Chapter 3060
Elliot got out of the car and held the car door open for Avery.
Aiden had fallen asleep in the car, and Avery carried him out carefully.
"Let me hold him!" Elliot said. Aiden had gained a lot of weight and he did not want his wife to get tired.
Avery handed Aiden to Elliot, while Robert and the bodyguards carried the suitcases.
No one came out to welcome them home, and Avery, who could no longer suppress her curiosity, hurried into the mansion.
What she saw was Layla and Eric sitting on one end of the couch while Hayden, Shelly, and Ivy sat on the other end, and in between Ivy and Hayden was a baby dressed in a tiny white dress.
The little girl was playing with Aiden's toy drum, waving it to make noises.
Hayden never liked being in a nosy environment but was looking at the baby with an endearing smile on his face.
"Mom! You're back!" Layla was the first to notice her mother's arrival. She got up from the couch and walked over to her. "Mom, this is a little girl that my brothers found during their team-building outing! Isn't she adorable?"
Layla purposely teased her mother, wanting to see her reaction.
Upon hearing this news, Avery was caught off guard. "How can you just bring a child home like that? Hayden, did you call the police?" Avery had a strong sense of righteousness.
In the midst of talking to her son, she approached the little girl and carefully observed her.
Hayden shook his head, indicating that he had not called the police.
"Oh! This little girl is quite pretty!
How could any parents bear to abandon such a beautiful little girl? Avery sad as a thought crossed her mind. Thope she's not sick.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Otherwise, why would her parents abandon her? She looks well fed judging from those chubby cheeks!"
"Mom, Layla just said she's quite dark." Hayden could not let go of what Layla said earlier.
Layla never expected her brother to hold a grudge over her mindless remark.
Avery looked at Audrey again,
evaluating her. "It's true that she's not as fair as our Aiden. After all, she's an abandoned child. I wonder what hardships she has endured before you found her." As Avery spoke, a sense of compassion welled up within her.
Elliot approached, carrying Aiden in his arms, and Avery immediately shared the story of how Hayden found the girl during their team-building outing.
Elliot found it absurd. Although their family was wealthy enough to support as many children as they wanted, they already had their own children to raise, so it made no sense for them to bring another person's child in.
"We donate a substantial amount of
money to charitable organizations every year," Elliot expressed his view as the head of the family. "Among them is an orphanage. This child could have been sent to an

orphanage; there was no need for us
to raise her ourselves."
After Elliot expressed his opinion, Audrey seemed to realize that she was the center of attention, so she turned her head and glanced at Elliot.
That single glance left Elliot completely stunned as he thought to himself, "How could this little girl be so beautiful? Her eyes are bright and her gaze composed... Her entire demeanor is captivating."
"Hehe! This little girl is so pretty!" Robert looked at Audrey and liked her immediately, so he said, "Hayden, are you planning to keep her and have her marry Aiden?"
