Andrews was a huge stroke of luck. He never expected the message sent late that night, which he didn’t expect to get a reply because the girl must have rested after a long night. But as it turned out, the message was replied to and almost made him jump out of bed.
Giselle. N:
You’ve already congratulated me and thanked me for the post. Regarding this post, can we meet?
The man sat down while feeling his heart. Lest it suddenly stop beating because of this message he read. and rubbed his eyes several times. Afraid if the words that were strung there, were mere pseudo. But no matter how many times he read it, the message was still the same.
“Giselle asked me to meet?” he muttered under his breath. “I’m not dreaming, am I?” Andrew tapped his cheek. And it hurt a little, which meant this message wasn’t part of a dream. His hand moved quickly to reply to the message just now, but he couldn’t send it. “Meeting, huh? But how do I meet?”
Even massaging his temples could not make Andrew find a way out. It wasn’t that he hadn’t replied to the message just now, but circumstances forced him to think hard. The next morning, a business breakfast was obviously organized with Woddy and his father. Although his father mostly monitored from home and occasionally attended events like this once in a while, his influence on Andrew was considerable. How could he miss an event where his father was present.
“Tsk! Why did my chance come at such a bad time?” He lay down on the bed. His eyes were no longer able to close even though he was tired. Other than staring at the ceiling of the room, what else could he do? While thinking about how he could steal an hour or two just to meet with Giselle.
“When will I be free?” Andrew sighed in frustration. The image of Giselle’s smiling face, filled with laughter during the socializing after the finals night, flickered across his eyes. He felt he was sharing in the happiness that was present around Giselle. At least there was something he could do for the girl in his heart.
He scrolled through the cell phone beside him again. Just in case he suddenly got an idea so he could reply to Giselle’s message immediately. he had to carefully calculate his steps because of his father. He didn’t want to get caught up in the old man’s ridiculous rules and orders. as soon as Fania’s name caught his eye, he grinned slightly.
He quickly got up and typed in a message for the girl.
Me:
Do me a favor. Tell Papa we’ll have breakfast together at 20th Street Road. I have some business before heading back to Centralia.
It didn’t take long for the message to be replied to.
Fania. L :
You really are a bully. But it’s okay. I’ll help you but you have to help me later. Just watch out!
Andrew’s smile grew wide. At least Fania could work with him and he would remember her kindness. After all, their relationship was nothing more than friends. It was their parents who pushed too hard, keeping them trapped for who knows how long. But Andrew was determined, ah… Fania was also determined enough, to negate the arranged marriage between them.
Andrew immediately replied to Giselle’s message with a much calmer heart.
Me:
When are you free? Breakfast together? Because I can’t stay in Milan for too long, I have to go back to Centralia soon.
Whether it was Giselle who was waiting for the message to be replied to, it was clear that the girl’s reply message did not take long to enter Andrew’s cellphone.
Giselle. N:
Okay. Seven o’clock at Tommy’s Caffe. I’ll be waiting.
Andrew was clearly overjoyed. His meeting with Giselle was going to happen and hopefully there would be no obstacles. He could go against his father but Andrew remembers that he still needs Kingston’s support in some parts of his life. He can’t let go of his father’s influence just yet.
The clock in her room had already struck one in the morning. He should have closed his eyes earlier but now his eyes were no longer filled with sleepiness. Maybe it was because she was excited to welcome the coming morning, so the sleepiness that had come earlier immediately disappeared. He never expected Giselle to ask him to meet her, even though what she gave him was just a bouquet of flowers, just like the other contestants.
Ah… no. She must have been surprised that her room was filled with gifts from him. On purpose. Most of them contained chocolates and some famous brand items. In appreciation of the hard work Giselle had put in, he had not expected her to be so determined to add value to herself. It was as if what was her life now, was a choice that she really chose. And it also feels like Giselle wants to prove to the world that she is capable of doing things above what many people expect.

It didn’t matter, for now what Giselle relied on was that man. Someday, when her business was done with the man who was holding her back, she hoped fervently that Giselle would want to make him a handle and a place to lean on. It didn’t matter if this was all Andrew could do for her now.
Andrew is confident that in the future he can do more than he did today.
While in Giselle’s room, the girl let out a long sigh.
“How was it?” asked Harvey curiously. From the moment they entered the room, apart from being surprised by the contents of the room full of gifts, Harvey himself did not expect that the man had guts too.
“It’s been replied to,” Giselle said in a half-squeal. She flopped down on the sofa and breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m going to go crazy like this.”
Harvey shrugged his shoulders. Looking at Giselle with a pleased look, there was no envy for what his friend was getting. “You’re lucky to have someone looking out for you.”
Giselle straightened her back again. Smirking faintly with eyes that looked nowhere but one after another at the gifts lying on the table. She had checked them all with Harvey and for the most part Giselle knew the brand and price tag of each item. “Crazy man,” she complained, patting her forehead.
“Not just crazy, but he’s crazy about you.”
The girl who had changed her clothes into more casual clothes fell silent. She looked deep into her new friend’s words. “You’re right. But I hope the one who’s crazy about me isn’t her.”
Harvey chuckled at Giselle’s words. “You think you can control other people’s feelings?”
“No, really,” Giselle said quietly.
“But I didn’t think that Andrew could do something this crazy. You’re very lucky, Giselle.”
Giselle looked at Harvey for a moment and then smiled slightly. “It’s not really my luck. Besides I can still buy all this myself, you know, my royalties in SEO are great.”
“Show-off!”
Giselle laughed but then continued her paused speech. “I don’t want to get this kind of crazy attention. it’s just enough if he really likes me. Unfortunately, I can’t reciprocate that feeling.”
“Because of someone else?”
Giselle’s smile although created slightly but there was a sadness there. “That’s how it is.”
“May I guess?”
Giselle shook her head. “I think you know what the end of my feelings are.”
“The most vain thing comes in that woman’s heart… having deep but unrequited feelings.”
Giselle sniggered in displeasure. “So poetic.”
“But my words have some truth to them, don’t they?” Harvey giggled with amusement. Unfortunately, Giselle did not respond with the same laughter. Instead, she looked at Harvey with an increasingly somber look.
“I’m trying to get him to look at me. I’ll keep trying until I reach the point where I should give up. Don’t you think that I’m doing a useless job. In my life that has lived through the darkness of hell, I can’t trust any man out there except one. And he’s the only one I’ve given my life to carry. Anywhere. I’m willing.”
