Chapter 152: Having a Finger in Every Pie

Chapter 152: Having a Finger in Every Pie

Cathy took the bag and turned to the kitchen. Aaron lay on the sofa and looked at Rory. His eyes were slightly deep. He quickly turned away.

It was not to long that Cathy came out of the kitchen, brought out two bowls of noodles, put them on the table of living room, looked around, and did not find Rory. She was startled, "Where is he?" "Oh, that gentleman went out to answer the phone." Aaron looked at the door.

Cathy no longer asked, but also brought out another bowl of noodles, handed him the tableware, and smiled, "I cooked a little more. Eat together."

Aaron frowned slightly and sat up. He said shyly, "Cathy, sorry to have troubled you so much."

"Knowing that is a trouble, don't do such silly things next time. Fortunately, I'm here. Otherwise I don't know what will happen." Cathy blamed him, sat down with chopsticks and stirred the noodles. After a while, she looked up at the door.

Aaron followed her eyes and looked at it. Suddenly, he was curious and said, "Cathy, what friend is that gentleman of yours? He is so cold without any expression for a long time."

Cathy's expression was slightly stiff. She bent her head drinking the soup and laughed perfunctorily. "Just an ordinary friend. He comes with me to visit here."Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

How many expressions could a security guard have? She has seen him so many times and his looks were always same. Maybe his job was to pretend to be cool. She didn't care much, but Rory had more expressions than Tyrone.

Aaron smiled. "I thought you took a bodyguard when you went out, Cathy. It is cool."

"I am not a rich person." Cathy pulled a guilty smile on her lips, stirred her noodles and changed the topic quietly. "If you need more, there were noodle in the pot. I'll help you buy some more goods when we leave. You have a good rest at home in the next two days."

Aaron, "... I'm sorry, Cathy, for causing you so much trouble."

Cathy curved her lips, reached out hand and patted him on the shoulder. Her voice was soft and lively. "We are very imitate. You helped me, and I naturally won't leave you alone."

Aaron immediately showed a grateful expression and said in a low and serious manner, "Then you should take good care of yourself. I am not in the company. No one will cover up your pregnancy. You should be careful yourself."

Cathy could not laugh or cry, but she solemnly promised, "Okay, I'll be careful."

Because in the company, only he now knew about her pregnancy. So every time when she couldn't do something, he rushed to the front to cover up. It was really a lot of hard work for him.

There was a sound at the door. It was Rory who came back and interrupted their conversation.

Cathy smiled lightly and said, "Rory, I cooked more noodles, and you can eat a little too. We will leave in a moment."

Rory was shocked and wanted to refuse, but when he saw Cathy's deep eyes, he stooped down and sat down. "Thank you."

After a simple meal, Cathy was afraid to go back too late. She took care of Aaron and confirmed that he would be OK again. She went away with Rory.

It was getting later and later. The car was driving smoothly on the high speed. Cathy was awakened by a telephone when she, tired and sitting behind him, was almost falling asleep.

She yawned, rubbed her sleepy tearful eyes, looked at the notes and pressed the button to connect.

The thick nasal voice was very hoarse, "Hello."

"Very tired?" The man's low voice showed his concern.

Cathy sat up lazily, leaned against the door, yawned again, and said, "I am fine. What's the matter?"

After a day's tossing and turning, even if she was not pregnant, she still felt tired. Besides, she still was pregnant now. So many things have happened today. She was really tired at this time, but it was useless to talk to him about this.

"Rory told me everything." The man said calmly.

Cathy stunned for a few seconds, subconsciously looking at Rory, who was driving seriously in front of her, and then pouted her lips. "You don't seem to want to protect me. You want to watch me, do you?" "Cathy, this is not a trivial matter. You have to take it to heart." Tyrone's voice showed his worries. "But you don't have to panic. I'll deal with it."

Cathy closed her eyes, and opened her eyes to see the night outside of the window, and wore a light smile. "Mr. Raman, I'll take my business to heart. It's none of your business. Don't waste your time. Besides, let Rory go back tomorrow. I'll be careful myself."

"No, I won't negotiate with you, and I won't promise you." The man refused clearly and firmly, but his voice was still quiet. "Somebody wants your life. It must because of your dad. They will never give up easily."

Cathy's face was getting cold and her eyes darkened.
