Chapter 73 Exposing Gabriel
Chapter 73 Exposing Gabriel
I hung up the phone, took a taxi, and rushed to her home.
About half an hour later, I arrived at Evie's house. By this time, she was already back.
I opened the door and walked in. I saw Evie washing fruits in a good mood. Gabriel was sitting on the
sofa in the living room.
When I saw the jerk, my anger immediately surged up. How did he dare to come here now!
Just as I was about to lose my temper, Evie saw me and hurriedly greeted me. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
"Hollie, you're back. Hurry up and have some fruits. I bought a lot on the way home."
Evie walked to my side, pulled on my arm, and walked into the kitchen.
At this moment, Gabriel also saw me. He looked at me with triumph and provocation in his eyes.
I was pulled into the house by Evie. I pointed at Gabriel, who was sitting on the sofa, and looked at
Evie, holding back my anger.
"Why is he here? Didn't I say I have something important to tell you? Why did you bring him home?"
I was going to tell Evie that Gabriel was a scumbag. How was I supposed to tell her with him here?
"Hollie. Gabriel and I are now the closest people to each other. You can say anything to us."
Now, Evie was completely open to Gabriel and had completely given herself to him.
I was a little distressed. I had a lot of things to say, but I didn't know how to begin. Also, she might not
believe me if I told her now.
"Evie, don't be too naive, okay? Do you know that Gabriel is a scumbag?"
I couldn't control the anger in my heart. Pointing at Gabriel, I shouted at Evie.
She didn't expect that I would suddenly get angry, so she was obviously stunned. When she came back
to her senses, she looked at me with some displeasure.
"Hollie, what are you talking about? How can you say that about Gabriel? He is my boyfriend now!"
It was also the first time she had spoken like that to me.
"Evie, this Gabriel is not a good guy. Don't be fooled by him. Do you know that he's cheating on you,
and he has slept with other women!"
I didn't care whether Evie would get angry at me or not. I still decided to tell her what I knew. She was
going to find out sooner or later anyway. If she found out now, it would save her a lot of suffering.
Hearing my words, Evie frowned and glared at me.
We had been good friends for a long time, so even though she wasn't happy with what I said, she was
still suspicious.
She frowned and looked at Gabriel with suspicion in her eyes.
Gabriel stood up anxiously when he saw that my words worked on Evie. "Evie, I don't know what your
friend is talking about. Why is she framing me? I truly love you, and you know that pretty well."
There was determination in Gabriel's eyes. He looked at Evie with deep affection. Evie loved him very
much now, so she would naturally believe him. But I saw the panic in his eyes.
"But why did Hollie say you are cheating on me? She's my best friend."
I could see that Evie was shaken by his words. Although she would not doubt me, at this moment, she
trusted Gabriel more.
"Evie, are you suspecting me? I am your boyfriend. How can you trust an outsider?"
Perhaps he didn't expect my words to affect Evie, Gabriel became a little flustered.
Seeing that there was still suspicion in Evie's eyes, Gabriel suddenly turned to look at me with anger in
his eyes.
"Miss Hunter, I have no enmity with you. Why are you framing me like this? Evie and I really love each
other. Why are you making up such a story to destroy our relationship?"
Every word that Gabriel said to me was full of interrogation. I looked at him coldly with sarcasm in my
eyes.
He was obviously guilty now, but he still pretended to be a victim and questioned me. This man was
really thick-skinned.
"You know best whether I'm framing you and ruining your relationship or not. Gabriel Austin, I've told
you before that I will not let you hurt Evie!"
I didn't show any sign of weakness and fought back. I had already offended Gabriel, so I decided to say
what I needed to say. I needed to let Evie see this man's real personality.
"Miss Hunter, you've gone too far. I really like Evie. How can I betray her? I don't know why you're
framing me like this, but Evie is your friend. Won't you feel guilty if you ruin our relationship like this?"
Gabriel pretended to be calm. If I hadn't met him or heard another woman on his bed over the phone,
I'd have believed him. I'd have thought I was lying too.
I frowned and looked at Gabriel coldly, feeling that it was ridiculous. It was he who had done something
wrong to Evie, but now he was accusing me. He really was the worst of the worst.
"Evie, I just don't want you to be betrayed like me. This Gabriel is really a jerk. Don't believe his words."
I didn't want to argue with Gabriel. After I looked at him angrily, I turned my eyes to Evie again.
At this moment, Evie looked at me and Gabriel with a conflicted expression. She didn't know who to
believe.
I looked at her seriously and felt a little anxious. I was worried that Evie would be cheated by Gabriel.
This kind of jerk could really do anything.
"Evie, don't believe her. I really love you. I really want to be with you."
Gabriel was afraid that Evie would believe me, so he quickly grabbed her hand and looked at her
anxiously.
Evie looked at him. They were both silent for a long while. I knew that once a woman fell in love with a
man, most of the time they would choose to believe the man even if they knew he was lying.
I had felt like this before too, and I knew that Evie was feeling the same right now. I only believed
Vaughn was cheating on me when I saw him and Laney having sex.
However, Evie was different from me. She only heard me say that. Even if she wasn't sure, she would
still choose to trust Gabriel.
Once a woman gave her true feelings, she would never turn back. Even if his words were only a
fraction of the truth, she would choose to believe it without hesitation.
Sure enough, Evie's next reaction completely fulfilled my guess.
She turned around to look at me. Her beautiful brows were tightly knitted and her eyes were filled with
displeasure.
"Hollie. I know that you have been betrayed once. You're traumatized and you think that men cannot be
trusted. But Gabriel is not Vaughn, I know he would never betray me."
In the end, Evie still chose to trust Gabriel. That was expected, but I didn't expect her to reopen my old
scars by mentioning Vaughn. I was upset.
