Enchanted Nightfall: Falling for Destiny

Chapter 326

As soon as Sean heard about money, he quickly asked, "What way?"

Quintessa spread her hands wide and slowly laid it out.

After hearing it, Sean shook his head vigorously. "No way, I can't do that. Everyone knows that that man is a freak."

Quintessa scoffed, "You're willing to give up your wife and daughter, but not your sister. Man, I never realized what a stand-up brother you are!"

She shrugged, "Anyway, I've told you the way. Whether you take the money or not, it's up to you. You don't seriously think that Tyrone pumping 100 million into your company means the money's yours, do you? Don't be so naive. In the end, the company will just be his, and you'll have survived the crisis only to end up broke. I'm telling you a quick way to riches. Do you want to spend the rest of your life in poverty, sleeping on the streets, or live a life of luxury? It's your choice."

With that, Quintessa turned and walked away.

Sean stood alone in place for a long time.

Money. He was out of money. Was he really going to spend the rest of his life like a homeless man, picking up scraps on the streets at his age?

He had already given up his wife and daughter. Was his sister really that important? This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Quintessa stepped into the elevator, and just before the doors closed, Manny squeezed in, panting.

Manny didn't dare to look at Quintessa.

"I heard everything just now."

"Sis, I don't know if this will help." Manny pulled out a voice recorder from his pocket, one that Quintessa usually kept in her bag. He had recorded the entire conversation between Quintessa and Sean. Quintessa raised an eyebrow and patted Manny. "Not bad, kid. You're getting smart."

Manny swallowed nervously. "Don't worry, sis. I won't say anything. I didn't hear anything."

"Next time, just stay away from it."

"Oh."

"Go home. You have the day off tomorrow."

"Thanks, sis. I'll go now."

Manny left, and Quintessa entered the room. Its interior was luxurious, with handmade wool carpets on the floor that made no sound when walked upon.

Quintessa kicked off her shoes, sat on the carpet with her back against the bed, and stared blankly at a painting on the wall.

She had done everything-illegal things, morally reprehensible things. By any normal standard, she was probably beyond redemption.

But if she hadn't, was she supposed to just watch them get away with it, to continue living happily as a family? Why should she? Others could forget her mother's death, but how could she?

Sean and the others were murderers. She knew it. If she did nothing, how could she deserve to be her mother's daughter? People aren't born crazy.

Quintessa knew that someone like her probably wouldn't end well, but she didn't need to consider that. It was like a line from a movie she ce saw: Forgiving them is God's job. My job is to send them to Him.

Quintessa picked up her phone and made a call.

"Help me check all of Sean's accounts including those under fake identities. Find out where all the money he's swallowed up has gone. It would be best to have solid

evidence. Thanks."

The person on the other end said something, and Quintessa's lipsm curved into a faint smile. "I'm doing a fine. Things are going smoothly. Goodbye, I miss you too."
