Chapter 114 The Right Time
Chapter 114 The Right Time
Hugh gave way to Hermosa. "Mother, it's Colin and Sophia."
Hermosa had known both Colin and Sophia for a long time.
"Sophia, is it really you?" Hermosa was surprised. She didn't expect to see Sophia here.
She always liked Sophia. Before Sophia had a chance to speak, she asked in amazement, "How did
you become so thin? I saw you on my phone today but I wasn't sure..."
Sophia smiled. "Good evening. How have you been lately?"
When she hung out with Hugh before, the virtuous and gentle lady would always prepare delicious food
for her, and even sent her beautiful presents on her birthday...
Hearing Sophia's voice, Jonas looked over and found Sophia smiling and embracing Hermosa.
Inadvertently seeing Jonas, she nodded her head in greeting.
"I'm fine, but I missed you so much! I didn't expect you to marry Colin. I thought..." She caught herself
in time. Knowing her son always liked Sophia, she thought Sophia would become her daughter-in-law.
Colin asked gently, "Have you and Sophia met before?"
"Yes, Sophia and Hugh grew up together." At Hermosa's reminder, Colin remembered they were good
childhood friends.
Hermosa seemed to like Sophia a lot. A complicated expression flashed over Colin's eyes.
"Hermosa, do you still give lessons?" As a music teacher, Hermosa was excellent in playing the piano
and had won many awards.
Sophia could also play a little, thanks to Hermosa's lessons.
"Rarely, but sometimes I give lessons once in half a month. Sophia, you've become much more
beautiful! Colin must be taking good care of you!" Although she was disappointed that Sophia didn't
end up with Hugh, she was relieved to see that Colin seemed to be good for Sophia.
Hugh was taken aback at the sight of Sophia's embarrassment.
Sophia would never know how beautiful she was at that moment, bowing her head bashfully...
They chatted for a while and walked into the elevator one after another.
There wasn't enough room for everyone. Colin picked up Michelle beside him and took Sophia's hand
as they waited for the next elevator. Beside Sophia, Hugh was chatting with Sophia casually.
Seeing the little girl in Colin's arms, Hugh asked Sophia, "I remember you like kids a lot. When are you
and Colin planning to have a baby?"
Sophia smiled. "The right time will come soon."
Colin felt a heartache at the sight of Sophia's smile. Sophia must be feeling sad at the moment.
But Sophia didn't feel sad. If she had known that Colin worried about her all the time because of this,
she would've told Colin the truth.
She wanted to keep it a secret to surprise Colin. But if she had known it was going to make Colin
suffer, she wouldn't have hidden the truth from Colin.
At the parking lot, they began to arrange for cars to go home. Everything was fine until Lola said,
"Selina, you're coming back with us, right?"
Although Selina was a little surprised, she refused, "There's no need. I have a flight to catch tomorrow
morning, so I'll just find a hotel for the night."
"Nonsense! There are many guests rooms available at home. Let Levi take you back with us. Come on,
Levi!" Levi was smoking on the side. He walked over without even glancing at Selina.
Lola told him casually, "Put Selina's suitcase in your car and take her back. At home, prepare a room
for her to settle in." Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
What? They were both surprised. Nonetheless, Levi took Selina's suitcase and walked to the trunk of
the military car.
Selina quickly followed. "It's fine! I can go to a hotel!"
Levi gave her a blank look. "I'll bring you to the hotel."
After saying goodbye to Hugh, Sophia went inside Colin's car, along with Daniel and Janet.
Harry and Lola took the three children back home.
Colin and Daniel talked about company affairs from time to time, while Sophia and Janet played with
their phones.
"Sophia, don't you also work in the company in Z Country?" Hearing Janet's sudden question from
behind, Sophia set aside her phone and nodded to her.
"What do you do?" Janet added.
Sophia told her honestly, "I work as Colin's secretary."
"That's great, you can be together every day!" Janet thought about how she didn't have the same
luxury with Daniel.
When Daniel looked at his wife, he knew what she was thinking about. "I asked you to come to the
company before, but you didn't want to. Why are you disappointed?"
"I'm not. I just envy Colin and Sophia. They can be together every day!" Janet leaned against the
backseat.
Daniel was speechless. "If you can be the president's private secretary, will you accept?"
"No!" Janet firmly refused, she was too busy managing her shop.
Daniel knew that and looked helplessly at her.
Sophia chuckled and unconsciously spoke out her thoughts, "Actually, I want to stay in A Country, but I
have to wait for a while."
If she stays in A Country, she can look after her father and brother.
Daniel said calmly, "You won't wait too long, our branch in Z Country is nearly settled. Colin can bring
you back to A Country as soon as he finds a deputy CEO to manage the company."
Casting a glance at her silent husband, Sophia timidly asked, "Can I go back first?"
"No." Colin kept his eyes on the road as he bluntly refused her.
She knew it!
Janet laughed. "Colin's reluctant to part with you because he doesn't want to live separately."
"That's right." Colin immediately agreed.
Sophia paused. "Alright." But she didn't want to give up.
Daniel looked at Colin thoughtfully. Didn't he used to complain that he didn't want to be with Sophia?
"Colin, have you found the woman you like?"
Only the two men knew what Daniel's question meant.
Before, Colin told Daniel that after two or three years at most, he would divorce Sophia if he found a
woman he liked.
Colin was afraid that Daniel would say something inappropriate and quickly said, "Of course, Sophia is
the woman I like most!"
Blushing, Sophia hissed, "You have no shame!"
"Oh! That's good! It seems there's no need to worry about you." Daniel's words implied that Colin didn't
have to get divorced.
Afraid that Daniel didn't believe him, Colin confirmed firmly, "I will spend the rest of my life with
Sophia."
