Chapter 49 Confrontation
Chapter 49 Confrontation
“I have no grievances with you. Why come to make a hard time for me, Mr. Steven?” Patrick squinted
and smiled. Sitting opposite Steven, he glanced at Viola next to him and calmly looked at the monitor.
Steven put a hand on Viola's shoulder and said with a sneer, “Cut the crap, where is she?”
“Who?” Patrick played dumb.
When Viola was to speak, Steven held her hand and gave her a look, indicating her he would deal with
it.
With a slight smile, Steven pointed his index finger at the table and said, “You must be very well paid to
serve my eldest brother.”
Patrick did not move at all and smiled even more deeply. “I don't know what you are talking about. How
would a businessman like me dare claim to have any ties with Mr. Charles? Mr. Steven, if you are idle,
you can have fun here. But if you come to make a scene, don't blame me for being ruthless.”
“You don't know?”
Steven asked in reply. The dim light of the casino was cast on him, reflecting the sharpness in his
deep-set eyes, which made people feel the repressiveness in the air.
“Do you suppose that if dozens of bodies hidden under the turf of your horse farm are uncovered
tonight, Charles would blame you for the crime?”
Steven's words struck Patrick like a bolt of lightning, and his smile froze.
Not only Patrick, but also Viola was stunned. She had thought that Steven would get Sucy out by brute
force, but she was obviously wrong. Steven had an ace in the hole! But the question was, how did he
know such secret information?
And the guy looking at the surveillance screen went black on his face.
Patrick was scared, cold sweat came from his pores, and sweat were visible on his forehead.
Patrick crossed ten fingers under the table, “Mr. Steven, think twice before you say that. It is a matter of
life and death. I dare not take the blame.”
“You are bold.” Steven smiled and shook his head. “Can you guess if I can nail Charles's murder
charge with these dozens of dead bodies?”
“What do you mean? I... I don't understand...” Patrick really did not understand his meaning. He was
under extreme tension for his secret had been found and his brain almost broke down.
Patrick subconsciously took a look at the surveillance camera, if it got exposed, he might be killed by
Charles.
He was in a dilemma, and clearly Steven was the opposite of good-for-nothing like Charles had told
him.
Steven glanced at the camera, then looked at Patrick's fat face with a pitying look. A deepening smile
was on his lips and a deep voice sounded like a demon whisper. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“I mean, Watson Group is mine, the Shaws Group and Watson Group are going to join hands, so the
Chambers Group will be under threat. You're just Charles's dog. I know my psycho brother well. He
won’t give up the Chambers Group for a dog.”
“Don't worry, to make sure everything is all right, all your family will be killed too.”
“So hurry up and hand her over, and I'll have mercy. If it's too late, you can do nothing.”
The man staring at the monitoring screen was still calm, but his eyes flashed a hint of anger. Steven
was really a Wolf! He should have killed Steven sooner! Now he dared confront Patrick in front of him!
