Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2250

Chapter 2250

"Seriously, you think I'm that dumb, to be fooled by you over and over?" Marina spat out with disgust. "Seeing you makes me sick, and hearing you say you love me makes me even sicker!"

With a splash, Freddy tumbled into the water.

The fountain wasn't deep, but Freddy was drenched and the water was icy cold. He stood up, shivering, his whole body a mess from the cold water and the chilly breeze.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Facing Marina on the shore, Freddy, whether from anger or from the cold, had turned a shade of blue. "Marina, you... you're unbelievable!"

"Oh, please, you're the one to talk," Marina shot back, her voice sharp as a knife. "Don't even think about coming near me again, or next time I'll make sure you're embarrassed in front of everyone!"

Freddy, shivering and boiling with rage, couldn't believe this was the same woman who used to cling to him. Was she serious, or was this all an act? Marina scoffed and turned to leave, feeling a rush of satisfaction.

She wished she could throw Cindy and Freddy both into the fountain and slap each with a pie. That would've been the cherry on top.

As she passed by a garden, a commotion caught her attention. It was Amiee, tossing the bouquet.

Just as she was about to join, a teasing voice came from behind, "Reconciled with the jerk and already celebrating?"

Marina stopped in her tracks and turned to see Carson standing there, an amused yet mocking look on his face.

"Did you see that?" Marina asked.

"As if I could miss it. My fiancée, flirting with another man? Hard to ignore," Carson scoffed.

Marina frowned, "For the record, even though our engagement is a sham, I wouldn't get involved with another man during it."

"So, what? You want to break off our engagement to be with Freddy? A loser worth going back to, Marina, I thought you were better than that."

Marina wanted to explain, but facing Carson's aggressive stance made her defiant. "Don't flatter yourself, I'm just an ordinary person."

Carson stared at her coldly, then smirked and walked away.

Marina, fuming, wanted to confront him. What right did he have to speak to her that way?

Even if she did get back with Freddy, what was it to him?

Frustrated, Marina stormed into the

crowd, just in time to catch Amiee's bouquet thrown with such force it bypassed everyone to land inher arms.

Stunned, Marina thought of tossing the bouquet away but the crowd had already turned, showering her with congratulations.

Forcing a smile, Marina looked up to see Carson watching her with an indecipherable expression.

She almost wished she could throw the bouquet at his face.

Carson approached, his lips curled in a half-smile, "Reconciled with the ex and caught the bouquet. Congratulations."

Marina returned the smile, "Thank you, Mr. Foster. Do come to the wedding."

Carson's smile widened, "Unless that loser has no intention of marrying you, leaving you high and dry."

Marina shrugged, "Who cares about 'later'? It's all about enjoying the moment."

Carson's smile faded, "Darling, we're still engaged, remember?"

"That's a matter of time!" Marina stuffed the bouquet into his arms, "Enjoying the thrill of juggling two? Only a fool would rush into marriage."

Carson's face darkened.

Josiah had reserved a private dining

room upstairs for Jonathan and their friends, aiming for a more comfortable gathering and to keep away those looking to cozy up to Jonathan, sparing him the annoyance.
