Chapter 3136
Ivy glanced at the receptionist and said, "My friend's name is Lucas Woods."
The receptionist immediately handed the package to Ivy. She took the box and walked toward the hotel entrance.
"Has Lucas realized who I am? Why else would he give me my grandmother's bracelet?" she thought.
Outside the hotel, rain poured steadily and cars rushed along the street, but Ivy's heart was peaceful.
Holding the package, she headed for the elevator.
Back in her room, Ivy opened the box and carefully examined the bracelet that contained all her childhood memories.
Upon returning home, Lucas unlocked his phone but found no messages or calls from Ivy.
She must have received the gift, and he wondered how she was feeling at the moment.
He suspected that Ivy was Irene, but he lacked the courage to confront her directly. In fact, he had already asked Ivy this question before, and she had denied it.
Lucas was a sensitive person. He knew Ivy had settled in Aryadelle with a loving and wealthy family. Though the way she dressed did not scream wealth, her demeanor and manners revealed that she had been well-educated. Only children from wealthy families exuded such self-assuredness and that differed from Irene greatly.
Although Irene was optimistic, she lacked confidence. If Ivy was indeed Irene, Lucas did not know how he should go about the situation.
Ivy lay in bed with the bracelet around her wrist.
She knew she should send a message to thank Lucas, or call him to say something, but the moment she had received the bracelet, her strength and courage had evaporated. She was sure Lucas saw the undeniable connection between her and Irene.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
After a while of lying in bed, Ivy sighed, grabbed her phone, and messaged Lucas. [I've received the gift, and I love it.]
There was no reply from Lucas.
Ivy stared at her phone. There was still no response from Lucas as midnight approached.
She set her phone aside, closed her eyes, and muttered to herself, "If he doesn't reply, that's fine. There's nothing important to say anyway I'm the one who lied first. He might be angry, and that's why he's ignoring me."
The next day, Ivy and Archer arrived at the airport. Before boarding, Ivy messaged Lucas.
[Mr. Woods, I'm boarding my flight now. I'll bring you souvenirs when I return!]
After sending the message, she turned off her phone.
Archer glanced at the bracelet around Ivy's wrist. "Where did that bracelet come from, Ivy?"
Ivy lifted her wrist to give him a closer look. "Isn't it pretty?"
"Do you want my honest opinion?"
She glared at him. "I think you'd better shut up."
He burst into laughter. "It looks a little old-fashioned and doesn't seem like the kind a young lady like you wear. Was this a gift?"
"You are quite perceptive," she said.
"Judging from how much you like it, I assume it's from Lucas."
Ivy fell silent, and Archer asked worriedly This can't be some kind of gift to confirm your relationship, right? Did he seriously buy you this cheap bracelet thinking that this would make you his girlfriend?"
"This isn't cheap! This bracelet means a lot to me! Stop commenting on things you don't know about!"
