Chapter 693
Chapter 693 No Offspring In His Thirties
Without makeup, Skylar looked younger and more vibrant. Also, she exuded a less intimidating aura,
making everyone around her feel more comfortable.
After observing Skylar, jealousy began to creep into Saorise, for she didn't look as good as Skylar
without makeup.
Moreover, she even woke up at five just to get the production team's makeup artist to do her makeup.
Kai handed the leftover bread to Skylar. “Come and have your breakfast before someone inconsiderate
finishes it.”
Mavis rolled her eyes dramatically at Kai. Even though it was caught on camera, she couldn't care less
about it.
All this while, she had suffered more than her fair share of ridicule and had gotten used to it. In fact,
she was actually trying to bring attention to herself so that she would have more screen time.
As for Skylar, she took a seat beside Saorise as that was the only one available.
In truth, no one dared to sit beside Saorise for fear of being outshone.
When the time comes, everyone would have their share of glory and pain on the screen. Nevertheless,
Skylar was unfazed since she was born with a pretty face.
Saorise handed Skylar the glass of untouched milk by her side. “It's still warm. Why don't you have it?
And you should eat more for breakfast. We're going to have quite a few sights to cover today.”
After receiving the glass of milk, Skylar returned a cordial smile.
She took a liking to Saorise, who felt like an older sister to her.
With Skylar away, Tobias returned to the Ford residence to see Claudia.
Ever since he got together with Skylar, his visits home had obviously decreased.
It wasn't because he was unfilial, it was simply because he couldn't stand his mother pestering him
about having a child.
Without giving advance notice, Tobias came back during dinnertime. Every day, Claudia's routine was
to have a feast fit for a queen. With at least ten dishes served, she even needed someone to peel her
crabs for her.
When Claudia saw Tobias return halfway through dinner, she put down her cutlery and grumbled, “Why
didn't you inform me that you were coming home? I could've gotten the kitchen to prepare your favorite
dishes. You do realize it's been a while since you last returned, don't you?”
After Tobias rolled up his sleeves to wash his hands, the housekeeper handed him a towel to wipe
them.
“I've been busy with work. Now that I have taken some time out to see you, your first response
shouldn't be to complain. Besides, don't I call you every day?” Tobias scanned the surroundings. What
is Sheldon up to again? Why is he always not around?
When he heard that Sheldon was still spending time with the girl, he remembered that he had yet to
speak to Judy. Consequently, the matter with Truman kept hanging over his head and couldn't stop
bothering him.
“Are you busy at work or busy spending time with her?” Claudia ripped through Tobias' excuse
mercilessly.
Taking a seat opposite his mother, Tobias simply responded with a smile.
“When I asked Skylar to get a medical checkup, she pretended not to hear me. Given how long both of
you have been together, I don't believe you have not slept with each other. So why isn't she pregnant
yet?”
The moment he heard Claudia's words, Tobias lost his appetite. It was as if Claudia had made it her life
mission to force him into having a child.
Tobias explained, “She isn't ignoring you on purpose. She's just busy. In fact, she has recently gone to Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Baykeep to film a show and won't be back for a while.”
Claudia sighed in response. All she wanted now was to have grandchildren. Unfortunately, both Tobias
and Skylar didn't have any sense of urgency.
Given that Skylar was still young, she naturally wasn't in a hurry. However, Tobias was already in his
thirties. In the olden days, not having offspring was considered an unfilial act.
