Chapter 8 They Were Not Worthy
Chapter 8 They Were Not Worthy
"Evie, what do you think I should do now?" NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
I looked out of the window blankly, and my eyes became confused.
"Vaughn has been everything to me for so many years. Everything I have is around him, and now I
don't have him. I feel that I have lost all my motivation. I don't know what I am living for now.
"Hollie, he's just a scumbag. It's better that you found out now. It'll be too late if you find out after you
get married."
Evie sat beside me and gave me a comforting hug. I could see the heartache in her eyes.
"But my heart still hurts..."
I hugged Evie tightly. My tears had already dried up in the past few days, but the pain in my heart
would not disappear no matter how hard I tried.
"Hollie, you will definitely forget that jerk, and you will definitely find a man who is thousands of times
better than that jerk. Then he will regret it!"
Evie looked into my eyes and said firmly.
I'm glad that I still have a good friend by my side. If she hadn't comforted me and encouraged me, I
really wouldn't have survived until now.
"Get up, change your clothes and put on some make-up. Let's go shopping and vent our anger today.
After today, let that scumbag named Vaughn completely disappear from your life!"
Evie dragged me out of bed and forced me to change my clothes and put on make-up.
I followed Evie to a shopping mall nearby and strolled through the women's clothing area.
I heard that this building was under Vaughn's company. When I thought that it had something to do with
Vaughn, I instinctively wanted to resist, but I was held back by Evie.
I knew that Evie wanted to help me get rid of the trauma, so although I really didn't want to go, I
relented and didn't leave.
I strolled aimlessly through the women's clothing area. Soon, Evie's arms were filled with things she
bought. I did not buy anything because I was not in the mood for shopping right now.
Suddenly, I saw a man and a woman not far away. It was Vaughn and Laney. My heart ached, and I
turned around hastily and dragged Hollie away.
"Hollie, where are you dragging me to? I haven't finished shopping yet."
Evie didn't see the two people not far away. She was a little upset with my actions.
"Evie, let's go somewhere else. I don't want to be here anymore."
I turned my back to the two people who are walking towards me. I don't want them to realize I was
there.
With her brows tightly knitted together, she looked at me in confusion. Perhaps she didn't understand
why I suddenly became so abnormal.
Just as she was about to say something, the two people discovered me.
"Hollie, it's such a coincidence to run into you here. I didn't expect you to get over the break-up so
soon. It's only been a few days and you're already in the mood to go shopping."
Laney's triumphant and sarcastic voice came to myears.
It would be a lie to say that I wasn't upset by what she said, but I would never show my sadness in front
of these b*tches. They were not worthy.
Seeing Vaughn and Laney, Evie finally understood why I tried to drag her away.
She walked in front of me and protected me behind her.
"I wondered who you were, and then I realised you're the homewrecker! How does it feel to destroy
someone's happiness?"
