Harriet greeted him with a smile even though he did not move at all, "Mr. Smith, I hope you enjoy the
night." NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
She sat among a group of men with the arrangement of boss Baker.
Henry put his hand on Harriet as soon as she said down.
"Miss Clark, you are late. How long have we been here before you came? Show your sincerity for us."
Harriet put up a stand smile calmly, "Why didn't you call me earlier? I am just a little actress and I do
not think that I am qualified to hang out with you big bosses. Thanks for dear Irene that I can have the
chance to be here. "
"Really?" Henry put out his business card immediately. "You can just contact me directly next time if
you want."
Harriet was about to reach out to pick the card up, but the producer deliberately avoided her hands. He
shoved his business card on Harriet in front of everyone.
"Producer Henry," Harriet stopped his hand.
"What?" There was a glimmer of anger in his eyes.
"Don't get me wrong,"
Harriet pulled his business card from his hand and raised the glass. Her watering eyes attracted all the
men around.
"How could I get through this so easily as I am late? I am grateful for your business card, but I still need
to drink a glass of wine to make up for my lateness.
Henry immediately turned to be glad and satisfied, "I like wise women as you."
Harriet drank a glass of whiskey to bottom and her felt pretty hot from her throat down to the stomach.
The men looked at her with more eager except for Wesley.
Harriet dealt with these men with ease and she made everyone happy and excited. Henry liked her so
much.
Harriet concealed the disgust in her eyes, and still laughed on her face, pushing him away slightly.
"Henry, would you allow me to play in the drama I said?"
"Of course I agree. I will let you play the second heroine if you want."
"Thank you very much! Cheer!"
In the corner, Wesley was already controlling his outrage.
Harriet drunk too much and caught a chance to go to the bathroom.
As soon as she opened the door, she was pushed forward fiercely, almost hitting the wall.
She smelled the familiar taste of the man before she made a sound. She turned around, pulled up a
smiling face and watched him after she was stunned for a while.
"Mr. Smith, this is the women toilet."
Wesley clasped her wrist and pulled her back instead of letting her leave.
"What are you doing?"
Wesley used to know the docile girl but not this indifferent woman. He was upset and just wanted to
ridiculed her ruthless.
"Is the money I gave you not enough? Why did you tarnish yourself for a drama?"
"I tarnished myself?"
Harriet frowned and smiled, "Mr. Smith, I think you know about the rules in our business, right? Thanks
to your shelter for the past two years, I have had a comfortable life. Our relationship is over. I am
making money on my own and no one will think he has too much money."
He thought she would not sleep with other men after she left him?
Wesley was gloomy.
"So as long as someone gives you jobs and money, he can have sex with you?"
The words were harsh enough for her but she stared at him for a moment quietly, smirking. She
reached out to catch him. The strong perfume smell suddenly rushed into Wesley's breath and made
him frown.
Harriet had a light fragrance even if she wore it as she knew that he didn't like the strong sense in the
past.
"You're right. I do not care who will have sex with me."
A rushing telephone rang.
Harriet felt clearly that Wesley's hand moved away from her and glanced at her once, and then pressed
the answer button.
"Louisa, what's wrong?"
He was unpleasant but still agreed with that the other side said. Harriet could not hear what they were
talking about.
"I'll let someone handle it for you."
Harriet thought the end of the phone was probably his cherished fiancée, the woman who made her
donate a kidney.
A glimmer of coldness flashed in her eyes, and she started touching Wesley to put him into trouble.
Wesley frowned, and his complexion changed.
Harriet's soft hands wandered restlessly on him.
"Wesley, are you listening to me?"
"..."
Wesley got his sense back suddenly, intending to push Harriet away.
She still climbed on him, "Ah-Wesley..."
The woman voice on the other side of the phone broke for a moment and soon came the irresistible
blame, "Wesley, what are you doing?"
"Louisa."
"Stop talking and come back right away and give me an explanation!"
The call hung up.
Wesley's eyebrows were twisted into a three huge lines and he finally got rid of her, saying impatiently,
"What is wrong with you?"
Harriet was leaning against the wall. She had lost her interest to bully him, but her lips still showed her
usual smile. "Didn't you want me? Why you asked me instead?"
"Harriet, a woman who plays tricks in front of me always ends up in disaster."
Wesley looked at her without feeling, then packed his clothes and strode out.
The hypocritical smile on Harriet's face finally broken down as Wesley left. She leaned her head on the
partition and laughed at herself.
Harriet, what are you doing?
Didn't you only exchange your body with his money from the beginning, and now you want him love
you? Don't be too greedy. You are just an ordinary girl!
Harriet took a deep breath and put on a smile when she came back to the room.
"Sorry, I have been absent for a long time."
The men in the box looked at each other and waved their hands fast. They looked panic, "Ah? It's all
right."
"Miss Clark, don't drink anymore and I will let the waiter give you a cup of tea."
"Tea?" Harriet stunned for a moment.
Henry made a cramped face and stumbled,
"Yes...the temperature is too low. Please put on your jacket, Miss Clark."
"Henry, that does not matter. I haven't finished my wine."
"No, please do not drink more. Mr. Smith told us before he left that you are not well and should not
drink wine."
Harriet finally knew the reason why the men changed their attitude.
Wesley was busy with other things but still asked someone to take care of her before his leaving.
