Chapter 131 Run And Call For Help!
Finnic shook his head in refusal, but Kara raised her eyebrows, emphasizing her seriousness.
"I've moved on, you should have too. Don't cancel your wedding because it will only show how
cowardly you are in my eyes. Be responsible for your choice. Sophia is the one you chose, not me."
A second later, Kara took a step, about to return to Frank. However, Finnic shifted, getting in her way.
“Kara, please.”
Kara pulled herself backwards. Her eyebrows were wrinkled and her forefinger was pointed. “Don't
ever touch me again! I'm no longer yours. And don't try to chase me! That will only make me hate you."
After delivering the ultimatum, Kara turned towards the door at the other end of the corridor. Finnic
could only stare at her back with regret piercing his chest.
“Why did I let you go in the first place, Kara? Why?" he groaned while gripping his own fingers.
Realizing that he couldn't do anything, he turned towards his future wife.
As soon as he found Finnic walking alone, Frank immediately widened his eyes and got up from his
chair. "Where's Kara?" He regretted having relaxed his supervision earlier.
“Did you guys fight?” Sophia continued, worrying about different things.
Without waiting for an answer, Frank ran towards the outer corridor. Kara was walking towards the
other door. Behind her, a man dressed in black approached quickly.
Frank's jaw dropped. At full speed, he chased after his lover. “Kara, watch out!”
Kara spontaneously turned around. At that time, Frank ambushed someone and threw him against the
wall. However, the big man didn't fall. He swayed a little before straightening up again.
"Don't get involved or you'll regret it," he said hoarsely. His hand then took out a folding knife from his
pocket. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Frank quickly brought his back closer to Kara. The woman was still gaping with her face pale. “Kara,
run and call for help.”
"But you ...."
"Now!"
Kara flinched. Her knees were actually shaking, but common sense forced her to move according to
the order. “Hang in there, Frank.”
She ran as fast as she could, screaming for help. When she arrived at the door, everyone in the lounge
looked at her in confusion. No one moved towards her, apart from Finnic and Sophia.
"What's wrong, Kara?" Finnic asked anxiously.
“Frank ….”
Kara stepped back to check on her lover. However, instead of explaining, she stared wide eyed. Her
lips were getting paler. The two men were pushing each other on the edge of the fence.
"No, no." Her head shook in horror. A second later, she grabbed her ex's wrist. “Finnic, help Frank!”
As they were running, Frank managed to throw the man out of the fence. Unfortunately, the stranger's
grip on Frank’s shirt was too strong. In a blink of an eye, both of them fell over the fence.
“Frank ...!” Kara screamed, shedding tears. A second later, her ears rang. There were no sounds that
her brain could process anymore.
“Frank?” she sighed helplessly. Her legs tried to break the stiffness, shifting slowly towards the last
place her lover stood.
When she arrived at the edge of the fence and looked down, all she could see was only darkness. The
sea under the ship seemed bottomless.
"No .... It’s impossible. It couldn’t be real."
Kara tried to clear her throat, but it was too narrow and dry. Her chest was tight, either because of the
heavy air or the fragments of her heart.
"Frank ..." she called softly.
Even though no one answered, Kara kept looking out the fence. The sea breeze repeatedly blew on
her cheeks, making her realize that the ship was sailing. There's no way Frank was still down there.
However, she still hoped that his lover would reply.
Meanwhile, the couple behind her back was still wide-eyed. Their mouths were wide open, but they
didn't utter a word. They couldn't believe what they had just witnessed.
“Stop the ship ….” Kara already got her senses back. “Stop the ship!”
Finnic and Sophia flinched. However, before they had time to act, Kara shouted again, "Quickly stop
the ship! Tell the captain to turn around and send the rescue team down!”
“Okay, okay!” Sophia grabbed her phone in a hurry.
As Sophia contacted the control room, Kara ran towards the buoy hanging on the fence. Without
wasting any time, she untied the rope and threw the orange object as far as possible.
"Kara, what are you doing?" Finnic approached her.
“Saving Frank. What else?" She threw the second buoy then ran to the third buoy.
Suddenly, Finnic grabbed her arm. "But Kara, wouldn't that make the search even more difficult?"
Sighing faintly, Kara brushed his hands away. “Do you hope Frank doesn't survive? He didn't have any
grip or foothold out there. If we don't release these buoys ....”
Finnic swallowed hard. His hands trembled to choose ego or conscience. However, seeing Kara in
trouble, he finally took action.
As the ship began to turn around, the passengers began to wonder. In order to avoid panic, the captain
was forced to make an announcement. In an instant, the furor spread.
“Who fell? Frank Harper? Really Frank Harper?”
People gathered at the edge of the fence, either for joining in the search or just not wanting to miss out.
Some started live broadcast, hoping to get their name famous and their followers to grow.
Meanwhile, Kara went to the rescue team. She showed the GPS location of Frank's watch. As soon as
the rescue ships hit the water, they went straight to that point.
“God, please ... save Frank. I promise not to be rude to him if he comes back to my side. I will never
doubt his seriousness again. Please ...."
Hearing the whispered prayer, Finnic secretly clenched his fists. However, with Sophia by his side, he
came to his senses. His hidden desire was too evil.
“Miss Martin, calm down. Mister Harper is a strong man. I'm sure he will survive. Moreover, the rescue
team already knows his location.”
Kara looked at Sophia with teary eyes. Anxiety still rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't answer, but
nodded as best she could.
A few minutes later, one of the passengers pointed to something in the distance. “Look! They're back.
Frank Harper is safe!”
“Where's Frank?”
The black clothed man grinned. Laughing with satisfaction, he showed a watch in his hand. “Sorry for
your loss. Your lover fainted when he hit the ocean. His body was too heavy for me to carry. So, I just
saved his watch.”
Kara sighed in disbelief. Her feet staggered backwards. "No! Frank couldn't have passed out.”
