Chapter 88: A Fever
Chapter 88: A Fever
Cathy forgot that she was still pregnant. After running around all day and drinking, how could she be fine?
On the way back, sitting in a taxi with four people, Cathy gradually felt her head sinking in this narrow and confined place.
She was half asleep and half awake with her head leaning to one side. The phone on her had rung for a long time but she didn't hear it. Aaron sitting in the back seat found something wrong, leaning his body forward to push her gently. "Cathy. Cathy."
She didn't respond.
Nick became worried." Is she asleep?"
Aaron frowned and suddenly said in a low voice. "There is something wrong. Stop the car!"
The driver was also startled by him, turned on the direction light in a hurry, parked the car on the side of the road. "What is the matter?"
As soon as the car stopped, Aaron opened the door and got off. Nick froze, and hurried to check Cathy, "Cathy!'
"
Aaron's face was taut. He opened the door of passenger seat. After touching her forehead and her wrist, he found her burning badly. "Cathy!" Nick was still calling her name.
"Stop yelling, she has a fever!"
"A fever?" Nick was surprised for he didn't see anything wrong with her during the day. How did she suddenly...just because she drank at night?
But it was too late to think too much. He pushed the driver's seat and said anxiously. "Please send us to the nearest hospital."
While Cathy's phone was still vibrating, Aaron frown but ignored it. He sat back in the car. "Please faster!"
"All right, you hold on tight." The driver said, stepping on the accelerator. The car drove out so fast.
A few minutes later, the car stopped in front of the hospital.
As soon as the car stopped, Aaron opened the door, picked Cathy up and walked quickly inside. Nick was left stunned. He hurriedly paid the money to the driver, picked up Cathy's bag and followed Aaron.
In the hallway of the hospital, Nick saw Aaron following medical workers toward the emergency room. He just wanted to catch up then he heard the phone vibrating in Cathy's bag again.
As her assistant, it was not the first time to pick up manager's phone. So he didn't hesitate to take it out. He saw there was just phone number on the screen then he got on the phone.
It was the next morning when Cathy woke up.
The blush on her face became pale because of the alcohol. Her lips were white. She looked bad. Compared with yesterday, as if she turned in another person. Taken off her loose clothes, she seemed emaciated a lot.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the man sitting by the bed wiping her hands with a towel. He was lowering his head and wiped her hands softly.
His concentrated appearance struck her heartstrings.
She stared at him for a while. Suddenly, her nerve seems to be stimulated. It seemed that she found out something. She looked around and suddenly sat up. Is this a hospital?
Why was she in the hospital?
Her babies!
Her face became white and she lowered her head and touched her belly.
"They are fine."
Tyrone was also startled. Then he relaxed and held her arms.
It seemed like she didn't say a word for a long time, her voice was extremely hoarse and vaguely anxious.
Cathy was still confused and looked at him. "What is wrong with me?"
The man's face suddenly changed, gloomy, but not angry with her. He just said coldly. "A fever. "
She had a fever?
Cathy frowned and tried to remember what happened last night. But she couldn't remember anything.
She got out of the hotel, went back with Aaron and Nick and then...
She pressed between her eyebrows. Her face suddenly changed. "What about them?
Did they send her to...
"I told them to go back to the hotel first."
Cathy's heart suddenly sank. She looked bad. "Did they recognize you?"
The words she had said made Tyrone burst out the anger that he had been restraining all night. His face grew colder and his jaw was tightened. He suddenly held her shoulders and lowered his voice to speak her name really slowly. "Cathy Lawson, not until you make your babies abort can you realize you are pregnant? "
At this point, the first thing she worried about was if their relationship was discovered.
She could tell anyone about her marriage, but couldn't let anyone find out her ex-husband.
She could have asked for help from him, but she never did. He knew that if her assistant had not answered the phone, she would never mention anything from last night to this moment to him.
Tyrone did not know what actually he cared about. He knew her stubbornness, knew that the thing happened last night was not her fault, and he had no right to ask about it in his current status. But he still felt more and more annoyed.
"I..." Even though there was no fierce speech, the man's cold expression made Cathy speechless. Besides, it was her fault. If something did happen to her babies, she would never forgive herself.
The only thing she couldn't understand was that why he was mad.
Did he care about her?
Or because she almost lost babies.
She pressed her lips and kept silent for a long time. Finally she admitted her mistake in a low voice. "I was careless. I am sorry."Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
After all, he was the father of the babies. There was nothing wrong that he cared about the babies. It didn't matter if he didn't know this. Since he knew it, he must be afraid for her behavior. He did have rights to get angry.
Tyrone's pupils shrank, as if he was surprised that she would apologize. And rage surging in his heart was also subsided in half. What he was going to say was stuck in his throat and all he could do was to stare at her silently.
It was quiet.
Being started, Cathy felt guilty. She did not want to argue with him, raise her head to meet his constricted gaze and whispered. "I am hungry."
Tyrone sat still. It seemed that his anger was not subsided. His handsome face was still gloomy.

She had already admitted her mistake. What else did he want? It was an accident and she didn't know exactly what happened.
She was fine during the day. She didn't have a fever or cough, and she just drank a glass of wine at night.
Thinking about it, she even felt wronged.
