Domineering Love

Chapter 13 Aileen’s Lover

Chapter 13 Aileen’s Lover

Aileen used to be famous for her gentleness and was quite attractive when she was healthy. Yet now,

Elizabeth detected a tinge of complicated tenderness in her eyes.

Aileen stared at Robert while saying in a soft tone, "Eliza, Mr. Williams is my best friend."

Best friend.

Those two words, like daggers, pierced Elizabeth’s heart mercilessly.

Aileen was even more gentle to this man than to her daughter.

As the daughter of a once-famous social butterfly, Elizabeth knew clearly the complicated meaning of

such a seemingly common word.

Elizabeth originally thought that Robert got close to her because of Marvin. She didn’t expect him to be

her mother’s old acquaintance...

Aileen seemed to have detected Elizabeth’s awkwardness. "Eliza, you can leave for the moment. I

want to talk to Mr. Williams alone."

Elizabeth was stunned, "But mom, I..." NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

Robert interrupted, his tone determined, "Follow her words."

"..."

Elizabeth was driven out of the ward.

She had no way to eavesdrop on their talk since the soundproof door was tightly shut.

The surging suspicion tortured her badly.

Aileen gave birth to her at seventeen and now she was thirty-six. Robert was thirty-two.

Robert was only thirteen years older than herself.

Thirteen years old...

He couldn’t be her biological father. Even so, the tenderness in Aileen’s eyes when she looked at

Robert kept haunting Elizabeth.

...

Before long, Robert walked out before shooting her a cold glance, his voice low. "Come inside. Your

mother wants you."

Elizabeth stepped inside, her face colored by a somewhat sarcastic smile.

She was Aileen’s daughter, but Aileen wanted to talk to this man first. How ironic!

Before the hospital bed.

Aileen took Elizabeth’s hand before sighing, "Eliza, you seem to be leaner."

"No, I’m not." Elizabeth shook her head.

"Are you busy with your homework? Do you still go to work after school?"

Elizabeth shook his head and then nodded. "It’s okay. I do part-time four days a week."

Aileen sighed, "Did Marvin bully you again on the excuse of my medical expenses?"

Slightly shocked, she lied, trying hard to keep composed. "No. As bad-tempered as always, he merely

badmouthed me."

Before Aileen could react, Robert let out a snort in sarcasm.

Elizabeth frowned, pretending not to hear it.

Aileen clutched her hand. "Marvin is not a good guy. He used to pamper you because you were a

young, lovely little girl. No one would do harm to an innocent girl pleasing to his eyes. Now he put all

the blame on me for what the Bennett family has suffered and hopes that I would die early. How could

he treat you well now? Eliza, if Marvin makes you suffer, why not move out?"

Elizabeth froze.

Moved out? Where could she go?

Robert echoed, "I will pay for your mother’s medical fee and take care of you. Move out. I will give you

a house."

With her eyes widened, Elizabeth refused without any hesitation. "No way!"

Robert had been coveting her since they first met. Could it be more obvious? There was no way to put

herself in danger one more time.

Aileen didn’t insist. "You decide. Robert is trustworthy. My disease continues to deteriorate and I may

die at any time. Ask Robert for help if you meet with difficulties."

...

Elizabeth came out of the hospital gloomily and walked forward fast with her head lowered. She passed

by Robert’s Bugatti Veyron and ignored it. Robert quickened his steps to seize her by the back of her

neck and drag her back. "Get in the car," he ordered in a deep voice.

Elizabeth pushed him away. "Not necessary. I’ll go home alone."

Knowing her hostility against him, Robert, with his eyes narrowed, scooped her up in silence before

throwing her into the car.

With the door locked, Elizabeth, who had no chance to escape, kicked the door with annoyance.

Robert scolded her sternly, "Elizabeth, I would spoil you if you were willing to be my girlfriend in the

future. But now, I’m responsible for looking after you on behalf of Aileen. I’m much older than you, so

you must show your respect. Otherwise, don’t blame me for my rudeness."

Elizabeth held her chin high, her eyes full of stubbornness. "How dare you? Who do you think you are?

Stop touting your superiority, mum’s lover!"

Robert’s face darkened, his eyes tinged by gloom.

"Elizabeth, do you know what you are talking about?" He said harshly.

Elizabeth sneered. "Did I say it wrong? Don’t tell me you’re my biological father. You’re amazing

enough to make my mum pregnant when you were only thirteen."

The moment she finished speaking, Robert grabbed her arms to press her against his laps before lifting

her skirt to slap her ass.

Badly blushing, Elizabeth roared with shame, "How dare you hit me?"
