Chapter 53 Lonely
Chapter 53 Lonely
In the lounge, Abby Miller sat by the bed in a daze, lost in thought.
If Richard Scott insisted on meeting Nancy Lee, she should be happy. If they succeeded, maybe she
would be free?
But why... But she suddenly became unhappy.
Why? What kind of place was wrong?
Abby Miller bit her lip gently, puzzled.
At this moment, Richard Scott pushed open the lounge door and walked in.
She looked up at him. Sure enough, his face was gloomy, and there seemed to be a storm in his eyes.
Abby Miller was a little scared and wanted to retreat, but she still asked hesitantly, "Mr. Scott, are you
okay?"
Richard Scott did not speak. He merely sat down beside her.
After a while, he said lightly, "I'm fine."
He turned his head to look at Abby Miller beside him and said softly, "Come with me somewhere later."
At dusk, Richard Scott drove to the Villa District in the suburbs of Great City with Abby Miller.
The villas here were all in European architectural style and covered a wide area. On a large area of
green lawn, milky white lamps were shining gently like pearls.
Through the delicate carved iron gate, one could see a sculpture fountain in the middle of the
courtyard. Beads of water fell from the air a few meters high, turning into different colors under the
surrounding lights.
How magnificent!
Compared with the Imperial Villa in the downtown area, the villa here was hundreds of times more
luxurious!
"Mr. Scott, what are we doing here?"
When the car stopped in front of one of the villas, Abby Miller asked curiously.
"This... is where my mother used to live."
Richard Scott’s words were like gold. He pressed the horn twice at the same time and the metal door
decorated with luxurious patterns slowly opened.
Abby Miller was slightly stunned.
This was the first time she had heard him mention his mother!
Previously, Abby Miller only knew that Richard Scott had a bad relationship with Old Master, but he did
not know about his mother at all.
Of course, Abby Miller didn't dare ask more. But at this moment, when she heard him mention it, she
didn't know why... She always felt that Richard Scott's tone was a little sad!
Just as Abby Miller was lost in her thoughts, the car finally stopped at the entrance of the main villa.
Richard Scott got out of the car and she quickly followed in.
This villa was a three-story building. The first floor was an empty living room with a large area. Long
crystal lamps hung down from the ceiling five or six meters high, shining brightly.
Two rows of uniformed servants stood neatly on both sides of the hall, standing in front of Leo.
Seeing the two of them coming in from outside the door, Leo took a step forward, stretched out his
hand with white gloves, and saluted. "Young Master, you are here."
All the servants also bowed and shouted in unison, "Hello, Young Master and Young Madam."
Abby Miller's hair stood on end. Should they be so serious?
She leaned against Richard Scott uneasily, trying her best to suppress the urge to hide behind him.
Sure enough, she was still not used to such a rich and powerful family.
She stole a glance at Richard Scott beside her. What was he bringing her here for?
Richard Scott did not look uncomfortable at all. He nodded to everyone and then asked Leo in a deep
voice, "Leo, is dinner ready?"
"Young Master, it's ready."
Leo stretched out his hand and led the way to the dining room.
Abby Miller bit her lip gently and tried her best to straighten her back, following behind Richard Scott.
The dining room was still very big. There were exquisite oil paintings on the wall, and there were all
kinds of drinks in the cabinet next to it.
The dining table was a long dining table with candles on the silver candlestick. The dishes were very
sumptuous and there were a lot of them. However, only Richard Scott and Abby Miller were eating.
The two of them sat at such a large dining table, which made the whole restaurant more spacious.
Although Abby Miller was a foodie, she lost interest in the environment. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Was this Richard Scott's real life? He ate the most expensive dishes, drank the highest-quality wine,
lived in the most luxurious room, and wore the best custom-made clothes, but there was nothing else in
the house except the servants. What was there to be happy about?
She sat quietly in her seat and buried herself in eating.
Richard Scott did not speak either. The dining room was completely silent.
After a long while, Richard Scott suddenly said, "In the future, we will live here."
Abby Miller raised her head in shock and looked at Richard Scott, who was a little far away from her.
"I've asked someone to pack up your luggage and bring it here. After dinner, you can go to the room to
pack up."
There was no expression on Richard Scott's face, but Abby Miller felt that his voice was cold.
"But, Mr. Scott, isn't the original place good? Why did we move here? Besides, it's not convenient for
me to go to school..."
Abby Miller looked at him in confusion. She always felt that Richard Scott was a little strange today.
"Why not? Do you have any opinion on my decision?" Richard Scott looked at her coldly.
"No."
Abby Miller quickly shook her head. Richard was about to transform. She must not provoke him.
After the two of them finished their dinner in silence, Richard Scott got up and went upstairs.
Abby Miller was taken to the bedroom by the servants and began to sort out her luggage.
She hung up all the clothes in the wardrobe one by one and placed the commonly used items in the
usual place.
After cleaning up, she took a shower in the bathroom.
After taking a shower, she found that Richard Scott had gone somewhere and had not appeared yet.
This was just in time to prevent him from giving her cold air and putting pressure on her.
Since Richard was not around, Abby Miller felt relaxed all over, and she was also interested in looking
around.
It was such a grand villa, and the decoration was so high-end. Since she was here, she should look
around and see if there was anything fun.
With her hands behind her back, she jumped up and down to have a look.
As soon as she reached the stairs on the third floor, she heard the sound of piano drifting down the
stairs.
The sound of the piano, like a blue river, flowed high and low stones, carrying sadness and longing,
slowly flowing into the distance.
Abby Miller stood on the stairs and listened quietly for a while.
She heard a lonely heart in the music, just like herself, full of longing.
Abby Miller quietly walked up to the third floor and followed the sound of the piano to the end of the
corridor.
In a room at the end of the corridor, the door was half-open, and a tall figure was sitting in front of the
piano.
Abby Miller could see his side profile, his tall nose, his thin lips, his cold lines, and outline... It was
Richard Scott playing the piano!
At this moment, Richard Scott was completely different from his usual cold and domineering CEO
image. His slender fingers danced nimbly on the keys of the black and white zither, and his eyelashes
drooped slightly, covering his usual cold and sharp eyes.
His perfect face was full of loneliness, as if he had been forgotten by the world.
