Marriage.
Beatrice turned her head to him sharply.
“What in God’s name did you just say?”she scoffs.
“Marry me, miss Beatrice.”he focused back on the road.
Beatrice scoffs again before rolling her eyes outside the window.
He is probably joking.
But, how can he joke with that?
Marry him?
That would be getting herself into another hell.
Well, she would just pretend she didn’t hear that.
“I mean it, Author. Marry me, on papers.”he informed.
On papers?
What’s the meaning of that?
She suddenly gasps.
“You want us to fake our marriage?!”she yelps.
He cachinnates and nodded.
“Yeah, that’s right. It would be a contract marriage. So, marry me, Author. I will pay you for that also.”
“We.. we already pretended we are a couple, but now, you want us to marry?. Clearly, you’ve gone inane and all you care about is YOU! I am not going to ever do that. Go find another woman.”
“Another woman?. When we just announced our dating yesterday?. That won’t do, Author. The marriage is going to last for a period of a year and after that, we can depart and forget about each other.”
“Why are you doing this exactly?. What about Jenna?. She likes you so just get married to her, goddamnit! You belittle me way too much. I am not just a tool you can use in settling the conflicts in your life! And I am not ready to be a pawn in your game. Mr Gregory Winslow, please don’t marry me. Get married to your rich spouse and get..”
“Well, that’s too late.”he interrupted her with a sigh.
She twinkled her eyes.
“What do you mean?”
He took his phone from the dashboard and opened it then hand it over to her.
She collected it reluctantly from him.
What has he done this time around?
She went through the post on his phone and her eyes bulged out.
Her jaw drops and she scoffed.
“You have your company announce that we will be getting married?, next week?!!!!!”she growled angrily.
“I’m sorry.. it was all.. it was very fast. They wanted me to get married so I will prove I’m capable as a CEO. I..”
She threw his phone at his chest, enraged.
“You’re asking me for my opinion when you’ve already made the decisions. So, if I do said yes, or no, it wouldn’t change anything?.”
He pressed his lips together.
“You shouldn’t have met me, Author.”he said instead.
Beatrice laughed sarcastically before scattering her hair.
“You.. I need a knife. I want to kill you! You shouldn’t have proposed that business with me when you knew you didn’t want me around! Are you fucking insane?. I didn’t come to your house on my own. You called me over because you need my service. You’re one black sheep. You act as if you don’t care about everything but you are actually willing to achieve those things you pretended as if you don’t need underhandedly!”
“I didn’t force you to come.”he replied.
“Oh.. yeah.. I should have left you to die! Die! Die! Without my stories, you would be dead!”
He stopped the car abruptly at the side of the road and stared at her.
“No. I can easily find another way to survive. And, if I can’t, I can easily have you abducted. That would be an easy cake for me. Also, I have never for once declare things I would like to achieve as nothing. This has to do with my business. Get married to me, get rich, and get lost, It’s quite simple. From the moment you step your foots inside my house, you’ve stopped being the decision maker for yourself. I will use you as I please, but, I won’t hurt you, never.”he expounded.
Tears fell out of her eyes as she blubbered up.
“Gregory..”she took a heavy breath in.
“Why me?. You said you won’t hurt me?. What is it you’re doing now?. Aren’t you hurting me mentally now?”she bawled out.
He looked away and snorts.
“I can never assure you of not hurting you mentally. But physically, you have my word.”
“What are you trying to do?. I have a sick mother to tend to. I..”
“I will help you take care of your mom. Everything is going to be fine, Author.”he snapped.
“I have never seen someone as brutal as you. I hate you. You act as if you care today, tomorrow you will act as if you just dipped your head inside a boiling hot water. You’re one hell man. I wonder if the people, your people know how you really are.”
He snickers.
“Oh, please. Don’t worry about me, Author. Think about yourself instead. Next week is our wedding. Although, it might be fake, but I promise to make it one in a million for you. Is there anything you would like, anything you’ve always wished for on the day of your wedding?, tell me. I will fulfill your wishes.”

Henry removed his glasses in shock as he go through the official post of Gregory’s wedding ceremony.
It’s all over the internet.
No.. this isn’t happening.
He won’t stand still and watch him ruin his business.
“Jade.”he called.
Jade who has been standing outside his office, came in immediately.
“Sir.”he bowed.
“Look into this girl. I want you to take care of her. She must never get married to my son.”he instructed.
“Okay, sir.”he turned to leave.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Wait.”he stopped him.
“Make sure to find out why she is in his house also. I will destroy him then rebuild him. He has been so unfilial, it’s time to let him know who the boss is.”he added.

Tisha bursts out into laughter.
“Marriage?”she mocked while staring at the news.
“Well, I will make this marriage a good one.”she squirmed her lips.
“On, brother…”she clicked her tongue.
She went to her contact list and dialed a number.
“Hello, reporter Sandra.”

Beatrice went up to her room as soon as they got home.
Her vision has become so blurry from all the tears she has shed.
Her heart is heavy. She regret things, she wished she could turn back the time and never come there.
But, it was too late.
She remembered her mom who would need her beside her.
She just cannot imagine herself getting married to this wrong man.
Her mother’s words came flooding in her head.
“Get married.”she heard Bella’s voice.
Get married?
She sat up on the bed and rested her back against the wall.
She said what she wanted was to see her get married.
She sniffed and pierced her gaze into the wardrobe before her.
Is this a good one then?
No!
Her mother is not going to die. She already paid for her surgery so she would be saved.
But.. the doctor said her survival rate is fifty/fifty.
What if she doesn’t survive it?
Tears welled up in her eyes again.
Then, she would regret not giving her what she wanted.
It is wiser to prevent things from happening than to find a cure for those things when they’ve already happened.
*I’ll get married to him.*
