know where to start the conversation.
“What are you thinking! Was Jessica kidnapped? What should I do to help you? I can’t see you just quiet like this Lexi. Please say something!” Samuel said calmly. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
It was a long time before Lex finally spoke.
“You were involved in an accident twelve years ago, the car accident that killed Jessica’s parents, right?” Lexi asked as he lowered his fist. He didn’t want his father to see his sad expression. Moreover, he was also not ready to listen to the truth of the story.
“Since when did you know it Lexi?” Mr. Samuel still refused to tell him everything. He was involved in that accident.
“For a long time, it’s been a long time since I investigated you, dad. Which makes me suspect, why didn’t Jessica’s family approve of her relationship with me? Could it be you who caused the accident twelve years ago?”
“What do you know about it, Lexi? I want to know what you know, then I want to tell you everything!” Mr. Samuel said he didn’t want Lexi to know what he shouldn’t know.
“I know everything, I know Jessica’s parents work at Ricardo Group. I also know that they had an accident because the car they were riding in was your car! Just admit it, dad! You were involved!” Lexi answered angrily. Longing for Jessica made her eager to immediately reveal the truth of Jessica’s parents’ death, to make a decision on the next step.
“You can’t accuse me like that! Can you prove it Lexi!? Look at you now, dare to accuse me of something I didn’t necessarily do!” Mr. Samuel replied with emphasis in every word he said.
“If you were not involved, now you have to prove it!” Lexi insisted. He blamed his father for what happened to Jessica.
“Why do I have to prove something I didn’t do! If you did accuse me, you should have proof that you think I did!” Mr. Samuel shouted.
Lexi nodded his head. He looked at his father with a sharp look. “Well, if you didn’t want it. Don’t blame me if I get that evidence! If you or mom were involved I will not hesitate to put you in jail!” Lexi growled. There was a feeling of sadness creeping into his heart. He wanted his father to firmly refute the accusations from him not like this, as if to accept and justify what he was accused of.
Mr. Samuel didn’t know what Lexi said. He just walked out of his office.
Lexi was alone in the room. He was still thinking that his parents were involved in the accident with Jessica’s parents. So he did not have the courage to meet his wife’s family members. How about that?

At night in the Living Room of the Kim Family.
“Elsa, I have enrolled you in the same university and department as Beryl, starting tomorrow I will take you to college!” David rold her. Happily for as long as Daniel has been trying to bring Elsa back, he has enrolled his younger sister in a good college. As well as with Beryl, who is her best friend. David was sure the younger brother would adapt easily.
“I think it is too fast?” Jessica was really not ready, going through a hectic routine. Her heart still hurts! She always thought about her late future, how deep and how hurt she was.
“You’re not ready?”
Jessica nodded slowly.
“Then I will not force you and you have to tell me when you are ready,” he said. He could feel that something was weighing on his sister’s mind.
“Do you know Beryl? When did you met him?” she asked. She never thought about the bagels. All his heart and mind were filled with only Lexi, Lexi, and Lexi at this moment.
“Yes, before I met you, in the process of finding my beloved sister, I met Beryl, then I found out about you and would know if you were ever close!” he replied.
“Oh, all right. When I’m ready, I’ll tell you.” Jessica smiled at David, not knowing she had two older brothers who loved and protected her.
“I’m waiting, Elsa!” David nodded cheerfully. The twelve-year-old sister he thought had died, was still alive and transformed into a very beautiful girl.
“Yes, then I go back into my room first, I’m sleepy!” Jessica pretended to yawn. So his brother believed that she was really sleepy.
“Good night, Elsa.”
“You too, have a good night’s sleep and don’t sleep late!” Jessica replied. Then, she moved from sitting and moving towards her room which was close to the family room.
Jessica’s hand reached out, opening the door. She closed it and didn’t forget to lock it. Her weak body sat down, leaning against the door.
In just a few seconds her cheeks were flooded with tears. Everything felt heavy. When she pretended to be fine while her heart still felt lost. Yes, Jessica still hadn’t accepted losing her future baby. With both hands, Jessica closed her face, lavishing all her sadness there.
For a long time Jessica cried, lamenting her grief alone. She got up and forced both of her feet to step onto the bed. “I can,” she murmured with her sobs. Then, she climbed onto bed trying to close the day with a smile. She convinced herself that all would be well.

Lexi didn’t go to work today. Like a bird with a broken wing, he was laying helpless in his room. There was a wound in his heart, a very deep wound. Not long ago he lost his future baby he had hoped for long ago, now his wife who is the mother of the baby also left him. It had already fallen down the stairs, so it happened with Lexi at this time.
The man stared at their wedding photos that he had just posted a few days ago. Although only wearing a simple white kebaya, his wife still looked very beautiful. Supposedly, if his future baby in Jessica’s stomach was still okay, all would not be like this. The thanksgiving party would not fail and his special lady would definitely still be by his side.
Lexi steadies the ceiling of his room, looking for a glimmer of hope for his relationship with Jessica. If he had, he would have denied his love for her. Now Lexi really couldn’t give his love other than to his wife. “Could this be karma? Karma cause I used some bad things on you, Jess!” Tears streamed down on Lexi’s cheeks. He was so sad that he couldn’t think of anything other than his wife.
This night wasn’t as good as a night when you were with me.
It’s not as warm as a night when you were by my side.
