Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2263

Chapter 2263

"Alright, time to head back. Be careful on the road, and don't forget to let us know when you've made it to J City," Old Mr. Jarvis advised.

"Will do!" Magdalen's bright smile shone as she hugged Estelle for a moment longer before getting into the car and driving off.

It wasn't until Magdalen had left that Sylvia sensed something was amiss. So, Magdalen's entire trip was actually about bringing her here. And there she was, somewhat bewildered, agreeing to stay for the New Year. Why should an outsider like her stay with the Jarvis family for the holidays?

Whenever she saw a certain someone, her mind just stopped working.

Seeing Sylvia lost in thought, Gabriel turned to her, "What are you thinking about? Let's head back!"

"Oh!" Sylvia looked up, startled.

Old Mr. Jarvis called Sylvia over, "Young lady, come here!"

Sylvia immediately walked over, "Grandpa!"

Old Mr. Jarvis smiled, "Estelle will be busy keeping me and Jonathan company. She might not be able to look after you all the time. So, while you're staying with us, let Gab look after you. Anything you need, you can ask him!"

Gabriel raised an eyebrow.

"What's that look?" Old Mr. Jarvis immediately chided.

Glancing at Sylvia, Gabriel replied calmly, "A look of agreement!"

Only then did Old Mr. Jarvis smile, asking Sylvia, "Young lady, you don't mind, do you?"

Sylvia responded, "Of course not, it's just that I'll be troubling Mr. Carnes."NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Gabriel put on a serious face, "It's no trouble at all."

Standing next to Jonathan, Estelle whispered, "This is a good sign!"

Jonathan smiled, holding her hand.

After Old Mr. Jarvis had his lunchtime drink and went for a nap, Gabrieltook someone from the company to the study for a discussion.

Estelle led Sylvia to the backyard, showing her where she'd be staying, right next to Gabriel.

Regarding this arrangement, both had an unspoken understanding; neither asked nor explained.

As Estelle acquainted Sylvia with the surroundings, she explained, "My brother and usually aren't home. Besides grandpa, there's also the ald butler, Old Mr. Wade, who's always by his side. Mr. Justin is our chef; grandpa only likes his cooking. We also have a driver who handles various chores. They all live in the front courtyard."

"New Year has always been a quiet affair for grandpa, but this year, we're all home, and he's thrilled. Of course, what made him ever happier was your arrival."

From the way the old man indulged in a few extra drinks today, it was clear he was genuinely delighted.

Sylvia hesitated, "Perhaps, it might not turn out the way Old Mr. Jarvis imagines. I'm afraid I might disappoint him."

"No one can predict the future," Estelle said with a soft smile. "But for now, everyone is happy."

Sylvia's eyes were gentle, "Thank you, Estelle."

"Don't mention it. While you're here, consider it your home. At least, that's how I see you—as a part of the family."

Looking into Estelle's clear, calm eyes, Sylvia felt the restlessness in her heart slowly settle.

As they walked along the porch, they spotted Coco perched on the railing.

Estelle introduced, "This is Coco, my chatty little buddy!"

Sylvia laughed, "Coco, huh?"
