Chapter 93 Prince Charming
Chapter 93 Prince Charming
Sophia watched as the bleeding man staring at her in disbelief fell down.
A couple rushed in to find the man bleeding on the floor. Screaming in horror, they hurriedly called the
police.
It wasn't long before the police came, along with an ambulance. In a blank daze, Sophia was taken to
the police station. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Blood... There was blood everywhere. Did she... Kill someone?
After being detained in the police station for two hours, Sophia was taken to the interrogation room by a
policeman.
Entering into the familiar room, Sophia turned pale.
"What's your name?" Since Sophia was taken out of the red light district, she was believed to be one of
the prostitutes working there, so the policeman interrogated her terribly.
Sophia answered blankly, "Sophia Lo."
What? The policeman cast a puzzled look at her. Why was the name so familiar?
He didn't think too much about it. "How long have you been working there?"
Sophia shook her head. "I was there to look for someone."
The policeman slammed his pen on the table. "This is a police station. You'd better tell me the truth!"
"I was really looking for someone. I hit him with the lamp in self-defense!"
"What's your occupation? Where do you work? Where do you live?"
...
To get home early and see his wife, Colin ended dinner earlier.
But when he came home, an empty room was waiting for him. When he tried to call Sophia, her phone
was turned off.
At around 9 in the evening.
With a frown on his face, Colin smoked one cigarette after another. He kept calling Sophia, but he still
couldn't reach her.
At that moment, Wade called. "What?"
Wade told Colin everything the police had told him.
Sophia was in the police station?
Colin hurriedly took his coat, rushing towards the location Wade mentioned.
It was 10:00pm when he saw Sophia again.
Huddling up against the corner of the temporary detention room, Sophia was looking down and drawing
circles on the ground.
She was praying for the man and hoped he wouldn't die, when a shadow suddenly loomed in front of
her.
The first thing she saw was the pair of expensive new black leather shoes, the neat suit pants, the
white shirt without a tie, and the suit jacket.
The familiar face gazed down at her with a somber look.
Standing up quickly, she threw herself at him. "Colin..." She choked down the tears as she held onto
Colin.
To Sophia, Colin seemed like a Prince Charming riding on his white horse, finally coming for her. It was
like her favorite person had come on rainbow-colored clouds to meet her. No, seeing Colin made her
feel a lot more excited than any of the images that came to mind.
Colin was angry at Sophia, but his temper diminished at her affectionate hug.
Without waiting for him to speak, Sophia raised herself on her tiptoes and kissed him.
His anger shrank even more.
Colin picked her up and walked out of the room carrying her in his arms.
Outside, he noticed one of Sophia's cheeks was swollen. The bastard had hit her!
Colin's anger rose again. He wasn't letting the man get away with this!
The captain, along with two policemen, was talking to Wade outside. Seeing them come out, the
policeman who interrogated Sophia earlier smiled nervously at her. "I'm so sorry for the
misunderstanding, Mrs. Li!"
There were currently a lot of officers on duty at the station. Everyone was staring at Colin, who drew
attention the moment he entered the room. Sophia blushed at the stares. She wanted to get down, but
Colin kept his hold on her. She had no choice but to talk to the policeman like that. "That's all right.
How's the man?"
She had been praying for the man to live. She couldn't bear it if she had killed someone.
"He's in ICU. According to the doctors, his injuries aren't life-threatening." The captain replied honestly.
Sophia breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that she didn't have to relive her nightmare.
Colin calmly said, "I hope the Captain can bring the criminal in as early as possible. I'm going to sue
him!"
The captain kept nodding his head. "Don't worry, Sir. I'll send for him as soon as he's out of the woods."
"Thank you."
"It's nothing, Sir. It's our duty! I'm sorry your wife was troubled! The captain smiled at Sophia.
Sophia shook her head hastily. "No, I'm the one bothering you!"
"It's too kind of you, Madam. We'll treat the criminal properly. Please feel free to ask for help in the
future." Sophia understood what the captain meant.
"Thank you!"
After they left the police station together, Colin deposited Sophia in the car and fastened the seatbelt
around her. With the blank expression on Colin's face, Sophia couldn't figure out if he was angry or not.
After talking with Wade for a while, Colin finally got in the car and drove off with Sophia.
In the Villa
Following Colin upstairs in silence, Sophia stepped towards her room as usual. She was about to open
the door when Colin suddenly turned around.
With a strong force, he pressed Sophia against the wall in the corridor.
Trapped in his arms, Sophia was gathered in a tight embrace.
"Sophia, how could you go to the red light district!"
Sophia blinked. "You told me to go wherever I want!"
Colin gritted his teeth. "Just because I said you could go anywhere, doesn't mean you can go to the red
light district and end up in the police station!"
Sophia looked down without saying anything.
"Why did you go there? You'd better tell me the truth, Sophia!" Colin knew she had deposited the
money he gave her in her bank account. If he hadn't known this, he would've thought she went out
looking for a man.
"Don't be angry with me. I was looking for someone..." Sophia knew she was wrong, so she answered
Colin gently.
"A man?"
... Sophia tried to push Colin away but he didn't budge. She explained reluctantly, "A woman."
"Besides me, you don't know anyone else in Z Country. Who was the woman you were looking for?
Sophia, don't lie me!" Sophia felt Colin's hot breath on her ears, her neck...
Pulling away from her thoughts, Sophia answered, "I was looking for a woman for something, and I
found her!"
"What for?" Colin was determined to get the whole story.
But Sophia didn't want to tell Colin her plans, she was afraid that if she told him, Colin... would hate her.
Or say she was horrible... Although these words were true, she didn't want to hear them.
"I just wanted her to do something for me." While it was the truth, she didn't tell him anything specific.
