Chapter 3037
If Hayden was to never come back to his mansion again, Samuel would have claimed all of his niece's toys as his own.
When Elliot's driver pulled into the yard, the guard recognized Robert and opened the gate right away.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
When Samuel heard the noise, he walked outside and recognized Robert right away. "Mom, someone is here! They are from the Fosters!"
Mrs. Taylor immediately set her chores aside and glanced outside and realized that her son was right.
Startled, she immediately told her husband to hide upstairs with Audrey, and Mr. Taylor hurried up the stairs hastily.
"Take it slow! Don't fall! Don't let my little Audrey fall," Mrs. Taylor anxiously interjected.
"Alright, you attend to the guests! Don't worry about me." Mr. Taylor hurriedly carried Audrey upstairs.
Robert and his bodyguard approached the villa's entrance, carrying gifts.
Mrs. Taylor, with her son by her side, immediately welcomed them. "You must be Robert, right? What brings you here? And you brought so many gifts... Your mother didn't tell me you were coming!" Mrs. Taylor said.
Her smile seemed somewhat forced, but Robert did not notice. "My mother heard that Uncle and Samuel were coming, so she asked me to bring some gifts. She couldn't come herself because my sister is at our house today," Robert politely explained.
"Oh, your mother is really too kind! I don't even know how to thank her," Mrs. Taylor said as she went to get Robert a glass of water.
Robert noticed the sofa filled with colorful toys and asked, "Why are there so many toys in the house?"
"Hayden bought them," Samuel dared not say much.
"Oh... I remember now. My brother brought Aiden here to play." Robert felt that Hayden was overdoing it. "He only spent one day with Aiden here and bought so many toys? never realized he spoiled Aiden so much! And why are there dolls as well?!"
Mrs. Taylor did not dare to respond and neither did Samuel.
"Auntie, isn't Uncle here too? Where is he now?" asked Robert, glancing around the living room.
"Uh... He's upstairs, probably sleeping." Mrs. Taylor handed Robert the cup of water. "Living in such a big house has been giving him insomnia lately, so he's sleeping right now!"
Robert took the cup of water and found a seat on the sofa. "Auntie, are you comfortable living here?"
"Of course! Exceptionally so! Our family has benefited from yours, and we're really grateful! When Shelly returns, we must find an opportunity to invite your family for a meal," Mrs. Taylor replied politely.
"Yes, that's what my mother said
too. When my brother and Shelly come back from their team-building activity, if nothing unexpected happens, both families should have a meal together and get to know each other better." Robert finished his water and placed the glass on the coffee table.
Mrs. Taylor immediately took the kettle and refilled Robert's cup.
"Auntie, are you going to cook?" Robert noticed the basket of vegetables on the floor in the living room. Since Avery had instructed him to accept Mrs. Taylor's invitation to a meal, he was already prepared to stay and eat.
"It's not time for cooking yet. I was
just tidying the kitchen," Mrs. Taylor said as she quickly took the
vegetables into the kitchen. She then walked back out with the full
intention of seeing Robert off.
"Robert, we only have vel.ne
here, so I won't keep you for a meal! When you go back, please tell your mother that we're truly grateful for the gifts you brought!"
"Okay, Auntie. You don't need to see me off." Robert hesitated for a moment and was ready to leave when suddenly, a loud baby's cry resounded from upstairs.
