Hayden's company was facing a crisis, and Hayden would never turn to Elliot for help.

Shelly felt both worried and conflicted as she could not help Hayden in any way.

If Hayden found himself a more capable wife, he might not have to struggle alone.

This was just the beginning. Hayden would run into countless crises and difficulties ahead, and the thought that she could not help filled Shelly with shame.

"Shelly, it will be enough for you to support him," Avery said with a smile. "He will handle work himself, so you don't need to worry about him."

"Aunty Avery, is that how it is for you and Uncle Elliot?" Shelly curiously asked.

Avery blushed. "Elliot is someone who appears cold on the surface but has a warm heart underneath. When I was starting my own business, I faced many difficulties, and he always found ways to help me. I would accept his assistance every now and then."

"And have you helped Uncle before?" Shelly inquired.

Avery laughed. "I did want to help, but he never gave me the opportunity. From what I know, his company has never encountered any problems. Maybe there were problems, but I was never made aware of them."

Shelly nodded and asked, "If you knew that Uncle's company was in trouble, would you do your best to help him?"

"Of course. If I saw him in trouble, I would do whatever I could to assist him. Love is all about supporting each other," Avery replied.

After hearing Avery's words, Shelly felt less conflicted.

"I understand now," Shelly said with a smile. "Let's go back inside."

"You go ahead! I'll take a look at the fruit trees in the backyard," Avery said, knowing that Shelly would want to spend time with the two children after returning from work.

Avery had a fun day playing with the two children and was satisfied.

The two little ones had become accustomed to each other's presence.

They often babbled and spoke to each other, which was rather adorable. They also had their fights when playing together. They liked to compete for things, and since they could not communicate through words yet, they resorted to using their fists.

Aiden was a bit stronger, but he also cried more easily.

Avery had discussed her findings with Elliot earlier that day, as they realized that they had pampered Aiden too much. They rarely took him out to play, which made him extremely vulnerable and sensitive.

On the other hand, Audrey had shown much greater resilience in various aspects.

Although the twins occasionally fought, they also played intimately.

Avery was eager to show off the two children, but she knew she needed to be patient.

Once Layla's pregnancy stabilized in three months' time, they would throw a big party and introduce the series of good news to their relatives and friends.

When Shelly entered the house, the two children were being held by the two nannies. Aiden had tears on his face while Audrey held a toy and played attentively. Shelly immediately picked up Aiden and comforted him, telling him not to cry.

Audrey furrowed her eyebrows upon seeing her mother holding her brother. She dropped her toy and reached with both hands for Shelly, wanting to be held by her as well.

"How about we go to the couch to play? I can't hold both of you at the same time," Shelly said, carrying Aiden to the couch.

The nanny who was holding Audrey immediately brought her to Shelly's side. Once Audrey was next to her mother, she clung to her, while Aiden imitated her and rested his head on the other side of Shelly's chest.
