Chapter 64
Unice’s PoV
Tom and I arrived at the convenience store. I unbuckle my seatbelt and exit the vehicle. When I entered the store, the old man, who I knew, smiled.
“Welcome back. How are you? You haven’t been here in a long time.” I approached the counter after being greeted by the old man.
“I’d like to purchase a pregnancy test,” I asked, and he was taken aback by what I had just said.
“Are you experiencing pregnancy symptoms?” The old man interrogates me, and I notice Tom has not entered the store.
“I didn’t take a birth control pill, you know what I mean?” I inquired, and he nodded before handing me a pregnancy test.
“You should monitor yourself in two weeks. Suppose you miss your period, have nausea or fatigue, or feel sick. In that case, you should take the test you purchased today and consult an Obstetrician-Gynecologist.” I listened to the old man’s advice and paid him.
“Thank you for informing me; I had no idea, but I will do as you advised,” I respond to him, and he nods as I leave his store.
“Are you pregnant? Is the boss going to become a father?” Seeing a pregnancy test kit in the plastic bag, Tom was taken aback.
“I haven’t taken a test yet; I’ll observe myself in two weeks. Ace is aware of this, so don’t be concerned.” I assured him before opening the car door.
“Let’s go,” I said, and he got into the car; he started the engine, and I grabbed my phone. Ace texted me.
From: Ace
I’m at work right now, and I’m worried about you. I know you went to the convenience store to buy a pregnancy test; have you taken one yet?
To: Ace
After observing myself for two weeks, I will take the test; after that, I will need to see an Obstetrician-Gynecologist.
From: Ace
I think I’m just excited; if you’re pregnant, I’ll plan our wedding once the pregnancy is confirmed.
I didn’t respond to Ace’s message because I was afraid that if the wedding didn’t happen, Ace would be in jail if Christian found out about his father’s death and Ace was the culprit.
“Are you all right, Miss Unice? I can feel the boss texting you,” Tom inquired as he drove.
“He was just worried about me; if I’m pregnant, I’m afraid this child will grow up without his father,” I replied, and for a brief moment, he was speechless.
“What makes you think that?” Tom was curious.
“You are aware that Ace committed a crime? If the cops find out, he’ll be in jail, and I’m not sure if it’ll be for life,” I explained to him as he continued to drive.
“We knew this would happen someday. Ace told us to take care of you and protect you, and we will help you with his business that he will leave for you if that time comes,” Tom explained as I looked out the car window.
“I hope he gets parole so he can meet his child,” I added, and when we arrived at the house, I unbuckled the seat belt and exited the car.
I entered the house and went to my room, where I placed the plastic bag above the bed and sat down. When I picked up my phone, I saw Ace had texted me because I hadn’t responded to his message earlier in the car.
From: Ace
What happens? You didn’t respond to my message; did something happen between you two?
From: Ace
If you respond to this message, I will call you.
To: Ace
I’m perfectly fine. I arrived home safely.
I saw an incoming call after I texted that, so I answered it immediately.
[I can’t believe you didn’t respond to my message; thank goodness you’re okay,] I heard Ace say without greeting me.
“I apologize for not responding to your message; I was just thinking about something.” I apologized to him, and he responded immediately.
[What exactly are you thinking? Are you concerned that I might be caught while working at my company?] Ace questioned me, which surprised me.
“Don’t say that like you’re not afraid of getting caught,” I boasted to him, and he laughed.
[I’ve already told you I’m prepared; don’t think about my situation; think about how you’re feeling right now.] Ace clarified, and all I could do was sigh.
I advised him, “You should be working right now; I’ll end the call, and we’ll talk when you’re finished.”
[Fine, but after you finish this call, I’ll send you something,] Ace replied. I hung up the phone, picked up the plastic bag, and placed it in the drawer here in my room.
After the call, Ace sent me a picture of his big dick, which made me laugh for a while.
I’m hungry. I look at the wall clock, and it’s already 11 a. m. I think I’ll cook something so Tom and Justin can also eat lunch.
I left my room and walked over to the kitchen; I believe the two were outside, and after I finished fixing things inside the house, I began to prepare to cook. I go to the refrigerator to get the ingredients.
I finished cooking after a few minutes and went outside to summon the two.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
“Let’s go eat our lunch; I’m sure you two are hungry too.” I approached them, and they looked at me.
“Thank you very much, Miss Unice!” Justin thanked me as they entered the house, smelling the food I had prepared.
“Wow, this is delicious! Let’s get started!” Justin said he sat down, and I sat down as well, and I began to eat alongside them, discussing what Ace was doing at the company as they shared their stories with me.
After we finished our meal, the two stood up and offered me a glass of water, which I accepted with a smile and drank. I’m packed and satisfied with the food I ate when I notice Tom picking up the plate and placing it in the sink before starting to wash it.
“Thank you very much, Tom.” I thanked him and rose from my seat, heading to the living room while holding my phone.
Turning on the television and choosing a movie to watch because I had nothing else to do in this house. I prefer a comedy film, play it, then place my phone beside me and begin watching.
Laughing at the film, I was watching a good movie, and I heard someone open the door, so I looked outside, but all I saw was a strong wind, and I heard Justin call out to Tom, so it appeared that someone was out.
I stood up from my seat, and as I was about to leave, I noticed four men, whom I believe to be Ace men, taking Edward’s car and bringing it to the basement, where they would remove the plate number and the evidence.
I was concerned that the CCTV camera here was recording Ace murdering Edward. I’ll ask him later when he gets home, so I return to the living room and choose another movie to watch.
I checked my phone first before starting the next movie I was going to watch; there was no text, so I put my phone beside me and began watching the next movie I was going to watch, a fantasy film.
