Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1441

Facing Fiona's frosty, piercing gaze, the female doctor felt her shoulders tremble, and a bead of cold sweat trickled down her forehead. Tsk.

How dull.

With such little nerve, how did she even think she could claim credit for something she didn't do? Did she really believe no one would find out?

"Ms. Fiona, do you know Dr. Wegge?" Dr. Shepherd asked hesitantly.

The tension between them was palpable. Everyone could see it. The female doctor seemed genuinely terrified of Fiona.

Please, no!noveldrama

Don't let it slip out!

"Oh, we go way back," Fiona replied with a smile, locking eyes with the female doctor, whose pleading gaze begged for mercy. Fiona's lips curled, revealing a hint of a playful canine tooth as she crushed her hopes: "That surgery you're all talking about? I was the one who did it."

The room fell silent, everyone taken aback.

What was Fiona implying? That it wasn't the female doctor who saved the day in the elevator, but her?! "Unbelievable!"

Dr. Shepherd's face twitched with anger as he slammed his hand on the table. A doctor can hone their skills over time, and a few shortcomings are forgivable, but integrity is paramount. If this doctor could steal someone else's spotlight, what else was she capable of? Thinking about how he had just praised her in front of Fiona made Dr. Shepherd's expression darken. He had worked hard to bring Fiona to the hospital, and now they were making a fool of him. Were they trying to scare Fiona away?

The other doctors started piecing things together. Suddenly, it made sense how Dr. Wegge had made such rapid progress and knew those life-saving techniques...

"Dean, I... didn't mean to," the

female

as paleor stammered, her face quivering with humiliation. "e!!

as pale as a sheet, her voice

wasn't..."

She hadn't planned on taking the credit. Everyone assumed it was her, and she just went along with it. It wasn't her fault...

"You did it on purpose," Fiona cut in

with a cold chuckle. "Did someone hold a knife to your throat and force you to own up? No, you did it knowingly. Maybe before you saw me, you were patting yourself on the back, thinking you'd struck gold. You just didn't expect me to show up, did you?"

Fiona couldn't stand people who did wrong and then played the innocent. She could tear them apart, leaving them questioning everything. Who are you trying to fool here?

The female doctor was left speechless, her embarrassment turning into anger as she glared at Fiona.

Did she have to be so harsh?

"Dr. Wegge, you're getting a major

demerit, and this will go on your record, Dr. Shepherd said coolly, then turned to Fiona. "Ms. Fiona,

what do you think?"

Fiona, being a victim here, had a say in the matter. For a doctor, a blemish on their record was a hefty punishment.

The female doctor's eyes widened in disbelief! Just for this, she was being punished?! Which major hospital would take her now?

"And one more thing," Fiona added, "when I'm consulting, I don't want to see her around."

She belonged to the hospital, and Dr. Shepherd could handle her as he wished, but Fiona didn't want to deal with her presence. Dr. Shepherd nodded promptly, signaling the female doctor to leave.

"Dean!"

"If you don't leave now, don't bother staying at this hospital!" Dr. Shepherd's voice was ice-cold.

With reddened eyes, the female doctor shot Fiona one last glare before exiting the room.
