Fated For Lycan's Luna

Chapter 129

Chapter 129

Chloe's POV

Cold wind blew on my face as Caleb moved fast. Behind us, I could feel the numerous enemies

running after us. Yet, Caleb was able to outrun them.

‘He’s moving fast…’ I thought as my body was still paralyzed from the impact of using Aurora’s powers.

‘Among everyone I know… it seems like only Blake and Teacher Astor move as fast as him…’

‘Could it be that Caleb is also… the alpha of his pack?’ I weakly knitted my brows. ‘Is that the reason

why he is doing his best, even risking his life, to find survivors of his pack?’

“D*mn it!” I heard him curse before he took a sharp turn to the left. “Hey… did you pass out? Where am

I suppose to go?” I heard him say.

I blinked once, my exhausted mind trying to understand what he said. A second later, I told him with a

weak voice, “Turn left and then left…”

“At the corner… there is a hidden passage…” I softly whispered to him. Right away, Caleb’s body

moved and followed my direction. Taking the hidden routes, bit by bit we gained distance between us

and the enemies. Until a minute later when I could no longer feel anyone nearby. Caleb was even able

to trick the enemies on taking the opposite direction from us.

“I think we lost them,” Caleb said before stopping for a moment and hiding at the back of a tree trunk.

“So what’s the plan? Do you still want to try and save your members?” He asked with a hushed tone.

I looked at him and took a deep breath. Then, I said, “I already did…”

“I managed to save some of them… Right now… they are waiting at the cave…’ I told him. Caleb

looked at me, his eyes were sparkled with amazement.

“You already got them?” He raised his brows. “Also, I thought that you didn’t have a wolf? How come

you were in your wolf form when I saw you? And even a white wolf?” His smile turned into a smirk.

“I also thought that you aren’t coming to help me. How come... you’re here?” I asked with a weak voice.

Upon hearing my words, Caleb’s eyes turned serious as he replied, “You charged here alone in the

middle of your enemies to try and save your members. Knowing that, how could I stay still?”

“Anyway, I think the enemies are far enough. Should we try to meet your members now?”

A few minutes later, Caleb and I finally reached the entrance of the hidden cave. As I stepped inside,

an overwhelming sensation washed over me—the undeniable connection I shared with every member

of the pack. With each passing step, the bond grew stronger, resonating deep within my heart. It was

as if my very essence was aflame, ignited by the presence of my pack.

To my surprise, Vanessa, Lisa, Allan, and all the others displayed a similar reaction. Their expressions

turned dumbstruck as they locked eyes with me, the shock evident on their faces. But as the realization

sank in, their astonishment transformed into joy, though it was quickly overshadowed by a profound

sense of shame.

Even without a single word spoken, I could read the expressions on their faces with absolute clarity.

Shame hung heavy in the air as they grappled with the realization of how they had mistreated and

inflicted immense pain upon their true Alpha. Among them, Allan, Vanessa, and Lisa wore the most

conspicuous looks of guilt and remorse.

Allan's face registered initial shock before the weight of shame and regret settled in his eyes. Vanessa,

on the other hand, appeared defeated and bitter, a reflection of the consequences of her misguided

actions. As for Lisa, her pale complexion betrayed her overwhelming fear, as if she were on the verge

of fainting from the sheer fright of the situation.

Surprisingly, a sense of calm enveloped my heart as I observed their troubled countenances. Deep

within, I found myself lacking the surge of emotions that one might expect. Instead, weariness and

exhaustion permeated my being, weighing me down. I broke our eye contact and averted my gaze,

aware of my weakened state as I remained cradled in Caleb's arms.

In that fleeting moment, as my eyes grew heavy and my consciousness waned, a thought flickered

through my mind.

‘I guess… at least I manage to come this far…’ With that realization, I succumbed to the encroaching

darkness, allowing it to swallow me whole.

As my eyes fluttered open, I found myself enveloped in a shroud of darkness. Confusion momentarily

clouded my thoughts as I struggled to comprehend my surroundings. Yet, a peculiar sense of calmness

and security washed over me, dispelling any lingering unease. It took a few precious seconds for the

realization to dawn upon me—I was immersed in a dream.

Once I grasped the nature of this ethereal realm, a brilliant burst of light illuminated the darkness.

Before me materialized the figure of a majestic white wolf. She stood tall and proud, her coat glistening

like satin under the divine radiance. Her fur, devoid of any blemish or dust, exuded an otherworldly

purity. And her eyes—oh, her eyes were a mesmerizing shade of ruby red, gleaming with an intensity

that pierced my soul.

My heart quickened its pace as I beheld her ethereal presence. Warmth flooded my being, and tears

welled up in my eyes, tracing silent paths down my cheeks. "Aurora," I whispered, the name of my

beloved wolf escaping my lips. A magnetic force propelled my legs forward, drawing me closer to her.

With trembling hands, I reached out to touch her, craving the tactile confirmation of her existence. As

my palm grazed the softness of her fur, the floodgates opened, and tears cascaded unabated.

Aurora met my gaze, her red eyes alive with emotions too profound for mere words. It was as if she

communicated her depths of love and understanding through the language of her soul. Without

hesitation, she leaned towards me, gently pressing her head against mine in a tender display of

affection.

"Aurora..." I sniffled, my voice choked with emotion. "I believed... I thought you were lost to me..." Tears This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

streamed down my face, carrying the weight of my grief. "I hadn't heard from you... ever since I

returned to the Red Moon Pack..."

"I truly believed... I truly believed you were gone," I cried, my voice breaking. The pain of the thought

threatened to overwhelm me.

Aurora's nuzzling persisted, offering solace in her touch. And then, I heard her ethereal voice, carrying

words that stirred a mix of confusion and curiosity within me.

"I have almost died," she softly told me, the words resonating in the depths of my soul. "Chloe, I

thought I would never see you again... If it weren't for that twist of fate, I would have been lost

forever..."

My brows furrowed as I tried to comprehend her words, my heart heavy with anticipation. I blinked,

meeting her gaze, silently urging her to explain. And with a profound weight in her voice, she revealed

the truth that would forever alter my perception of our shared journey.

"Chloe, when your child tragically passed away, she bore the burden of your poison within her... In

sacrificing herself, she became the vessel that carried away the poison, thus healing me," Aurora

revealed, her words echoing in the depths of my being.
